Hey people. Sorry for my rather sudden disappearance from IRC and things.

School started stacking up stuff far quicker than I had anticipated and I have been running to catch up. It kind of screwed up my focus on things like Intrigue, so I hope to get back on them as soon as possible. I am getting the hang of the way college works rather quickly though, so I anticipate it won't be very long.

In the meantime, I have been working on my nation's history and religion, something which has always bugged me in RPs since I had to make stuff up on the fly. When I have that worked out, it should help me keep focussed as well and allow me to work more efficiently.

That said, I am sorry to hear about your father's uncle. My condolences to you and your family.

Just saying, but if I lived in Florida, I would have very little interaction with this game. My physical geography has a lot to do with my interaction on this site. Ha!

Thanks everyone for the prayers and whatnot. It means a lot. :)

My condolences to your family, Trellin.

haha well, yes, I'll be at the beaches plenty... but not until I am able to get a car, the beach is a half hour drive away. lol

im in Hawaii, and im on NS more than the beaches.... haha

but that's cuz I work so much that by the time im off, most beaches are shut or overran with homeless who will steal your stuff while you swim

Someday....I *will* live in Hawaii. It is on the ten year plan for now. I've had enough of shoveling. It warmed up today, which opened the door for it to start snowing. Once the blanket comes, it will be here to stay until April. On a interesting note, I will be on nonstop NS until April as well....le sigh

Where do you live? I used to live in Utah and worked for the Ski Industry...

One of my favourite memories was going out to my car at 4am to get ready to head to work and it was -22F outside, thankfully I took car of my car and it was able to start, my roommate however attempted to grab a few things out of his car before we carpooled to work and his handle snapped off...

The first time I wrote CAR, I ment "CARE"

I live in Anchorage, Alaska, so I know what those mornings at -22 are like. The temperature had been in the teens this morning, but like the first snow every year, the snow brings with it warmer temperatures. But me and winter are not very good friends--he doesn't play nice to me.

This is America Nik. We use Fahrenheit

My favourite part about America refusing to use metric and Celsius is that American scientists do anyway because it's more sensible.

So does the US military, except for the Navy. Mostly for distance, but also for volume measurement. Actually, I think the Navy's only throwback is nautical miles.

I live in the UK, and I must say that the weather is quite conducive indeed for NS.

The nautical mile is quite interesting because even though it's not an SI unit, it's accepted by BIPM, who decide what gets to be "metric." It's because of the way the nautical mile is defined, which is something like 1/60 of a degree. Somehow this makes it work better with charts.
