Oh, also, keep your eye out for RMB posts since that can also help you understand English sentences. Just use the sentences and spot any hidden grammar rules and stuff and you should be an English speaker in no time.

Also, Old Norse and Icelandic aren't quite the same thing, but Icelandic is indeed the closest modern day equivalent to Old Norse. And French isn't Germanic, but English certainly has A TON of French influences, and Celtic languages are their own language family.
