They did a thing on NPR on recipes from the 1950s or 1960s, and popular things people would put in jello, and worst-sounding IMO are vegetables. :P

Our A Van Down by the River creator has a new popular show. Anybody watching it?

What is it called?
We have some ice today so the town is paralyzed. So,good day to have something new to watch. :)

I thought Chris Farley died ....didn't he?

Chris Farley's been gone for quite a while.

Maybe it's a show about reincarnation.

Now that would be spooky!

*dyes the river green*

:)

Hey Cats & Kittens -

Where's everybody? Spring break? Flo-rida? Baja? How about Bermuda? (purrfect this time of year - a hop/skip for you Perc & Pickle. If you haven't ...do!!)

I see DizzMo was here - she has an investment in St. Patty's, right?

It's raining here (yeah!!!). Not much but just enough to soak me to the skin if I stay out any longer. Lovely & warm - a green world just like the river, only natural! ;) Gardens bountiful, chickens cluckin' and layin' - good eats!

I spoke with a cousin, yesterday, who has a daughter at Univ. of Vermont. (Burlington) It's soooooo cold in the Northeast that you can walk across Lake Champlain to New York.

I had 2 words ....
HOLY SH*T !!!!!!!!!

Woooo! Erin go bragh!!!!!!

I think she should go bra-less!

Because I know that tonight, he'll have a seat of prominence in some glorious watering hole, I'll psychically deliver to the Judge a most appropriate dish .... "Beef Cheek and Stout Pie with Stilton Crust" .

Happy St. Pat's !

Hello all; work has me busy, which is why you don't see a lot of me around the vanry.

Today (well, tonight) is Spring. I cannot wait. Look forward to seeing everyone and their garden. :)

Wow, we're down to 9 Nations in the vanry. Did the rest foreclose on their vans? Did Madame start a commune somewhere else?

Does everyone have their hammocks aired out?
It is time for hammock reading and campfire happy hours.

Madame ceased to exist!

How do we play the card game?

Click on the link from a computer and go!

I love that game :)

I think it's like Crazy 8's.

Does that really say 7 nations? Railriders ...gone? I think that's a first. :-(

On a brighter note, we're doing a spring fling/bunny hop kinda thing here at our favorite 'getaway/not-too-far-away', San Diego. :-)
A little cottage tucked inside an avocado orchard - we pick all we can eat and for me, that means 3 per day. The citrus groves fall away to the sea - Swami's Beach - and the whole SoCal groove; yoga studios, vegan cafes, surf shops, coffee houses, smoothie bars.

It's a flip-flop world!!

Happy Easter, Happy Passover xo

Percy j pickleface

Happy Easter or Happy Passover!

Count me in for cards. I've got a fresh deck from Greece I need to break in.

Happy Easter and Passover this weekend to everyone!

We're down to 7?! I'm not into marketing. Should we attempt to draw people in? Or leave us as our small group of whatever we ares?

Hhmmm
I'm not sure

The game (in person ) can be quite offensive but oh so funny. We should play down by the lake around a bonfire.

Percy j pickleface

Sounds good to me. What time shall we meet up?

Attracting new nations is difficult and even if we wanted to try what usually works - bribery - we have precious little to bribe with. Next to no dough and minimal amounts of alcohol and drugs. (thanks to MB)

But we could try "Friday Night Mixers" at Lake Meeliki. Nations would visit and just maybe, decide to move here.
I could get the food truck out of storage (remember Steely Dan?) - it's been there for 3 years - and we could spruce the place up. Tiki lights, picnic tables - like that.
Mimes could work the door and act as bouncer, I'd be in the truck (of course), Dizzy's dance troupe could perform on the dock and Percy & Pickle can work the bar, pulling pints. We can waive the cover for the first week. I think it's worth a shot.

By the way, I just got tickets to Oleta Adams at Yoshi's next month - great venue, should be a good show - maybe MB will take a seat in the back. ;-) If you're in SF, let's have a drink.

I haven't dusted off my brass knuckles in awhile...sure...I'll bounce! Let's all have mai tais. Or something.

The new outdoor fabric for the f'bett will arrive on Thursday. I have a crew coming out to switch it out.

Oleta at Yoshi's. That should be nice.
