RP: The Public Protest Amendment
Upon a review of the Sapian constitution, the Consul is horrified to find that there is no clause or article that protects free speech. As a response to this terrible oversight by Sapy's framers, the Consul proposes the first amendment to the Sapian constitution. It will protect the right to publicly protest, as well as the general right to free speech, including the right of expression and association. Amendments require a vote of two thirds from both houses of the Grand Assembly. The Chamber, the lower house, seems like a safe two thirds. The Senate, however, could be more difficult. The Consul is hopeful, however. This amendment will not, however, affect the current temporary ban on Nationalist parties in the government, as that has to do with national security.

Today it was announced that a pair of healthy twins, one male, and one female, were born to Sol Minor Aleksandre Mikhov II and Sol Mina Juliana Mikhov. A week of celebrations has been announced, with plans to publically announce the twin's names during a naming ceremony at the end of the week.

RP: Green Spring
Today marked the start of the Green Spring protests, organized by the student-led Alliance of Green environmentalist groups. The protests successfully stopped a day of classes at universities across the country with mass walkouts and blocking the entrances to lecture halls. The Alliance of Green has increased in prominence, demanding that legislation be passed by the Sol Invictus to reduce the environmental damage being done by mass industrialization.
RP: First Vitorran-Mitterni Gang War
Recently, a long string of shootings, arson, and bombings came to a head with a mass shootout between seversky of both the Vitorran and Mitterni Syndicates resulting in some 14 dead seversky and many more wounded with over 20 arrests on both sides by the Solis Imperium Marshalls. The gangs have been fighting a prolonged gang war in the central city of Heliosertun, a small city notable only for its role in logistics in Atraland, being a major railroad hub along the north-south route and as a result, is a valuable place for smuggling rings to control. It seems the gang war started a few months ago when a Vitorran smuggler by the name of Peter Myzokvich kidnapped, tortured, and executed a Mitterni smuggling ring leader named Miko Donkovi for encroaching on his territory. The gang war escalated when Donkovi's brother and head of the local Miterrni enforcers, Mikhal, found out that it was Myzokvich that killed his brother and decided to execute a series of bombings and shootings as revenge, with things quickly spiraling out of control from there as both the Vitorrans and Mitternis dumped millions of Arctoes of guns, ammo, and men into the conflict in Heliosertun to control the smuggling route. With Heliosertun being as small as it is, the local police were quickly overpowered and had to call in the Solis Imperium Marshalls and local garrisons to act as military police in the city. It is thought that after the most recent mass shootout, that the conflict will die down as both sides attempt to lay low to avoid the inevitable crackdown by military police.
RP: Military Friendship
As part of the ongoing alliance with Blayredeshia, the Sol Invictus has today offered a pact to station troops and construct bases in each other's countries so in the event of war or civil unrest in either Atraland or Blayredeshia, both sides can respond quickly. In a statement today on his thoughts on the relationship between Blayredeshia and Atraland, the Sol Invictus said,"As it stands, the Solis Imperium and Blayredeshia are in a peculiar place in the world. We are surrounded by competitors to our success and are largely cut off from the rest of our allies due to our position on the global stage. It is in my opinion that the best future for us is one of close cooperation and partnership, where we stand together to face the ever-present threat that is leftism and globalism and to be ready in the event of war or conflict, whether it is at home or abroad.".
RP: Response to the Solist cry for help
Hearing the cry for help from Solists in Icewindia, a combined force of the 23rd Berets and the Crimson Berets numbering about 51,000 men with air support have begun mobilization to enter the region and escort Solists from the landlocked fort to the sea, citing it as a fundamental religious right. The troops have been ordered to avoid conflict and maintain strict rules of engagement to not fire unless fired upon. The Solis Imperium has also offered to begin importing large amounts of weapons, ammo, and food, as well as train the Solists of Icewindia and help them form a standing army, with offers to back a Solist invasion of the various tribes around Fort Lyken to secure a path to the sea permanently.

Hearing of Blayredeshia and their plans to remove the commies from Dharkolfia, the Solis Imperium has offered to mobilize a 400,000 man strong task force comprised of the 145th and 892nd Air Cavalry Corps, the 412th Armored Corps, 435th Heavy Mechanized Infantry Corps, and the 77th Light Motorized Infantry Corps. The task force has been designated Task Force Verde and will receive full air and naval support, as well as the ability to request special forces support for various operations as needed.

