The Enlightened Empire of Alyria, or commonly called the Alyrian Empire or Alyria, is a Imperial Absolute Monarchical Hegemony or Absolute Monarchy for simplicity, where it's states and dominions are ruled by smaller monarchs or nobles. Monarchs can be defined to hereditary royal rulers of a specific land that had gained the right to rule over them long ago while nobles are defined to be nobility or ordinary citizens that had gained sufficient political power within republics or non-dynastic states within the Alyria Empire. It is bordered on the north by Rovryssia while it the rest of it's borders are surrounded by water. Alyria covers 12,434,900 square kilometers and has an estimated population of 547 million, making it one of the largest nations in the world overall. Ruler of Alyria, His Imperial and Royal Majesty, Emperor of the Alyrian Empire and it's holdings, Suzerain of Velen, Lancaster, Genyreea, Lorraine, and Azov, High King of Cirilla, King of Lyria and Rivia, and lastly Galicia, Archduke of Culvyra, Nilfgaard and Silesia, Grand Duke of Aeden and Istria, Duke of Alzburg, Carniola and Tyrol, Heir to Kokishinnoji, Lord of Havengard and Smolensk, Leonardo Valentyn Rosenwen of House Rosenwen, the Blood of Old Alyria.

Alyria is a great power while arguably defined to be one of the global superpowers in Aenscira. It competes with the other global powers within the world, wishing to project its influence to the entire world and proudly call itself a hyperpower. It tries to solve regional problems diplomatically, though not afraid to return to its former imperialistic solutions. The nation mostly tries to stay isolated and neutral in international affairs not concerning them, but sometimes likes to flex it's muscles to show its not to be messed with. In reality, it is most likely a superpower within Aenscira noting all the land and resources it possesses.

The political ideology it currently follows is left-leaning centrism, however generally the empire practices Realpolitik or pragmatism. Due to it's nature of still procuring an monarchical government with an empire-structure, it is isolated from the world.

Etymology

The word Alyrian comes from ancient Alyric English that dominated the entire Alyrian peninsula, meaning "First Rulers of the World", as the word and name, Alyria, refers to "Land of the First Arch Rulers". It's said that Alyrians are entitled to the world due to the roots however it's just rumors.

The standard way to refer to a citizen of Alyria is as a "Alyrian." It is pronounced as "A-Leer-ree-Un"

History

Most of the area the Cirillian Empire currently holds was formerly administrated by an ancient Culvyran empire that was once called, Alyria. The Old Alyrian Empire held dominion over vast areas such as present day Cirillian Crownland, Lancaster, Rivia and Lyria, Daletova, Genyreea, Kokishinnoji, and even stretching as far as the entire continent. Current day Culvrya, specifically Musica was the heartland of the former glorious empire. They were masters of ancient warfare and dominating the others through sheer power. They were inherently Germanic, though they spoke the English language. With this knowledge we can concur that with the Germanic blood had flown through the originally Slavic homelands creating the present cultural, political and geographical region as we know it, Alyria. It's official name they called themselves were the Kaiserreich of Alyria or the Old Alyrian Empire. Though it only used the force of their military and dominance to subjugate their enemies, had rarely used anything related to hegemony nor having the natives administer themselves. It was thought to last over a thousand years, and it did though no one during the time would have foreseen the collapse of the empire so soon. Now having such information gathered, we can now see the cracks that had made the empire fall. Internal conflict between races within the empire was common, racism was never regulated albeit the acceptance of Alyrian dominance above all others. Soon hatred among others grew, even towards their superiors that made feel inferior in almost every way. The military was too loosely spread apart to control the growing populace at the time. Military ranks started to break into their own races and ethnicity to protect their kin and keep the blood "pure" from others. In the end the empire collapsed due to economic and internal reasons; as the last region to be split apart was the homeland of the Cirillians, the people that would soon be destined to revive the ancient empire and unite Alyrians under one banner.

