This region is in my best interests. I would not lead you wrong. After all, I was appointed an RP Mod by Eurussia for my dedication to the region.
The transition will be difficult; but I'll be honest, with all of our help we can restore it to what it once was.
I will not leave you all in suspense, the region will be linked within a spoiler below so as to not be read as region join spam. Check it out. When a faction of us moved over there, we took a lot of influence from our region with it. I do truly believe we are more or less one in the same.

Eyy I was just wondering what happened to our friends in that region. How is the region? Are they active?

That's a really good point. If we start a new region, maybe we should just start a new forum and transfer whatever we can.

Serenarea wrote:Eyy I was just wondering what happened to our friends in that region. How is the region? Are they active?

Not as active as I'd like. That being said, I do want us to become more active. I believe if we kind of got together again, we could build from what we have left.

If you do start a new region, you should yes; now keep in mind I would be more than happy to assist in the moderation/administration of that forum as I have here. However, if we merged with the region I posted, we'd be fine forum wise as it already has a fully functional, and quite empty, forum.

One of the main problems I had with the WA forum was the lack of shared power on the forum. Eurussia's gone and he was the only Admin on the forum. There are ways to gain control of the founder account, but that requires admin connections.

If we decide not to merge, then I would gladly take up the responsibility of helping manage the forum should we decide to form our own group.

My computer froze half way through that message and it had to restart. My hope was that it was saved..... It was :D

I'm not really convinced that we should abandon the World Alliance. We should reform it. As seen with our friends in the Global Federation, there are many regions in which the Delegate has executive powers instead of the founder. In our particular case, Eurussia wanted to maintain executive powers to the founder position. However, in regions with executive Delegates, like the Pacific regions which are the largest in NationStates, there is a clear Delegate that people choose through an external ruling body (like our security council) instead of a few people squabbling for the position. And they have not succumbed to raiders. This was what I wanted in our region now that the Delegacy has become important in the World Alliance. Huperzia and I could have conflicted non-stop for the Delegacy, which would have just led to unstable leadership and conflict. We were already doing so, in fact, as we were fighting for endorsements to get ahead of one another. However, I understand the concern with raiders. But the fact is that there are more than a thousand regions out there and hundreds of regions with executive Delegacies. We are just statistically unlikely to get raided. In the chance that we do get an influx of puppets or the sort, Snarfia and I can ban them and close the region. In my opinion, we are not in danger and I don't think that we need to fracture into smaller groups. However, I'm open to any reasons why we should leave.

As for reform, I have several ideas. For example:
First, we need to recruit the 76 nations that we have in our region into the forums and RMB, making them feel welcome and making this region more active. Second, we really need to revise our world fact book entry section so that it doesn't look so antiquated and make it way easier to use. We also need more info up there. Third, we can recruit nations from other regions to swell our ranks (how I got here years ago). Fourth, we need to set up a new Security Council that sets up a separation of powers between the Delegate and President (basically what we're doing now). The Security Council would also have the power to confirm who the Delegate would be so the seat would be safe. I think that Snarfia and I could achieve in reforming the region so that there would be absolutely no cause for concern.

The fact is, there is no guarantee that we won't be targeted. And we won't know until it's too late. I'm not even joking about that. The reason the Pacific regions are so large is due to the fact that they are feeder regions meaning that nations are founded there and only there.

There is an absolute lack of control in this region, and it's not a stable road we'd be going down if we want to function normally as a collective group. I honestly hate to see some things go but sometimes it's out of our control. Not saying it wouldn't be worth trying, but I will say that it will be extremely difficult to manage certain aspects of our region without full control given to a group of people.

Brexit, something I've been surprisingly calm about despite my desire to remain.

Then again that's just being British, being slightly okay with everything.

Well spending me time watching the WAXIT process while drinking a nice Earl Grey tea.

It might be getting over ruled, I'm not even sure our nation can politic anymore.

The whole thing was built upon lies (both sides) and more leavers didn't even know what the EU was and now many want to be back.

How I spent Brexit.

Only to sigh, complain to the only other remainer I knew, scold my friend for voting to leave (even through her area voted to remain, because Scots) and then went to my slightly okayism.

Aliens.

How is Brevet the one with the most endorsments while he has none? And which two in this region dared to un-endorse me :|

Please don't set Snarfia off, this regency council is already ripping itself to pieces with the lack of tea.

I did the maths, we'll be out of hot chocolate by Friday.

Okay people. Zday is comming. I will close the borders soon and I expect everyone in the region to use: Research a cure, which helps to lower your region's infection rate. Enough nations working together can slow or stop the spread of zombies and even begin to turn infected back into survivors. However, this takes time.

Embracing the Zombies will result in a penalty!