Therefore, we offer our help, humanitarian aid, taking care of refugees, but we cannot offer our army to the peacekeeping force. We believe that this political body should remain outside the alliance, but with greater mechanisms to prevent the spread of conflict, such as an embargo on insurgents and separatists, or an ultimately imposed measure of sanction.
We can discuss these two proposals after we see how we will develop further.

With the food acquired, Machi instructs AE to move forward with the plan to attack the military base in Southwestern Sapy. The CIS agents will arrive first to determine the scope of the security at the base, and will then report back with an assessment and a recommendation of the best possible attack plan. After this, they will move on the base, execute the suggested attack plan, steal supplies, and kidnap officers.

Atraland has approved the land lease to build a military base along the Atraland-

Today, at 10:33 AM, Sol Invictus Aleksandre Mikhov I, the founder of the Solis Imperium and the great military mind behind the victory of the Solis Imperium against the National Unionists during the Fourth Atralandian Civil War, has died. It is reported that last night around 11 PM, the Sol Invictus fell to the ground in a seizure, hitting his head on the wall. This fall caused him to slip into a coma as he slowly bled into his brain. Despite having access to the best medicine in Atraland, it was deemed too risky to operate as the chance of killing him during the procedure was too high, and so instead the royal family spent the night in prayer. It seems that those prayers fell on deaf ears, as at precisely 10:33:42 PM on the 9th of February 2140 at the age of 68, Sol Invictus Aleksandre Mikhov I was declared dead, with his son Sol Minor Aleksandre Mikhov II being brought to the Tempare Solis, the largest chamber of the Cathedral of the Seekers, where at 11:00 AM sharp he was coronated as the new Sol Invictus Aleksandre II, with his wife Sol Mina Juliana being declared Sol Minora, and their new son being declared the new Sol Minor and heir to the throne should something happen to the new Sol Invictus Aleksandre II. Following this, the 9th of February has officially been declared as Aleksandre Mikhov I Day and will be a national holiday to celebrate the life of the founder of the Solis Imperium every year. As well as being remembered as the founder of the Solis Imperium and the mastermind behind the Solis Imperiums victory in the Fourth Atralandian Civil War, Aleksandre Mikhov I is remembered for his many other feats, including the total restructuring and rebuilding of the economy to center around the north of the country, the founding of the now bustling megalopolis and capital of the Solis Imperium that is Sol Vitorri, completely standardizing the wolevan language under Dialect 233, the removal of taxation for the poor and middle classes, the rapid exploitation of the natural resources in the south and the settling of the once harsh jungles as now hilly farmland, the creation of the Imperial Space Association and solidification of the Solis Imperium in space with numerous satellite launches, as well as generally being beloved by his people. The new So Invictus Aleksandre Mikhov II has yet to make a statement to the public and it is yet to be seen how he will rule, however it is thought that he will rule similar to his father, as the two had a close relationship and generally agreed on matters.

RP: Eyes Turn North
The Nationalists have ordered 160,000 soldiers, combined with the Blayredeshian force, to march northwards towards the Socialists and towards Kempten. This time, they intend to take the capitol. The remaining 50,000 Nationalist troops have stayed behind in case any Socialist uprisings should occur. Ezrael has taken it upon himself to assign various men to positions in the Nationalist Army to better develop strategies and a military hierarchy. The positions and their holders are listed below

The Commander of the Army is the chief strategist and currently the highest honor in the Nationalist Army. The High General of the Army serves as an assistant to the Commander and takes the Commander's place should the need ever arise. General of the Infantry has command over infantry, and answers only to the Commander. Same with the Generals of the Artillery and Air Force, except with their own respective units. Supreme Battle General, although not technically the highest honor, is the most prestigious position. It is the Supreme Battle General's job to lead men personally in battle. The Vice Battle General is basically the same thing, just with less authority.
RP: A Slight Hiccup
The amendment to the Sapian constitution, which now rode with the ratification of the Proclamation of Freedom and Speech and Opinion, did pass the Sapian Senate. However...
When the amendment arrived at the Consular Palace for the Consul's signature, he found that the amendment, while still technically Resolution#3290, was now called the Counter Terrorism Military Funding Act. It made no mention of any sort of amendment to the Sapian Constitution and instead authorized an increase in military spending to fight Agno Ethnos and other militant groups as they may arise. This change was able to happen due to the intense deliberation in the Senate, which allowed opposition parties to slowly chip away at the bill. Fortunately, it did not have enough votes to override a veto, and was subsequently killed by the Consul. The Consul realized now that he must use his Consular authority to bypass the Grand Assembly if he wanted to protect free speech in Sapy.
The next day, Consular Order No. 684 was issued by the Consul's Office. It had all the effects of the original Public Protest Amendment, protecting the right to dissent and the right of expression, and it also ratified the GIC's Proclamation of Freedom of Speech and Opinion. Members of the Grand Assembly were quite annoyed at this blatant bypass of democracy, and while the people certainly supported the Order itself, they worried about the precedent that this would set for future Consuls. However, for the time being, democracy remains firmly in place in the Sapian government.
Increasing the budget
With the recent bolstering of the Moonflower economy President Meadow Lilly has made a decision in conjunction with congress to increase the military budget. Specifically the nation’s armored force will be getting extra funding to help better defend Moonflower and its allies. The remnants of the Environmentalist party tried to shoot down the bill but were too few in numbers after the murder of the late President Shining Star by radical environmentalists.