Commonwealth Era

After the collapse the entire region went into turmoil and strife. Nation-states started to turn up left and right from previous city-states. Kingdoms and duchies started to arose from the ashes and people began to work for their rulers even though some were the same ethnicity. Eventually a era of eternal warfare plagued the former region owned by the ancient empire, disease and increasing death rates were common as well. This was a realized problem for the few Cirillian nobility that existed. In time they met in meetings and worked together to make sure they didn't have the same fate as the other nearby areas. With the idea of having a single nation under one banner grew into existence with a national council as the head of the government. It was successful and fended off against other states that tried to gain power, though this was just only temporary for them. Their population grew immensely unable to sustain themselves, creating famines and becoming increasingly susceptible to invasions from the east. The importance of diplomacy towards outside states was dramatically focused on. They looked towards the kingdom of Oskresensk, a nearby state that had neutral relations at the time and also also ethnically Cirillian. They made an agreement to protect each other and encourage the flow of trade between both nations as it was essential for the survival for both. This move proved to be of great value as it deterred others to invade. The Commonwealth of Cirilla focused on the west which was a economic hub for the known world, as it was near the Isles of Dawn, sacred and holy islands of Mariism. They invaded the west area we know as the Sanctuary peninsula, capturing important trade cities and putting them under control. This helped relieve the famine and food shortages for the nation greatly and not worry about an invasion from the west as well. With the wealth and trade of the sanctuary cities, it brought prosperity. This made their military focus heavily in the eastern borders of the commonwealth. With an alliance with Oskresensk, they together invaded nations for their resources and land to farm. With the Commonwealth's special Winged Cavalry, they would capture the later be called Cirillian Crownland, the homeland for ethnic Cirillians. Cirilla had grown considerably despite facing famine and food shortages.

The Commonwealth was revered to be a time-stamp when the old empire had ruled and brought peace to the continent, causing foreign scholars from the west to migrate their to learn of the classical past. Technically a democracy, Cirilla was ruled by former nobleman who of which inherited their titles from Old Alyria provinces or even further than that. They soon after however rescinded their nobility to become a nation "for the people", it was one of the first examples and evidence of democracies in history. One of the only still existing nobility were from the Winged Cavalry of the Commonwealth. The reason why this specifically is so important to Cirillian and even Alyrian history is that, it was a precursor organization to the Witchers' Guild. Without it, it can be said everything we know would not have existed in the first place. It is even credited to the Witchers Guild's allowance of having women to such organization as the Winged Hussars had both men and women noble soldiers. It would continue to exist even after the commonwealth era to rumored present-day. Cirilla would then conquer the surrounding islands, putting it under their domain for the rest of history. This new nation-state grew to be a powerful player in regional politics and somewhat avoiding the Middle Age's plague of disunity and infighting, however this would only be true temporarily as human ambition and nature would corrupt the first "democratic" nation in the world.

A few centuries had passed, the council was starting to crumble as internal struggles began to arise. The Councilmen of the Commonwealth wanted to to impose different policies than the others. Both were split, arguing to no end. Though this gave an opportunity for one noble and convince the others that an absolute monarchy and the formation of a Cirillian Kingdom would be the best solution. Of course lots of councilmen refused to this, but it didn't stop the one man to persuade or even intimidate them to submit to his authority. Mysterious assassinations and disappearances grew common, fear overtook the commonwealth. People had fought for power, wanting a piece so they could rise of the ranks of social stratification. Slowly government institutions faded such as the Winged Cavalry nobility who of which tried to bring order but had no authority over the incompetent councilmen that ruled the country. They had spoken to their counterparts, but in the end a kingdom was established.

Era of the Cirillian Kingdom

After the formation of the Cirillian Kingdom, the King had made law and order the main priority for the nation instead of the former on military and peasantry prosperity. Crimes were rampant and the newly established kingdom seemed to be hell for most even though food was plentiful, corruption and bribery was commonplace for the administration. For years Cirilla was known as a hell hole, isolated from other states except for Oskresensk. Around the end of the Commonwealth era, a guild called Witchers was created to help fend off the things that plagued the nation. People who created this guild was indeed the nobles from the Winged Cavalry. Their goal was to bring back the prosperity that once rained upon the area. It grew to be a large dominating force for the country, bringing stability and hope back and even forced the current ruler of Cirilla at the time to grow more competent and actually rule with a fair hand. However it only lasted for a short while as the ruler soon refused to submit to the guild's power, due to their paranoia. The military and Witchers had fought against each other in a few battles in the Cirillian Crownland. The soldiers of the crown fell easily due to being under equipped and untrained. The Witchers replaced the ruler with their own ruler, Queen Rosalyn of House Istohter(Rosenwen). A Witcher in training, though was crowned as ruler of Cirilla as it was seemed to be an important role for her said by the guild and was also heir to the Nilfgaardian throne which was powerful empire at the time. Her blood was rooted from a former Cirillian noble house that still existed due to the Winged Hussars, which gave her the credit to proclaim the Cirillian throne later on than being a usurper. She was also said to be related to an supposedly extinct house of the Old Alyrian Empire which gave her even more prestige, as well as including her name to the Nilfgaardian throne. Her administration focused on the state, improving buildings, palaces, businesses and order for the people while a new house emerged with lineage of powerful connections. The citizens accepted their new ruler with ease, believing that this would be a new start for their country. Queen Rosalyn became the High Queen after former aristocrats and the people had swore fealty to her, she ruled benevolently and progressively becoming an precursor to the enlightened monarchs in history.

