Common Core was implemented in 2009. I was already a sophomore in high school in 2009. If you were still in elementary school (since that's when you were more likely to be taught cursive) in 2009, I don't think you're even old enough yet to be using NationStates. xD
That being said, from what I just researched, even though Cursive is not mandatory in Common Core, it wasn't until around 2011 that schools began to drop cursive education. Pre-2009 (common core) it seems like it was pretty common for most school districts to still have cursive as part of the curriculum (more common than not).
I wasn't taught it after second or third grade and only started in first or second grade.
i'm 18 and in PA where I live (Clinton County) it's not taught in any public school.
Huh. In Colorado Springs (CO) it was taught up until the last ~5 years or so when schools stopped.
When I moved to Colorado, most schools either required it to pass 2nd or 3rd grade and then typing in 3rd or 4th grade.
yup. And it's crazy finding interesting combinations of letters using the tiny Hawaiian alphabet. :P
Divergia and Belantica
Where i live in pa. Its the same but i learned it because i went to a catholic school. Cursive is the way to go honestly
How many will go under due to global warming?
quite a few. :P
But many of them also have active volcanoes building them up, so you never know. :D
Or lauwiliwilinukunukuʻoiʻoi
(just remember, w makes a v sound in Hawaiian!) :P
Then once I can convince the government to give me money for a plane ticket, I'll fly to Newellia and shatter the fourth wall by telling my nation's citizens that they are a fictional online nation created by me.
ya, I have a bunch of islands that have repeated names as well:
Wallu Wallu
Awei Awei
Dadaki
Te'te
Olo olo
Tapenapena
Leilei
Is breaking the fourth wall allowed in RP?
what Zhaas said..
treat an RP like a book or movie.
Fourth wall breaking is generally only allowed for light-hearted RPs or comedic RPs
a normal news post.
Like if a philiosopher at University comes up with a theory that the world might be a simulation on the internet.
