Now, of course you don't have to agree with everything that conservatism stands for. For example, I don't agree with nationalism, or at least what it's associated with, instead I believe in patriotism.

Nationalism and Patriotism are synonyms. There is no difference between the two.

It depends on the context. If you're residing in a nation, on behest of said nation, then you should want to become part of said nation. If you flee from a 3rd world country to a 1st world nation, then whine and complain about how that country isn't like your old one, and should be changed to accommodate you, then you should leave.
