You should come onto the Discord when you can. It'll increase your shelf-life and keep you more active here.

Lamoni even baked cookies.

Not to mention the world famous "Potthani Palmyrion Pie" where we take a batch of Palmy boys and grind them up into a pie.

355 Palmies ÷113 Potthanies = 355/113

Good recipe.

Smell like victory?

Palmyrian Potthani Soylent Green Tarts and Fermented Blood Wine is much better: the flesh of Potthanis turned into mango-flavored Soylent Green and packed in tarts, and the blood fermented to wine.

Who's edgier now lol

It it pronounces "How-Dow" or "Hoo-Doo"?

It could be "How-Doo" or "Hoo-Dow" as well.

"Ho(ld)-Doh" would be the closest to what I have in mind for its pronounciation.

Aww. Matahi is not my puppet and it will never be. I will obliterate that nation and the land where Matahi is really from me. 😂😂😂

Anyway. Thanks and it looks nice! =)

I'm finally in the map <3. SEKAAAAAI ICHHHIII

Hello boi 😃

How goes our piracy RP?

I'll guess that Mokastana has accused you, Martilia, of being the puppet master of myself, Matahi. After all, it is well established that you came up with my name. And unlike Wanderjar, who has taken the other nation (Lakanda) that you are to obliterate in your map-expansion RP, I never did post with my main on your OOC sign-up thread. I just took Matahi for myself.

Truth is, you got unlucky. I was glancing over at GD's RMB just hours after your announcement of your RP sign-up thread, which I spotted and checked out.

I'm a new player to GD, though I had considered moving my main here a couple of years ago. I've kept my eye on this region from time to time, usually whenever I'm unhappy with the state of affairs in my home region and thinking of jumping ship. But it is a darn steep learning curve to catch up on GD canon, a major rewrite of my factbook would be required, and I'm wary that well-established GD players may bristle at the "lore" I would bring with my main. I'm also not confident that my own RP skills are up to the task. Storytelling can be exhausting, and I'm not sure I can keep pace. I'm risk adverse.

So I read your thread and jumped in impolitely and signed on as Matahi. You could have used the names of disgraced nations, or sizeable ones long retired and unavailable for re-use. But you didn't, so here you are, stuck with a "puppet" over which you have no control.

I could help you out, I suppose, by naming my main to establish that you and I are indeed different players. But I'm not ready to burn bridges with my current home, and I still don't know if GD is the right place for me (no offense). So you'll have to find some other way to prove that I, Matahi, am not you, Martilia. Good luck with that!!

It's a win-win for me. I get to play a temporary nation to give GD a trial run. I can continue with an insurgency, or even a government-in-exile without a territory if I find the RP enjoyable. If not, I can depart at the conclusion. And if my storytelling isn't up to snuff? Well, they all seem to think I'm your puppet, so I guess they'll think your storytelling isn't up to snuff, so it won't be my problem after all. Many purrs!!

I'm just going to forge on ahead with the RP. It's too bad Wanderjar's puppet of Lakanda isn't on the map. As far as I'm concerned, Lakanda lies west of Matahi and southwest of Martilia. I'm going to trust that folks will figure out on their own that you are you and I am me, eventually.

Let me mention here, Martilia, that I would greatly appreciate it if you would correct Mahati, Mahatian, and Mahatians to Matahi, Matahian, and Matahians, respectively in your posts and dispatches. You, of all people, shouldn't be making such egregious spelling errors when it comes to my nation's name.

And I want to give many, many purrs to Mokastana for updating the map. I've done such cartography before, and I can tell you it chews up hours of personal time and often receives little more than a perfunctory "thanks." Maps put things in perspective, and folks fail to appreciate how vital they are, both to a region and roleplay.

Wow. I didn't know that an RP like this would build a bridge for a player who wish to join our region. I guess if we put more RPs like this we could use it as a recruitment hub for our region to grow larger. Hahahaha.

Anyway, thank you Matahi for reminding me regarding the mix-and-match with the names. I would be more careful in posting your name in here on the message board and also at the forums once the RP begins. I also would like to acknowledge that Matahi is correct regarding the position of Lakanda in the map which is located southwest of my territory.

With regards to what will happen to Matahi to be honest? IRDK. You see if I will invade your country and Lakanda I wouldn't be able to conquer your lands fully due to the limited additional squares that I could capture, and if that's the case both Matahi and Lakanda is here to stay on the map (either as an NPC or another player might take it over). I also accepted the fact that in roleplay terms it would take a very very long storyline to capitulate a (*ehem* barbaric *ehem*) country like Matahi. The reason is because of their (*ehem* savage *ehem*) citizens, they will do anything to defend their country from their so-called Martilian threat (even though there's really no threat at all).

All in all I agree with you. Your decision of moving to GD should be based as to how the RP will go.

NOTE: IC thread to be up within the next 24 to 48 hours with supporting IC dispatches. Sorry since real life is also eating my time.

UPDATE:

CAF Building, Kalariya - In a press briefing held at the FAC building, Foreign Affairs Commissar Althea Mendaros announced the end of diplomatic ties between Martilia with Matahi and Lakanda.

The announcement came after ethnic Martilians were forced out of their homes from Matahi and Lakanda and were ordered to go back to Martilia. Reports also surfaced that Matahian military personnel were shooting ethnic Martilians who are refusing to leave their homes. Mendaros stated that "...the actions committed by the Matahian military with the support from their government is considered a genocide. It must be stopped immediately. This is an attack not only to Martilia but also to the liberty of every citizen within this region."

She also added that, "...if we do not act now with an iron fist, then the peace and security of every citizen living on this region will be compromised. Compromised to the barbaric ideas that Matahi has been promoting". The deployment of the military and national guard in the southern states of Martilia is an obvious indicator that conflict is brewing on the horizon, but as long as ethnic Martilians continues to pour in the country the more we get closer to that conflict

A young reporter asked Mendoza what will the government do to with these ethnic Martilians she replied, "We will return them to their homes. How you asked? Well, the lands where they came from were originally part of the Martilian Empire and Martilia before the [Haluziki] revolution. If the current government who 'illegally' claimed our lands cannot provide the basic necessities and freedom to these ethnic Martilians, then I guess it's time for these lands to be returned to their real owners which could provide the basic needs for these people that the current owners have displaced."

GD cannon isn't that hard to follow, it just stats ten ish years ago with a War of Golden Succession where The Macabees conquered a bunch of stuff, and Stevid once invaded AHSCA, and there was a recent Great Diestani War between Stevid and Imbrinium and a bunch of others, it almost split the allies of Lyras, split backing either Imbrinium or Lamoni full on "Captain America: Civil War" style, but we all remained friends despite Morrdh getting nuked. Castille de Italia was once an ally of United world orderor but after a few wars joined the "Freedom(tm)" coalition.... the last few years have been a blood feud in the center (RSU) between myself (Mokastana) and United world order.

Holy Marsh has their own Union they'll probably invite you to, as long as your fine with dudes that look like anime girls and their weird religion... ok maybe our lore a little complicated, but people are willing to share their histories with you, and new people bring new stories. Anything west of Holy Marsh is recently added, so canon is up for creation.

Dare I ask what you're main is like?

AHSCA and Matahi

Deamonopolis of course hahahaha lkgosrgmeroherhedrh blargh
