Hi All, I'd like to get into rp but haven't done it online. Was reading the rules and I have to admit this looks a bit funky to me. Who decides what is 'unwanted'? Criminal I get but unwanted is a pretty vague term. Reminds me of that bit in the FAQ where Max Barry says Nationstates is his own Father Knows Best State.

I'm in a bad mood. A teacher that pops your cherry isnt "sour grapes", it is disgusting. And my mood darkens, because 'sour grapes' means nothing in your context. It is an expression of cognitive dissonance; a manner of rationalizing your way out of a situation through least (cognitive) resistance, yet plausible enough for yourself -- and others! -- to believe in. The fox could not reach the grapes, which he clearly wanted, otherwise he wouldn't put in the effort. He excuses or rather rationalizes his inability by saying they were sour anyway, while having no possible way of knowing, since he couldn't reach them to have a taste. Since it's plausible enough to the casual listener and himself, he went with it. Hence: "sour grapes".