The newly established Queendom/Kingdom of Cirilla grew yet again strong after another hardship of history laid to rest. The rest of the years of the Queendom would focus on the perseverance and preservation of the country. Military priority was set aside for culture and economic improvements of the region and sustaining great relations with other nearby nations. Luckily being allies to powerful states such as Oskresensk and related to Great Houses of royal and imperial descent gave them ease. Queen Rosalyn had successfully made a political marriage with the Archduchy of Culvyra, a shadow remnant of the ancient empire, Old Alyria, thought they still retained large amounts of power as their fields provided large sums of food. Such power had brought Cirilla in the regional stage largely, making it's presence more noticeable even to the Elective Monarchy of Genyreea and the United Kingdom of Lancaster, one of the few most powerful states in the region. Culture flourished and the literacy increased within the country, people had thought they reached a new golden age. Though after an era of chaos many had lost the skill of social etiquette and other things similar such as, how to act properly with another person in public. Knowing this the crown had implemented plans on teaching the people of social etiquette and how to act properly according to their own opinions which was influenced by Mariism. They helped spread this by local markets, churches, business areas, and many other things. Thus a new culture was born which would be taught to newer generations to come, one that was entirely different than most. New Houses were created after the old ones started to fade away, though the bloodline still remained strong throughout history. For the next few hundred years, Cirilla would experience almost the entirety of peace, population growth, cultural assimilation, and unity.

However areas near and outside the nation would grow to be a thorn on the side and try to ruin the Pax Cirilli, or Cirillian Peace. Though with this era of peace within the soon to be called Cirillian Crownland later in years, it helped spread religious zeal's goals. Such as spreading certain religion within the areas. This was the early Middle Ages after all, warfare was common even though Cirilla seemed to be the one outside of it most of the time. Cirilla would help carry out "favors" for other nations in return for influence or just plain out helping without the need of a return. Though things were always a "favor for a favor" within the politics of the Alyrian Realm. Never once the founders of the nation would control a large portion of the realm later in the future. Cirilla did have a few enemies, as they saw the blooming nation to be a threat to the "balance of power" in the region. During the end of the Early Middle Ages, the Velenese Empire, Genyreea, and Lancaster had grown some kind of distaste for the Cirillian Kingdom. Around the High Middle Ages and towards the Renaissance Era changes of the political structure had not really changed in the Alryian Realm exceptionally for the Azov region where royalty had died out unnecessarily. Everything west of them did not change their ways of governance, as nobility and royalty was seen to be valued for some reason. It was probably due to the Code of Chivalry that was adopted after the Old Alyrian Empire fell. Cirilla, Genyreea, Lancaster, and Auschwitz were one of the first nations to follow the old yet working code of honor and respect, other nations soon followed suit.

The High Middle Ages had just begun, giving birth to a whole new ideal for the Cirillian monarchy. Around the beginning the archduke of Culvyra had been bed-ridden and died from a fever, coincidentally the ruler of Cirilla had past away a few weeks later. The heir of both territories would inherit the lands and rule them both, making Culvyra under Cirillian control from now on with Nilfgaard being under the sphere of influence. With this gain, fresh soldiers could be recruited to the military that was desperately needing warfare experience due to the long period of peace. As well as this gave an increase to the labor force between the states. After new rulers came to the throne by hereditary lines, one was different from the others. In that they were more aggressive than the usual sought for peace in regional politics. Such a flaw of wanting more power was something that seemed to be a necessary evil, it was to eat or be eaten. Many credit it to be a justification as either way Cirilla had to increase their power by being an empire or succumb to the authority of another. This person was King Hyrald II of Cirilla, Archduke of Culvyra and Heiress of Nilfgaard, he would soon begin the path of the Cirillian empire that will bring Alyria to greatness. Cirilla would start to open their trade ports to other nations across the sea that had more fortunate times during the Middle Ages than the Alyrian peninsula, bringing more wealth to the country. They would even start to trade with the Koki Empire seeing it as a cultural center.

