The supreme imperium

The New Changeling Empire wrote:Lacewing watched her changelings guide the Elven diplomat this and that way through Incommodious, eventually arriving at the top floor boardroom she had selected for this meeting. She reached out in the Hivemind to check up on her children with Constantine, her husband having disappeared into the ether after a special meeting with Princess Twilight. An anger rises in her chest as she thinks about her lost love. How could he just go off like that and leave her on her own? Yes, Valcouria had been lost but it could have been reclaimed in time but those edicts he made hamstrung what little remained of the old Valcouria that it was easier to just let it die and rebuild later. She sighs as she refocuses on herself, the elevator bell going off as she smooths out her red dress and stands at the head of the horseshoe shaped table. "Right, time to talk."

The elven diplomat had surveyed the woman before him before she even reached the table. Red dress, human hands for smoothing it out, attached to a human form which stood upright. At this he raised an eyebrow slightly. After she had briefly introduced herself, he responded. "Miss, I hope you do not take offence, but there is certainly no need to waste your energy to, in a manner of speaking, deceive us. We are, after all, entirely aware what you look like normally, and in our line of work one quickly becomes accustomed to forms the average citizen of the Imperium would find alien."

He cleared his throat slightly, and continued. "That said, though, yes, let's begin. Now, this relationship that your... 'hive'... has developed with the commonwealth." He said the word 'hive' somewhat hesitantly and awkwardly, as if he was not certain it was the correct word; nevertheless, it was apparent he more or less meant 'state'. "Surely you expected diplomatic upsets, no? There are better options, as well. For you and the world at large alike. Am I correct in my assessment that your hive's primary concern behind its recent alliance-seeking behaviour is its own sovereignty, and that it has no particular loyalty to the commonwealth...?"

Yasuragi wrote:It is with regret that we request a formal accounting of the situation from the government of Vespergale, in light of the recent denials from a fellow UGR member state, but the reputation of nonhumans has long been sullied with under-handed and devious diplomatic dealings. We are informed, however, that the people and government of Vespergale wish to enlighten themselves, removing their people and nation from the rather large and murky shadow cast by the Equestrian Imperium -- which has done much to damage the reputation of nonhumans worldwide -- and so we are sure that the Vespergalian government will assuredly be able to procure evidence that supports their claims. It is a shame that the burden of proof lies so heavily on their shoulders, but with their already-damaged reputation, through no fault of their own, and the natural requirement to prove one's claim..... the Foreign Ministry sees no other alternative.

We lack evidence to support that we were indeed attacked. But the military and government does not wish to take any chances. That is why we have strengthened our eastern border. Vespergale has no intention of assaulting either Astros and Aestros. Even if they are found to have attacked us we will try our best to negotiate a peaceful resolution. And I would like to notify you we are currently investigating the matter at hand. It has proven difficult as of far due to lack of communication and conflicting reports on the subject. We shall release our findings to the public once the investigation has concluded.

Imperial News - Naval Buildup Measures, Western & Southern Coastal Fortification Initiative Passed

Large-scale military buildup measures, focusing on active navy increase and coastal fortification buildups along the western and southern coasts, have been approved by the senate today. Commentators lay blame for this unprecedentedly massive increase in readiness on two neighbours with chilly relations and general global instability, further exacerbated by the large presence of the Exterminatidoirei in the political process since the last election. The buildup calls for imperial credit spending in the billions on coastal fortifications and the eventual construction of seven new, state-of-the-art large aircraft carriers, among other things.

The highlight of the new bill, however: it calls for the construction of a single example of the new, experimental 'Ultima' schematic aerial super-battleship, the largest and most heavily armed and armoured aerial battleship ever slated for construction by the Supreme Imperium and perhaps ever. Head of the design bureau behind the schematic, Urantha Tovieus, remarks: "The craft is envisioned more as a mobile theatre base than as a conventional aerial battleship. Fully loaded with the maximum loadout of weapons and units, it's intended as the centre-piece in an operation of conquering enemy states in a total war scenario, moreso than a role as an attacking vessel."

The Imperial Orthodoxy Organisation requests permit to access the affected areas for the purpose of distributing aid.

As long as they are escorted by JSDF personnel, and do not stray too far.

180,000 Zealots have been cleared for dispatch to affected areas. The grand matriarch has approved a crusade of charitable intent to restore the affected area, meaning these 180,000 will be further bolstered by adequately trained and briefed citizens of the Imperium in unknowable number, potentially in the millions.

OOC:Collectivist germania.

Uralianya may send a delegation of ministers as well as a foreign legion to Welthauptstadt Berlin. We make a friendly reminder that all national security laws are to be obeyed during their time in the Greater Germanian Reich at all times.
Glory to the UGR

OOC: They've generally been non-canonical in the past -- for the same reason that we retcon nuclear holocausts. Playing as essentially destroyed states is fun for a little while, but not in the long run for most people, and new players that join as non-zombie-affected-nations would have an instant and massive advantage over weakened states, unless we dictated their IC history, which we're reluctant to do.

Mlg gaming wrote:ooc: A nightmare everyone had? idk man, it's like what Yas said.

OOC: In the past (when people tried to make it canonical), I think the explanation was that aliens came and reset everything.... so basically the "it was a bad dream" explanation.

You're no where near this island. Curb your stupidity.

At 0934 this morning Lenspherian Navy began sorti3s above the anarchic state of Engler. By 1140 it is expected for the first Marines to make footfall. Little resistance has been met and observation craft have reported areas of mass genocide by the current government, as well as various smaller groups separately running towns as if they were city states. Video has been released to the public as prove of these heinous acts and other unlisted crimes

The Foreign Ministry of the Greater Empire of Yasuragi is under the impression that the Supreme Leader of the Democratic Republic of Korea speaks for the UGR in this incident. We hope a diplomatic resolution can be found to this dispute between the UGR and the Lenspherian government.

The UGR has no say on this matter. We are conducting a peacekeeping operation the is quite obviously needed. We haven't broken international maritime laws so there is no reason to threaten us.

That may be the position of the Lenspherian government, but it is -- regrettably -- not the position of the Germanian Congress or its leadership at the present moment.

It represents no security issues to the Germans nor their allies so, please, do tell why such a position has been taken.
