We did indeed - apologies as something that I hadn't seen.

I'll be formenting a rebellion. Not because I dislike Scion, but because its an excuse to use up a few of these molotov cocktails. I kinda made a bunch in anticipation of the presidential election, but everybody was absurdly partisan about it. Kept saying they'd only join up if their candidate didn't win. Crazy, right? What ever happened to revolution for revolution's sake?

Where is our current regional constitution posted? And how do elections work?

Most votes win ofc.

Thanks for the congratulations, folks! But I agree. As soon as we sort out this speaker thing (even if we appoint an acting speaker just to get the ball rolling), we should schedule an election.

The link in the World Factbook Entry that reads "IDU Regional Charter" will bring you to a copy of our new constitution.

Everyone know we actually were having an election? Only it was on the forum and only three people voted...and one candidate was running simply so the other didn't run unopposed...and we should just do this over...

If anyone's interested, I started a thread on the regional forum, under IDU Newswire, about news from Laeral, specifically the December 2016 elections.

Nice one.

I've put my preference down (as Nova Sodor) - will the poll results affect the election result? On the link you attached it reads as though the December 2016 elections are already a done deal?

The 2nd IDU Cheese Festival will open its doors for entries on 11th February 2017.
It is being held in Urrath-am-Barrah, the largest city (and former capital city) of Bears Armed.

Somewhat. I've outlined which parties will have the most seats in the national Assembly of Commons, but the local elections, gubernatorial elections, and the referendums I'm undecided on.

Awesome.

Apologies in advance if the answer to this question lies in the information you linked but will the results of the local and gubernatorial elections and referendums affect your decisions on future issues?

Yes. This is only the Assembly of Commons election, though- there's a tricameral legislature, so even a massive shift in one house won't affect the entire country too much. The local and gubernatorial elections will have little to no impact, but if an issue comes up about the sugary drinks tax, I'll follow how the referendum goes. The other referendum, on ties with my puppet, High Fells, will only be for roleplaying. Overall, though, my decision on future issues will be somewhat affected by the Assembly of Commons election tonight.