Era of the Cirillian Empire

Campaigns of invading nearby neighbors had begun. It had brought bloody outcomes and caused many casualties to the Cirillian military as they were inexperienced, however military commanders had learned quickly from observing other armies in previous regional wars. Thankfully due to constant fighting between smaller states, those nations had become too weak to fight the combined Culvyran and Cirillian armies. Slowly engulfing the local region, other powers became paranoid of Cirillian power. They were right to fear the new power, as it did force many under their rule while Nilfgaard was pushed out the role of a key player in the Alyrian realm. Such intimidation had caused the King and Queen of Lyria and Rivia to bend the knee to the Cirillian Emperor before they had even set foot in their land or declare war at them, at the time Lyria and Rivia were powerful states so when the rulers had bent the knee it was a symbolic reminder that war was too costly to be worth it and how powerful Cirilla had become from a small democratic state to a land-hungry empire. With the gain of land from Lyria and Rivia, food resources had become abundant for the people that lived under the empire. At the same time Altriism had started to spread replacing other religions. It had existed in Alyria for a longtime but other religions had pushed it out for some time however being under the peace of an empire, it's words had reached the ears of many causing most to return to their former origin religion.

Compared to the rest of the world, the Cirillian Empire were one of the few nations that escaped the fate of disunity and constant infighting of the Middle Ages. After seeing the growing power to be a threat, the Holy Genyreean Empire had allied with the United Kingdom of Lancaster to wage war against Cirilla. The HGE(Holy Genyreean Empire) were a monarchical electorate rather than a true empire like Cirilla, they elected an "emperor" from the chosen head of states that would rule over the "empire" but held no true power, which was probably one of the reasons that caused to the failure in the Ciri-Genyreean War. The United Kingdom of Lancaster had only formed recently and still experienced rebellions between feudal lords, same with the HGE. Cirilla did also have a feudal lord system as it was created during the Middle Ages but all would change after the war. In 1239, the Lannister army had sailed across Nottingdam Channel the lay between Lancaster Kingdom and Lyrian Dominion. At the time there was no Cirillian navy to forewarn the coasts of the empire, only the few merchant sailors that dare sail the waters of piracy and looting. This invasion had caught the Cirillian Monarchy off guard as they did not expect an invasion from them so soon, while at the same time HGE troops started to invade from the east of Rivia, taking large portions of the newly instated kingdom of the empire. A reason attributed to the Cirillian military's failure to respond up north was due to their sisterly nation of Nilfgaard facing a succession crisis which made Cirilla focus over there to ensure Nilfgaard would not have fallen. Luckily, Empress Lavette II of Cirilla had gotten public support for claiming the Nilfgaardian throne due to Queen Rosalyn's royal history originating there. With Nilfgaard merging into the Cirillian Empire, they had lost Lyria and Rivia to the Lannisters and Genyreeans for several years.

Of course with failure comes to the emergence of solutions and better decision-making for anyone, specifically applied to the Cirillians as they would be the first to apply modern political ideology, therefore being one of the Founding Mothers of the Renaissance since it implored into early-modern political mechanics. With wealth coming from the sanctuary peninsula with it's trade routes and vast land mass of the empire, Cirilla could succesfully launch a counter-invasion with all the necessary supplies given to the military against the coalition. The HGE-Lancaster coalition had occupied all the way to the point near Oskresensk and Culvyra, which was one of the largest loss of land for Cirilla in history. Empress Lavette II's success and her political achievements seemed to make her confident in making talks with the coalition to end the war. However in 1242, the peace meeting in Scalla, Lyria and Rivia between the Cirillian Empire and the HGE-Lancaster coalition, the coalition had broken the common code of chivalry accepted in the Ayrian Realm by tricking their guest, Empress Lavette II and killing her instead of speaking of peace which was the original intention. In history it is now known as Scalla's Betrayal of 1242 which is rated second in of the most morally unacceptable events in the world with the Blooded-Wedding of Luxem coming in first. This even had horrible consequences and actually backfired against Genyreea and Lancaster as it was used to unite all of Cirilla. Imperial Prince Alexander III which inherited the throne becoming emperor soon after had become devastated had went around the empire, invoking heartwarming speeches to unite the nation against their enemies. It was one of the earliest forms of state-promoted nationalism that took out ethnic nationalism. Emperor Alexander III had promoted and ordered his officials to speak against the coalition and it was typically successful while the military had made plans to take back the land. This would attributive to the Highrose Agreement of Hegemonic Right and Imperial Council of Nobility later on by Empress Myra I that would lead Cirilla out of their feudalistic ways of rules. Emperor Alexander III and his military, with the help of the Auschwitztas army of the Grand Duchy of Auschwitz, had finally ended the war by retaking Lyria and Rivia as well as occupying parts of Genyreea in 1249. This had significantly weakened the HGE and Lancaster while they were isolated from the rest of the Alyrian peninsula due to Scalla's Betrayal of 1242. Through the later centuries, Cirilla would accumulate mass wealth from Sanctuary and Kokishinnoji's trade routes as they controlled them while continually growing in strength.

