Laws of Palatine

Coinage Act of 1422 Proposed by Mlociniakik

As Palatine progresses towards a larger and more dense future Palatine needs a stable and standardized currency that will be recognized in any part of Palatine. Such a currency will promote trade throughout palatine without requiring merchants to carry a miscellany of coinage accepted in various realms, and will additionally ease the complication of administration of the empire's finances. The Imperial Diet therefore authorizes the creation of such a central currency; the Imperial Crown Mark, subject to the following;

Issuance-
1. The Currency should be issued from the city of Konburg as it is in the center of Palatine and one of the richest cities in Palatine.

Composition and Design
1. The currency should be a coin which is made up of 22.8 grams of gold and 11.4 grams of copper.
2. The design of the coin shall be a circular milled edge coin marked on the face with an image of the imperial crown, and on the reverse with the seal of the issuing mint, the year of creation, and a mark for the individual smith responsible for it's creation.

Embassy Policy Act of 1423 Proposed by Haganham

1. Requirements for Embassies
Palatine seeks to establish embassies with active regional communities that seek long-term cooperation between our regions and are compatible with our own region's ideals and culture. To accomplish this, we hold prospective regions to certain minimum requirements, namely:

Regions must have been in existence for more than 6 months.
Regions must maintain an active community with a population of at least ten unique members.
Regions must be willing to assign a diplomat to Palatine to post regular updates on happenings in their region.
Regions must extend embassy posting privileges to all residents of embassy regions.
Regions must be open to holding interregional events with Palatine.
Regions must allow Palatine to invite their members to regional events, by RMB post if no other venue for such invitations is assigned.
Regions must not be an invader region.

Additionally, Palatine holds its embassy partners to OOC community standards and will not open embassies with regions that promulgate hatred towards others (fascists, supremacists, etc.) or fail to address OOC issues that threaten the safety of their (and by extension our) community.

2. Application process
Regions that meet these requirements should send an application to the Chancellor of Palatine. This application should include a brief description of the region and its culture, its reason for seeking embassies with Palatine, and its plans for future interregional cooperation with Palatine.

3. Establishment of embassies
Once an application is received, it will be forwarded to the Imperial Diet of Palatine for a vote. If a majority of the Diet approves the embassy, the Chancellor will inform the regional official who sent the application that their application has been accepted and will begin seeking a member to act as Palatine's Emissary to the region. At this point, an in-game request to establish embassies will be approved.

4. Maintenance of Embassies
Palatine places great importance on the positive and cooperative relationships it maintains with its embassy partners. To this end, we expect our embassy partners to maintain an active and engaged presence with regular updates on happenings in their region, and to be open to holding interregional events with Palatine. Additionally, Palatine holds its embassy partners to OOC community standards and will not maintain embassies with regions that promote hatred towards others or fail to address OOC issues that threaten the safety of their community.

5. Termination of Embassies:Palatine reserves the right to terminate an embassy at any time if the embassy partner fails to meet the requirements outlined in this policy. In such cases embassies will be terminated by vote of the Imperial diet.