- "They came into Currow without warning. It was a clear day, the wind was still and heavy. There wasn't rain, no clouds or mist. You could've heard a man shoutin' ten mile away, but there was no presage of their arrival. Could've sworn they were ghosts.
They didn't shout nor roar. No profanities yelled, no obscenity or insults hurled. I saw them near McDonagh's, the poor man must've still been asleep, being it only eight in the morn. The soldier just knelt, then arose, then scanned the cottage, silent as a whisper and without an expression adorning his cold face. He reached into his expensive enough lookin' rucksack, and took out the metal canister within. The rest followed suit, doing the same to the other buildings.
In an almost pedestrian manner, they chucked these canisters through windows and doors. Before the roosters had crowed, the many small explosions woke us all. Great pillars of smoke then soared into the sky, while the flames wrapped around the thatched rooves and wooden supports. 'twas almost beautiful in its own way.
The hun simply moved on, not even waiting to see the horror they had created in our little hamlet. They were like husks, or machines designed only to inflict suffering and instill fear. This is why we fight, but if the flow doesn't change course, I don't see a victory as possible. If you could dare to even call it such."
In their wake, a trail of anguish and devastation was left. The Evacasian Army continued on their Long March South, as the Sonnenlicht Offensive crawled into its second and third months. Ruthless efficiency coupled with callous revenge became the order of the day. Civilians often found themselves in the crosshairs, the fate of Currow befalling many settlements like it. The Hun, as they became known, looted and razed every town and village along their path.
Eirú were powerless to stop the juggernaut, their efforts only slowing the inevitable. The rebel command, both military and civilian, became worried of what may happen to them. They were located in Cárnua, a now infamous city following the Siege. If the Evacasian Army was committing such atrocities against innocent civilians, what could they do to them?
The distance was closing. The Hun marched on, approaching the densely populated Marlandor coast. As forests turned to farmlands, farmlands to towns, and towns to suburbs, the marching of boots was overshadowed by only one noise - a cry of 'Avenge Cárnua!'
Cárnua descended into utter darkness. A black fog hung over the city, as the Hun set about razing it to the ground. Like death himself, they moved from neighborhood to neighborhood and door to door. Within days the city had been set ablaze. Taoiseach O'Ruairc was left with no choice. And so, from the bunker that had become his home, he radioed a message to his people and the world.

As the anthem played the broadcast off, Eirú largely surrendered. The War of Independence had ended, the first great Evacasian victory of the new age.
RP: Settling down
It's been close to a year since the Eruption of the Century began, Mount Asphalt has shown to have settled down as the minor eruptions have calmed down to where it has stopped and the volcano has gone quiet once more. The smokey plumes and ash clouds have begun to vanish but have traveled nearly halfway across the Akschoss Ocean and all of Fang Island and nearby smaller islands seeing at least a millimeter of ash on the ground. The Rainy Season has come by though and washed most of it away in the Western side of the island, but in and around the volcano, and especially to the East, ash was plentiful, at most 5 feet of ash near the eastern base of the mountain is noted, small communities measuring at most 6 inches causing roofs to collapse if they were not brushed off regularly. The skies though have cleared as air traffic is resumed back to normal. The Fang Island economy has entered into a recession affecting the rest of the Archipelago. Unemployment has risen and poverty has increased though not to critical levels that are threatening. In total, roughly 45,000 people have had small injuries, 12,000 with moderate injuries, 2,300 with injuries requiring medical attention, and 58 unfortunate souls that lost their lives, mostly due to the landslide, ash inhalation, and life threatening injuries that couldn't be treated in time.