During the 14th and 15th century in the Cirillian Empire, it can be characterized as somewhat unstable and sporadic due to rule by detestable rulers of the empire. Their rule were normally short however corrupt and focus on their own luxuries than the welfare of the people. After the Ciri-Genyreean war the empire was mostly peaceful and growing back to power which can explain the laziness of the Cirillian rulers at this time. In 1349, Emperor Yavalon II had brought his empire to the lowest point after the recovery by spending most of his treasury on

About a hundred years later, the entirety of Cirilla would change dramatically to of which it would have never before foreseen. Cirillian Emperors and Empresses did offer conquered regions to let their rulers rule in stead over the state under Cirillian Hegemony as long as they swore fealty. They didn't like it but had no choice to as, only to rebel. Not only this showed how strong Cirilla was in military terms but also how it would undue the balance of power within the realm. In 1549, Kokishinnoji was broiled in civil war by land overlords that wished to claim new land for their own. The Empress/Queen of the Koki had pleaded for help, she had inherited the throne shortly after the start of the civil war but had yet mastered or known politics or even her aristocratic subjects below her. The Koki aristocrats had refused to bow before her, seeing that she could not rule the throne properly and wanted to rule themselves. Private armies were raised and fought against each other, blood to blood. Kokishinnoji was in ruins and chaos, it could no longer be recognized as a state. When Emperor Viva I took the throne after his father had past away, he saw the Koki War as an opportunity to practice the power Cirilla had gained, to show others how intimidating Cirilla actually was. He had allowed Empress Ayaka, ruler of Kokishinnoji to seek refuge within the Cirillian Crownland where she would stay for the rest of the war that ravaged her home country. The navy would soon arrive near the capital, facing head to head with Koki aristocrat's ships, the battle seemed non-ending in the sea as blood rippled in the water distorting the color. The Cirillian naval capabilities were poor and faced humiliating defeat which led to military commanders finding others ways to improve their naval capabilities later on. The war raged on as Cirillians entered the battle with their early musket matchlock weapons, opposing all sides except for the official Koki government. The Cirillian Legion, named after the armies of Old Alyria drove out the invaders forcing them to make peace and submit loyalty. For the captured Koki aristocrats, it was rumored that every single one of them were executed seeing that they were too stubborn to submit or rebelled against their original government. Rebellion was something Emperor Viva I could not take a risk on, so he ordered the execution on all of them, as it was rumored.

