Literally 99% of pro/anti-gun arguments start off with their own definition of one or more of those words, and pretend like it's a given.

The ability to be so loose and emotional with arguments makes it very hard to do anything but dig in and refuse to give any ground. And prevents any productive discussion that can find true solutions. It's frustrating to try and counter 'common sense' proposals. I fear that where the discussion is now there's only an election standing in the way of massive change being steamrolled through. It's a shame.

I hear Integral Fast Reactors are pretty good

Yang has a pizzazz that the others can't match. That's just the facts

Just because it's popular, doesn't mean it's good

Could the pope bless the entirety of the Atlantic? Does it need to be freshwater? If so, could the pope just annually bless, say, the Rhine, and have a constant, massive supply of slowly diluting holy water? Would it help exorcise the entirety of the population on the river?

How clean does it need to be? Could he bless the ganges and just see what happens?

I'm 80% sure that means she is NOT.

Bringing the troops home is a complicated issue. On one hand if you being there hasn't accomplished much then it doesn't make much sense to stay. But on the other hand it doesn't seem right to pull out, troops having died "in vain".

This is, ultimately, a decision that has to be weighed at every level. Even so much as a section attacking a trench - how many lives will you sacrifice to avenge those who fell before? The decision, almost always, is "none". The dead are the dead. Nothing you do from then on can un-kill them. They died trying to accomplish something, but there's no point in throwing good lives after the lost.

I had to go to the ER 3 times in the past week because nobody could figure out why it was happening, they gave me every laxative on the market and none of them worked. They got me an appointment with the GI doctors in December.

Yeah, I guess that's true. But I do think if a withdrawal is to occur that it isn't in the form of cutting and running. Putting so much time and resources to leave worse off than when you began is quite the waste.

Congrats on the AK-47 making a comeback in the news.

So I finally watched the Dave Chappelle's Sticks and Stones show.

It was just about gold. While some of the jokes were off-color, or didn't quite land right, they were so definitively and superfluously offensive that it was actually majestic. He jumps topics often enough, however, to not dwell and rag on a specific targets for the jokes, with plenty of material (fresh and recycled) in all areas. 7/10, would suggest watching.

Comedy should never be corralled.

It going to be very hard to look past the glaring issue of gun control this coming election season. Which is a shame, because other than that the candidates have some very strong policies.

My favorite line of his act was the "Every able-bodies african american, has the moral obligation to go out and register to purchase a gun". Which is 100% accurate, and I'm not sure he realizes he just spoke the damn truth.
