The Military Federation of The Wolf Hold is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Marshall Fell with an iron fist, and renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 3.36 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Syzran. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Military spending recently hit a new high, the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, murderers frequently escape punishment by claiming they were protecting their honour, and military service is compulsory. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. The Wolf Hold's national animal is the Wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is the Templum Lupus, and its currency is the Volk.

The Wolf Hold is ranked 29th in the region and 47,453rd in the world for Most Politically Apathetic Citizens.
