This is a crystal that we have been trying to get. There is only one crystal in each region. We needed 12 crystals. We now have 2. This crystal will make 3. I'll explain when we get to the The Dictatorial Paradise. Are you coming with me?

Officers are elected by registered citizens. Ordinarily that happens every four months, but anyone can step up to challenge an incumbent officer before then. If there is enough support a snap election is held. If you want to run, you can post your campaign in "The Assembly" section of our forum.
What would you be interested in doing? Have you ever been a regional officer somewhere before?

A good preliminary step (and one that might be expected by voters), however, is to get involved in a department before running for officer. For example, you could become a journalist for The Rejected Times (https://rejectedrealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=85&t=10029836), or join the Culture staff to plan events and games and other activities (https://rejectedrealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=10019458), or become an ambassador (https://rejectedrealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=10019531 - although FA definitely takes a bit more skill and knowledge than you'd get from just being a diplomat), or help with Outreach (contact Kyorgia for that).
You don't have to do any of this - we've had some Officers who had little involvement in any regional activities before - but it's a good way to show you're active and competent (and thus deserve to be in the government).
Other offsite involvement like helping with forum roleplay, being active on Discord, or signing up to the RRA (our defender army - https://rejectedrealms.com/viewtopic.php?f=102&t=8423296) could be considered helpful too.
