I doubt Scotland will ever go independent, as much as I hate to say with my proud Scottish heritage. I doubt that it would have a strong enough economy to survive on its own but one can always dream. So many have fought and died for the dream of a free Scotland.

Ah, but you Brits have all the best foods! Percy Pigs, IRN BRU, Jammy Dodgers!

What a list of foods, I can tell you know your British delicacies! Now let's see how you deal with the most decisive culinary debate for a Brit. Should it be jam then cream, or cream then jam on a scone?

Applying my knowledge of morning toast, jam then cream, to avoid a creamy jam knife and to make putting on the jam far easier. You can just dollop the cream on top.

Unfortunately Argentina doesn't get many foreign goodies not from the US, Brazil or Germany (huh?), so my question is: to Marmite or not to Marmite?

Well personally I always go for jam then cream. But I'm not British anyway, doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good scone though!

Definitely go with the Marmite! It's far better than that Australian knock-off Vegemite.

Do you think Turkey will go to war with Russia? I mean they did shoot down a Russian fighter and murder their Ambassador.

Holy sh*t, Bastionian just crashed :s

You guys might be pleased to know that you both picked the traditional Cornish way of eating your scone. I; however, despite my Cornish ancestors am a traitor as having lived in Devon for a good chunk of my life I eat scones the Devon way (cream and then jam). Always a fun debate for anyone from the South West in the UK.

Our Australasian residents may soon be having words with you my friend!

I can't stomach either, so I'm staying neutral :P

B-but, you either have to dip the creamy knife in the jam or use two knives. It's a lose lose situation!

Ok lads listen - I rarely eat scones, and I don't even like jam - but I see only one sane way to do this. This "devon way" is simply idiotic. It makes sense to spread jam onto the scone, a solid surface, then to put cream on top since cream doesn't require such a hard spread. Putting the cream on first will result in either poorly spread jam or a destroyed cream layer, in other words, a failed scone. It doesn't make any sense. Stupid idea. Do it properly.

Oh don't worry! The Marmite vs. Vegemite argument has been going on between Australians and New Zealanders for decades now. We like to try and one up each other on a regular basis. It's just how we show affection these days.

And just so you know, I'm a New Zealander! lol

Jesus, we've been losing quite a few major players in the region. I hope this doesn't get too bad.

Well maybe if people actually bothered to post in the NLN there would be a reason to stick around. It is getting so boringly quiet around here...

Nope. What happened in Berkeley? The media always makes a complete mess of handling things.

NEWS - Theresa May has called for a general election in the UK on 8th June

She's going to be playing it as the brexit election basically. She thinks she'll win by a larger margin than the conservatives did in 2015 so then she will have less opposition during the Brexit stuff, but there could be a coalition or something of Labour, Lib Dem, SNP etc. who oppose Brexit. Though Labour really isn't in a position to win at the moment...

Interesting.

There was a free speech demonstration. Then Antifa/anti-Trump protesters turned up and attacked them, throwing stuff, burning stuff, y'know, the usual. There's footage of free speech advocates being pulled from the crowd, then pummeled with punches and kicks, beaten with sticks and stomped on. There's footage of a free speech advocate getting his head cracked by being hit with a lock attached to a chain.

Guess what the media's (and several Hollywood celebrities') take on this is? Neo-Nazis and white supremacists attack innocent people.

One piece of footage went viral. One story hit all the headlines. Several calling it THE MOST SCHOCKING THING THAT HAPPENED that day.

Was it the free speech advocate getting his skull cracked open with a lock and chain? Was it the pro-Trump protesters lying on the ground, curled up, while being jumped on by ten people at once? Was is the burning containers, the flying bricks or the people being hit in the head with sticks?

Nope.

The headlines say: WHITE SUPREMACIST SUCKERPUNCHES WOMAN

One woman was punched... once... on the forehead... that was apparently the most horrific thing that happened.

Oh, did I forget to mention that the woman:
- is part of Antifa, clad in the typical Antifa uniform
- had posted on her facebook that she was going to the protest to ''bring back 100 scalps''
- condoned the violence and the throwing of fireworks against the free speech advocates in an interview prior to the incident
- was wielding an empty wine bottle in one hand and a sap glove in the other
- now has a GoFundMe page with a goal of 80k to help her deal with this horrific experience

One news outlet chose to interview her as well, basically giving her an outlet to spew even more lies.

Rant over

France will hold a first round of national voting to elect a president on April 23.

This election is very important as it will determine the future of the EU, if France leaves, this EU is over, maybe it is not that bad, if another "better"(more Federal) is put in place, terrible if it isnīt, as we might soon be back to a weak Europe of rivalries, full of poverty, misery, militarism, destruction and death.

Le Pen has has interesting points like the criticism of Islam (It is a f***** u* religion,I read the Quran, it is a fact) and If elected, she has promised to hold a referendum on a French exit from the European Union, and at present, such a referendum, giving the national medias bashing on the EU for a lot of national problems, has good possibilities to win in France.

I hope Macron wins the 2nd round on April 7, he has interesting points, the most interesting is, destributing the revenue of automation for the public, such is a revolutionary measure, post capitalist perhaps, it is bolder than anything Hollande did, but I also look at this figure with some grains of salt, it seems, he is the sort of a political animal, wishing to make a cocktail of issues able to please both left and right, having critics asking him, for what he really stands for, and maybe he stands only for himself.
