Common Core was implemented in 2009. I was already a sophomore in high school in 2009. If you were still in elementary school (since that's when you were more likely to be taught cursive) in 2009, I don't think you're even old enough yet to be using NationStates. xD

That being said, from what I just researched, even though Cursive is not mandatory in Common Core, it wasn't until around 2011 that schools began to drop cursive education. Pre-2009 (common core) it seems like it was pretty common for most school districts to still have cursive as part of the curriculum (more common than not).

Is your writing nice too?

my handwriting has often been compared to a doctor's handwriting. (Yes, that bad). Of course, if I put effort into my handwriting it looks nice, but my short form is cringe-worthy

Aw thank you 👀

I wasn't taught it after second or third grade and only started in first or second grade.

No it just looks like mine. I can't explain how my handwriting can be worse but yours looks like it.

i'm 18 and in PA where I live (Clinton County) it's not taught in any public school.

Huh. In Colorado Springs (CO) it was taught up until the last ~5 years or so when schools stopped.

When I moved to Colorado, most schools either required it to pass 2nd or 3rd grade and then typing in 3rd or 4th grade.

Cursive was mandatory back when I was in primary school in the UK. I don't think it's mandatory anymore. I think it stopped being mandatory around 2012 or 2013 in the UK.

I should build a dimensional portal to Sunalaya, pack my bags, and take a vacation in Ispanza. I'll go swimming, drink from a coconut, and probably forget to wear sunscreen thus turning me into a case of Newellian Barbecue by getting a hideous sunburn, LOL.

Then once I can convince the government to give me money for a plane ticket, I'll fly to Newellia and shatter the fourth wall by telling my nation's citizens that they are a fictional online nation created by me.

what Zhaas said..
treat an RP like a book or movie.
Fourth wall breaking is generally only allowed for light-hearted RPs or comedic RPs

Like if a philiosopher at University comes up with a theory that the world might be a simulation on the internet.
