~For the first time in 10000 Islands history, an islander lost to the "I decline to vote for [candidate]" option. Though this dubious achievement may be founded in disappointment, it might just give the foundation for a great campaign next election season!

~The month of March led the 10000 Islands to some new frontiers! More specifically, to testing the mechanics of the upcoming Frontiers and Strongholds update! The 10000 Islands has created its own Frontier region and has already begun testing! Truly an interesting development!

This month, BCN senator The cavalier knight interviewed Lenlyvit!

The Cavalier Knight: First, I wanna thank you for coming back go be our Delegate again- after at least two previous terms. That's some real dedication. What made you come back and do it again a third time?

Lenlyvit: I guess I could say that the reason I ran for the Delegacy again was to help rebuild the WA area of XKI. For the last few years, even under my previous terms, the WA section of 10000 Islands has been diminishing and severely overlooked. This is something I want to change.

The Cavalier Knight: Ahhh, quite a good goal. That's slightly before my time so I'd quite like to see the full potential of XKI's WA apparatus. Moving on, being the Delegate of such a sprawling region requires a lot of vision and direction. What is your vision for the future of XKI, outside of the coming F/S update?

Lenlyvit: My vision is for XKI to be a stronger force in the WA, to have a bigger impact and influence on proposals than it does now. That includes working with other regions on projects and understanding how they handle their WA aspects as well.

The Cavalier Knight: Of course! The WA is a major aspect of any region- especially XKI. I look forward to seeing how you revitalize our presence within the WA. Now to address the elephant in the room: the Frontiers and Strongholds update. It's public knowledge now that XKI has it's own Frontier region and has already begun testing, but that can only go so far without a plan. What developments do you want to see the F/S update bring to the table for the 10000 Islands?

Lenlyvit: The biggest development I want to see it bring to XKI is being able to return the founder nation Grub to the actual player that originally created it. I also want to see it utilized in a way to pass on executive powers to successive Chief Executives via the Successor capability. This will go a big way towards continuity in XKI without having to share nations, and I can't wait to see it come about.

On top of that, I want to see it utilized to grow our community to be larger than it already is. For quite awhile we've been struggling to get our population back up and engagement back to former levels, and I'm hoping the F/S update will help with that.

The Cavalier Knight: Certainly! I do remember the short window of time, last year I think, when XKI had over 2000 nations. I think all of us would love to see that return! For the final question, I'd like to move more towards the present. XKI has been around since almost the very beginning of NS and has seen many things come and go. In your opinion, what is the biggest thing that makes XKI great as it is today?

Lenlyvit: The biggest thing that makes XKI great as it is today is the community within the region. We have a lot of really great people in our community, and it's just generally a really good place to be in on NS.

The Cavalier Knight: It certainly is! XKI was my first region, and I think my willingness to keep coming back after two years of playing- during which I have come and gone at least three times- is a testament to how magnetic the people are.