Year 1598, the Koki Civil War finally ends with the intervention of the Cirillian Empire, or Cirillian Kaiserreich. The Kokishinnoji Empire ended forming into a queendom under Cirillian Hegemony. Invasion and conquest of Kokishinnoji by Emperor Viva I could be attributed to the fact that the emperor was fond of the culture that resonated in that specific region. Also that Kokishinnoji was located in a strategic trade center but never used that potential in their favor, so instead of letting other powers such as the Camillian Empire have a chance to take hold of it they would take it upon themselves. Later that year the Kingdom of Oskresensk willingly joined the empire, they had thought it was for the best or maybe because of political pressure of the Cirillian nobles nearby? It did however indirectly create the Imperial Council of Nobility, as the governance structure turned to be a mess of the medieval past it still held true to. During the reign of Emperor Viva, he would fend off invasions coming from Lancaster and suppress rebellion either by execution for intimidation or military occupation. Other states grew weary of Cirilla and some had tried to declare war against the Cirillian Empire but failed miserably, due to the military prowess of the Cirillian Legion had gained beforehand had and assassinations of rulers and important figures. Assassinations were highly mysterious and extremely hard to find out the culprits or who carried out such orders, was it from the state? Or an independent organization in of itself. Emperor Viva I did marry the Queen of Lorraine which was a powerful nation at the time, with that political marriage they successfully cut their numbers of enemies by a half. Emperor Viva I had also made agreements with Empress Ayaka to marry his nephew which would link both houses together later in the future under House Rosenwen. He had also created military campaigns that conquered the rest of Genyreea and started to form a stronger navy as the threat from other empires across the Isles of Dawn and Ryushiki Islands grew to disrupt trade. Most of the population in the Alyrian peninsula as well had converted to Altriism as well which brought unity and peace, so that conversion can be attributed as of why the feudalistic system did not fail as of yet in the Alyrian Empire. One of the most symbolic moments of Emperor Viva I's reign was when he had taken the Crown Jewels of the Old Alyrian Empire, which resided in Highrose, and proclaimed the Cirillian Empire as the successor of the Old Alyrian Empire and changed the flag of the empire. He had once refereed his empire as the High Alyrian Empire, which grew during the High Middle Ages and said it would grow to higher lengths than the old empire. As many heard of this proclamation, Proclamation of Alyrian Accession, they had accepted it as the Cirillian imperial royalty were descendants of the Old Alyrian imperial royalty. This was also the time when ancient classical Alyrian texts were being recovered and translated to modern Alyric English around the whole continent.

Accession of Alyria

For the next hundred years the Cirillian Kaiserreich or Alyrian Empire would then occupy a few more nation-states and start to change the government administration. They would stretch all the way up to Upper Ebbing, encompassing around the great rivers. During this time, vassal monarchs usually had no say and was disorganized where there was no meetings of any kind or standardization of laws. It had ruined the empire greatly by complication and disparity of certain areas inside the nation. In 1663, Empress Myra I would institute the creation of the Imperial Council of Nobility. It should have been made long ago with the founding of the empire but the focus of military campaigns and conquest swept it aside until now. The empress had called fourth a meeting of every single noble authority within the empire even though they were at war against a few nations. They had discussed about the standardization and organization of the governmental empire, it was called the Highrose Agreement of Hegemonic Right. It would indeed outline future treaties of military victory and as well as other ones that did not require warfare moreover dominance of a certain sector of importance. The agreement standardized weight, currency, and other things, also nationalizing the military where they would only swear to protect the empire rather than their own individual states. However nationalizing the imperial military was already into effect, though less elaborated, since the Ciri-Genyreean war, as it was deemed important at the time. This would entirely push Alyria out of the Medieval Era and further towards the renaissance. Empress Myra I would also go to further lengths in strengthening the navy and focus a lot more on their southern trade routes. She indeed conquered Lancaster with the newly formed and stronger navy as well as the other island states associated with them.

Now the Cirillian government had now fulfilled their promises they made with their allies, though some agreements they made were kept from the public. Lancaster and Genyreea was now under Cirillian rule. The Cirillian monarchy had started to turn absolutely harsh on those who betrayed them for their own cause; torture, an old punishment still took effect and those who experienced it prayed to Mari, wishing their lives be ended swiftly. That part of history is something we do not talk about, as ugly as it is, the torture penalty seemed necessary for this empire. The rulers of the recently occupied state were given a "second chance" to redeem themselves by the Crown Prince himself, as he was more lenient than Empress Myra I. Nationalism was everywhere, indoctrinating generations and generations, it was for the good or ethnic tensions would arise again once more. After the death of the Empress, Wilhelm Velimyr Rosenwen had taken the throne with many problems on his desk at the start of his reign.

Sanctuary is a salt flat said to be the birthplace of the national animal, the phoenix. It is surrounded by fields of cherry blossom trees, which is illegal to chop down and face years of imprisonment if doing so.

Mount. Emhyr was home to a previous nation's stronghold conquered by Cirilla long ago. It is very important location for the believers who's faith is based on the old religion that was common in the past.

Demographics

Language
There are many unique languages that exist in Alyria or the Cirillian Kaiserinreich, English is the only official language however where it is required to be taught and learnt within the realm. Any immigrants, not tourists, that wish to move here are also required to learn the English language.

