I'm trying to find a list of all the MEPs who voted for this, mostly to see if any Danish MEPs voted in favour but also to see which country send these clowns

Yeah but this is about fossil fuels.

I also said Germany because of how reluctant Germany was to give up on the Russian pipeline despite everything XD

Atom power followed the natural gasses in the redefinition of renewable energy so it makes sense France supports it

Nah we're not crazy for fossils (at least the government; CDU/CSU and AfD MPEs might be of another opinion).

That they might be the only solution at the moment is another debate, and the reasons for this are decades of mismanagement:|

278 for blocking the new taxonomy, 328 against, 33 abstentions.

Nuclear energy is far from perfect, but its still better than getting oil from the Saudis or Russians tbh

*me finding out the RMB search function exists and finding all my cringey posts from way back when I joined*

Yes but it peaked in the 1990s and costs too much, so it's not a sustainable solution for many countries

yeah, we have to transition to renewable options but until then, we should still use it
Rather having someone like France, with a majority of its energy produced in Atomkraftwerke than Germany, who still uses Braunkohle

☝️ pls take the transition part out of context

the other one was Miharr returning to Europe

Nuclear, if done right, serves well as a transition between fossil fuels and renewables. Nuclear is expensive to install, but the amount of energy it produces can definitely outweigh the costs

Yeah but it takes roughly a decade to build the plants, our climates ambitions are in the 2030s and 40s

We won't die from rising temperatures but we'll have radioactive waste lying around for a million years 🤷🏻

Honestly the fact that Germany is so reliant on fossil fuels is embarrassing
More so than even the BER disaster imo

Laver Island wrote:Yeah but it takes roughly a decade to build the plants, our climates ambitions are in the 2030s and 40s

I believe there's a technology called SMRs that are cheaper and quicker to make than full reactors
