EMERGENCY ALERT
Main Page has fallen victim to a disease, currently known as WIS (Weeping Ink Syndrome)
Citizens are ordered to stay in their homes

Do not come in contact with anybody who has the following symptoms:
Constant, unprovoked aggression (late stage)
Graying of the skin and hair/tentacles (mid stage)
Hallucinations that intensify when near water (early-mid stage)
Sudden willingness to enter water (late stage)
Graying of the eyes (early-mid stage)
Leaking of ink through pores, eyes, nose, and mouth (mid stage)
Constant weeping/crying (mid stage)

Actions the government is taking:
ALL flights in and out of Main Page have been canceled
Suits that can reduce risk in case of infected household members are being delivered to every home in Main Page
ALL businesses and schools are ordered to temporarilly close
Martial law has once again been initiated
A branch of the military has been given cleaning duty
Citizens who have dyed their tentacles white, grey, or black must apply for a certificate that notifies the government that they are WIS-Free

Actions citizens can take:
DO NOT go outside. STAY IN YOUR HOME.
If an infected member wishes to go to the water, DO NOT let them go. They will attempt to break out of your home and will have a sudden spike in aggression. Simply put on the government provided suit and lock them in a room where they will be isolated, so they will drown in their own ink instead of in the water. This can be significantly easier to clean up, however you shouldn't clean it yourself. Instead, leave it to professionals by contacting a cleaning crew.

Day 2:

MORE INFO ON WIS HAS BEEN DISCOVERED
It takes 1 week for symptoms to show up. Until then, everything seems normal
WIS is caused by a parasite that lodges in your brain
Once symptoms show up, usually it's too late for anything and you should start thinking about who gets what and how your ceremony goes
The Parasite can move in almost anywhere if the infected being dies in water, however if it dies in ink, it cannot move outside of the ink. This is why we prefer patients to die on land instead of in the water

Day 3:

More info on Weeping Ink Syndrome was discovered:
The parasite eats your brain and that is what causes the sudden behavioral changes. These changes can be affected by mental conditions such as depression/anxiety
Only beings that can produce ink can get WIS. This means the elderly are now allowed to leave their homes and rejoin the outside world, but nobody else can.
The parasite has a small chance of dying if left in ink for too long. However, as a precaution, citizens should still call a cleaning crew.

Day 8:

UPDATE ON WIS
As of today, testing for possible vaccines has started. Quarantine has been partially lifted. Businesses have been opened, martial law has ended, and people are now allowed to go outside, provided they stay 6 ft away from everyone except those they spent quarantine with and wear a mask. However, this does NOT mean that the virus has been eradicated, and people should still follow these basic safety tips:
Do not let infected people leave their location.
Do contact a cleaning crew once the infected has died
Do not let patients enter water
In the event you have to come in contact with a patient, ALWAYS wear a suit
UPDATE ON FLIGHTS
Flights in and out of Main Page, as well as domestic flights have been restarted, meaning you may use air travel again, provided you have a negative result from a test taken at least 1 week before you check in to your flights.
Flights to and from South Austral have stopped until further notice, as the government wishes to make sure that they are not affected by the pandemic, even though we are taking extra steps. We are currently contacting their embassy.