Alyric languages differ from the language they come from in that all the Alyrian languages have common words and grammar that can be understood at a basic level between all Alyric speakers. Which is why someone who speaks Alryic German can somewhat understand Alyric Japanese, though it is coped with Alyric English as a mediator anyhow. Many words are borrowed from each other, specifically in the English language as it takes many words from the regional area of Alyria.

Religion
Only law that is mentions religion is the Freedom of Religion Act, freedom to believe any religion without discrimination. The Cirillian Monarchy, not the Cirillian Government, officially switched to Cirillian Orthodoxy not to long ago, a sect of Altriism. Cirillian Orthodoxy is the most dominant religion there is in Alyria and expected to grow within the years. Roszarian/Cirillian Orthodoxy is very similar to Altriist Purism though different in some aspects that are considered to be very important. It follows the Mariiphra(Altriist Religious Text) as well as recognizes that the Altriist Priest Council of it's sagacity and authority to the religious background. However in Cirillian Orthodoxy, it further allows Altriists to help teach others the ways of Altriism and tries to convert them to Altriism, unlike Altriist Purism. So priests and regular folk are actually able to help the religion grow and spread further. As stated, already following the basis of normally followed interpretations of Altriism, it does not require one to pray constantly or commit their lives fully to the religion, only to help understand the placement of themselves and the environmental surroundings around them, making their own philosophy influenced by Altriist teachings. Though in Cirillian Orthodoxy, one disregards the original interpretation of that governance and religion should be separated. Since the specific text was vague and monarchies that was chosen by divine legitimacy had existed beforehand, though only approve of this when the Altriism Priest Council declares the names of divinity. Ruins are more overly focused and preserved as before, seeing it as something that should be protected by all. So in all, Roszarian Orthodoxy is more lenient and relaxed than Altriist Purism, the original interpretations.

The government is made up of the Emperor/Empress, his/her Advisory Council, and the Council of nobles. Nobles are kings, queens, or highly regarded individuals of former independent states. The Imperial Armed Forces of the Alyrian Empire(IAFAE) are a highly trained, advanced, and large military that mostly consist of active troop numbers. Though compared to the other "superpowers" in the world, it's numerical forces are smaller than most.

Snowspear Valley

Snowspear Valley is a nickname for the west megalopolis metropolitan area, which is located from the coasts of Highrose all the way to Velen. It is home to many of the world's largest high-tech corporations, as well as thousands of startup companies. Geographically, it encompasses all of the Highrose of the Cirillian Crownland, and northeastern portion of the Cirillian Crownland. It includes Oskresensk entirely and parts of the Velen Kingdom, only near the city of Velen; southwest of the state.

The word "valley" refers to Rosebloom Valley, where the region has traditionally been originated, which includes the city of Highrose and surrounding cities and towns. The word "Snowspear" originally referred to the mountainous region where it started to encompass, specifically around Oskresensk. The term "Snowspear Valley" eventually came to refer to all high tech businesses in the area, and is now generally used as a synecdoche for the Alyrian high-technology economic sector. It also became a global synonym for leading high-tech research and enterprises, and thus inspired similar named locations, as well as research parks and technology centers with a comparable structure all around the world.

Snowspear Valley is a leading hub and startup ecosystem for high-tech innovation and development, accounting for one-third of all of the venture capital investment in the Hegemonic Kaiserinreich. It was in the Valley that the silicon-based integrated circuit, the microprocessor, and the microcomputer, among other key technologies, were developed. As of 2013, the region employed about 2.25 million information technology workers.

Culture

One of the richest places of culture in Alyria is in the Culvyra state, known as the music state of Alyria due to they're dedicated school programs for the arts. They create the best musicians across the nation rivaling against the world. Kokishinnoji is a hub for the entertainment industry, they're most known for animated TV shows called anime which are streamed nationwide. Alyrian has at least 3 culture festivals every year to celebrate each single culture in the country individually.

Alyrian Society

Chivalry- Code of Conduct: During the reign of Old Alyria, the populace was endowed in respect due to the social stratification and disparity between the occupiers and locals. Alyrians had taught the locals that they were inferior and had to be beneath them in anyway possible, forming a respectful culture for the commoners of the populace. After the collapse of the ancient empire, people had adapted and adopted the code of conduct into their own states to instill order and make sure peasants would not rise against their rulers. Though it was not adopted soon after or everybody were willing to return to such beliefs then. The first few regions that had adopted them and improvised the culture surrounding it were in Illisia(Cirillian Crownland), Lancaster, and Genyreea. It became fixed in the local culture like it used to be though changes were made to fit the local regions. Gradually engulfing every entire culture within the Alyrian Realm, chivalry has been a basis of societal culture in Alyria for over a thousand years.

Today in the modern world chivalry still exists in it's slightly altered form. Formally a greeting towards a stranger, higher-up or anybody not a part of the family, friends or anyone a person would not know would be greeted with a curtsy by females while a bow by males in the society. A noble would greet a commoner the same vice versa, both would greet each other with a curtsy or bow no matter the social class. Even cultures and local regions that do not have nobles and instead have a democratic society are still subject to this Chivalry or Noblism. Code of Conduct or Chivalry is the main reason why Alyrian society comparatively way different than other societies of the modern world as even though it expresses freedom as one of it's tenants, the fear of showing disrespect towards others is still socially taught. Compared to the United commonwealth of ivera, the people can be very distinguishable within two powerful nations of the same power. Thus Alyrian society can be characterized as revolving around respect of others.

Nationalism and Patriotism: Both are very similar yet different at the same time, though both ideas are well founded within the Cirillian empire. Around the 13th century about during and after the Ciri-Genyreean war, the Cirillian government had started to actively promote nationalism inside the empire. It was meant to condition the populace/society to further strengthen domestic ties or otherwise feudalism would have continued and erupt more future conflicts of ethnic tensions. The Cirillian empire at that time held many ethnic groups and races, there was obvious tensions between some when people were allowed to roam wherever they pleased not knowing the local customs. As so the Cirillian government saw fit that in order to prevent domestic squabbles was to help endorse the idea of nationalism and instead have that old idea of promoting ethnic nationalism which would have surely been the downfall of the empire.

Nationalism is common, almost seen everywhere in Alyria. Though nowadays it is subtly introduced to the populace in the education system and then enforced by relatives and immediate family members unknowingly or involuntarily. It is the basis of the stability structure for Alyria as multiple ethnic groups and ordinary separate groups exist in Alyria, without it unity of the empire would fail. It is even taught further in high school an college to help one's understanding of why their country is important to them, although this is also an area where patriotism is also taught. As an adult your normally would be nationalistic or understandably patriotic for those who are still skeptics. So in all Nationalism and Patriotism is a part of life for Alyrians, even to an extent ultranationalism and chauvinism for some.

The positives of nationalism and patriotism can be described in many ways. The empire instead of rejecting the modern type of nationalism developed in the 17th-19th centuries embraced it and procured to it's own type of nationalism that can be studied today in the present world called, Alyrian Nationalism. It instead of focusing the on a single ethno-linguistic race, it grabs the thought of "Internationalism", the direct opposite of nationalism that is inherently present in Alyria and mashes it together while proposing the unification of a empire-like state demographically, and politically. It calls for that anyone that is a citizen of the state should work collective together for the benefit of the state, or the basic definition of modern nationalism. However in Alyrian Nationalism, the line of what exactly defines a citizen of state is obscured. This is due to the fact that Alyria itself is not a individual nation-state but a empire consisting of multiple ethnic identities. It causes the individual to override the boundary of the human concept of 'race' and work together and be fiercely patriotic with different ethno-linguistic groups for the good of the state. While defining that the citizens of the state should work together, it does not define what specifically is a citizen of the state cause people in other countries could theoretically be a citizen of the empire due to the imperial nature of a empire that would absorb any outer country into the empire.

Alyrian Teenagers
Teenagers in Alyria are given more privileges than an ordinary teen in other countries. In Alyria they are seen to be in the most important stage of their lives, as their personalities can change dramatically from a single event. They are mostly seen as young adults. After they finish Junior-High (6th-8th grade) teens must take an exam to enter High Schools of their choice. Publicatus and Elitus are different types of High schools teens will choose. Publicatus are like regular schools for normal teens, there exams are not difficult while the ladder, Elitus are for more gifted teenagers therefore the exams are more difficult. Elitus high schools dedicate themselves to certain school programs such as music, sports, choreography, theatre, and etc. Students are allowed to stay in school after school hours for clubs, practicing instruments, and other things. Going home at night is a common occurrence for busy teens. School uniforms are compulsory for Elitus high schools.
