Tarime Sector
It was now morning on the frontlines. As the sun rose high in the background, it revealed the extent to which the Ocearan forces had been decimated. The attack had been a massive success, with the Ocearan High Command losing contact with their forces in the Tarime Sector, and all 4 lines were infected (though, the Orsonians did not know that 11 cities had been infected). However, the lines still contained numerous robotic troops that left the lines manned and defended (though they weren't being coordinated). The Orsonians, however, had a plan to deal with them.
General Irvana Shereen, leader of all Imperial forces along this area of the front, would give the order to march on the Tarime Lines, and Imperial troops immediately began to execute her order. Immediately, all Orsonian artillery along this front began to fire tens of thousands of high-explosive shells, shrapnel shells, and incendiary shells into the Ocearan trenchlines and foxholes, and they also targeted enemy artillery and point-defense systems. Dozens of fighter jets and bombers once again took off from runways behind the front lines, dropping hundreds of tons of bunker buster bombs on the Ocearan lines, which would penetrate deep into the ground and explode in Ocearan bunkers and tunnels.
Hundreds of drones also took off, flying at low-altitude and at high speed over no-man's land and zig-zagging through the air to make them hard targets. They were armed with missiles, machine guns, and laser weaponry, but most importantly, they were armed with a relatively new weapon known as an arc caster. The arc caster fired powerful bolts of electricity that could overload and destroy the electrical systems of weaponry or robots, and it had been created specifically to counter the use of robots in battle. The drones would enter the Ocearan lines, flying very quickly and targeting dozens of robots at once in their attacks, and also targeting Ocearan artillery with their various weaponry to help disable it.
As the Ocearan artillery was being disabled, the gates on the Orsonian defensive walls would open, and the various underground tunnels underneath no man's land opened. 8,000 Imperial Commandos, backed up by armor, artillery (to protect them in the form of a creeping barrage), mechanical walkers, and 5,000 war robots prepared to move across no man's land. They waited for the order from their superiors...
All Along the Kenya-Tanzania Border
Along the rest of the border, Imperial soldiers stationed in their defenses would repeat the initial bioweapon attacks conducted in the Tarime Sector. Orsonian artillery and airplanes would attack the Ocearan lines, deploying canisters of the Tasmanian Agent under the cover of the artillery and strategic bombing attacks, and after hours of attacks, the planes would retreat and the guns would silence. The confusion and panic in Ocearan High Command was fully taken advantage of by the Orsonians.
The Tasmanian Agent was released all along the entire border, becoming airborne and moving deeper into Tanzania. The nearby cities of Loliondo, Longido, Moshi, and Mtandikeni, along others, would soon find themselves threatened as the agent spread rapidly...

The Ocearan Government would announce it's plans to employ nuclear weapons to prevent total loss of control of an infection in the Mara Region of Tanzania; stating that based upon lack of communications in the region that the region's 2.5 Million inhabitants have been mostly overcome by the infection. (Oceara's Population density is for the most part really high with the vastly space-efficient designs of cities being used by Oceara and Oceara's insistence on refitting large cities to match these more efficient designs [for the most part, historical areas are left alone for the most part])

The Ocearan Government has further demanded that the Orson Empire accept a cease fire within 72 hours so that negotiations can begin to de-escalate the situation, stating that if trends continue the odds of global thermonuclear war breaking out will reach near-certainty by the end of the week and that extreme changes in the way the war is being executed must be enacted swiftly to avoid global catastrophe.

The All Terrain Siege Platform, abbreviated as "AT-SP", is a six-legged walker design created by Kuat Drive Yards for holding an objective - whether that be a beach, town, city, bridge, etc. - for as long as feasibly possible, as the most important element in the AT-SP is defense. Standing at a height of 50 meters, the All Terrain Siege Platform is five meters taller than the older, yet similarly designed, All Terrain Heavy Defense Transport, abbreviated as "AT-HDT", from the FPR, which served as the inspiration for the design. What sets the AT-SP apart from the Republic's AT-HDT is the fact of the matter that the AT-SP relies on heavy shielding generators for defense rather than heavy armor, as well as the fact that the AT-SP utilizes more weaponry in its design. The heavy shielding generator of the walker is capable of sustaining protection even in the event of a tactical nuclear strike, showing the ability to sustain operations at up to the 2 MT range, which is far and above what most walker and mech designs are capable of withstanding. For defensive purposes, each AT-SP is armed with four (4) Light Turbolasers, four (4) Heavy Gatling Lasers, twelve (12) Heavy Lasers, and sixteen (16) Antipersonnel/Point Defense Lasers, all of which are located on various locations on the walker.

In most cases of war or conflicts involving the use of these walkers, they are mostly used as part of an initial planetary assault unit. If a shielded location is targeted for attack by the military, AT-SPs would arrive via Drop Barges outside of the defensive bubble of the shield. From there, once on the ground, they would attempt to move forward through the shields and establish a beachhead of sorts, generating their own shields and eliminating any adversarial armor, artillery, and defensive emplacements. Following this, they would activate their theater shields and deploy their infantry complement, which usually ranges between the sizes of a company and a battalion. The shields would be capable of providing protection for any vehicles with an appropriate FMON designation operating in its vicinity and the shield barrier, and the defensive weapons are more than capable of being effective against most armor and light naval craft in atmospheric operations, up to a light corvette should the need arise.

The All Terrain Shock Enforcer, abbreviated as "AT-SE", is a Walker design created by Kuat Drive Yards for providing direct fire support for assaulting forces. The average size of the is approximately 30 meters in height, however some walkers have been scaled down to 18 meters for various operations, and the top speed of the walker is approximately 75 km/h. For defensive purposes, each AT-SE is armed with two (2) Heavy Laser Cannons mounted on the chin of the walker in order to increase its anti-armor offensive power, two (2) Dual Rapid-Fire Laser Cannons mounted on the flanks of the forward command structure that work as anti-light vehicle/anti-aircraft weapons, two (2) Dual Linked Repeating Blaster Cannons that make up the main anti-infantry weapons, and two (2) Grenade Launchers that fire Plasma Grenades in order to support the walker's anti-infantry capability. While the AT-SE carries no troops like other large walkers, its internal capacity is loaded with Railgun rounds for its main gun, a Heavy Particle Beam Railgun, which sits atop the body of the walker. These rounds use an auto-loading system to ferry them from the armored magazine up into the turret, where they loaded into the Railgun. The Durasteel Armor of the walker is approximately 65mm thick, which is considered relatively small compared to other walkers of around its size, and are often transported by Heavy Dropships when needing to travel extremely large distances.

We will happily join in on the biological weapons party! Deploy The Red Death on the front lines, wait for both sides to collapse, then force them to sign a peace treaty before we cure them.

I'm not even sure we have nuclear weapons. By treaty we're protected by those who do, so I'm inclined to say we don't need them. Plus there would likely be a political backlash. You could compare us to Japan -- technologically able to create nuclear weapons in a time of crisis, but not nuclear-capable at the moment.

Plus, you have those orbital weapons I designed for you.

Speaking of have you ever had nukes or used them before?

Nope; never in our history (though some of our scientists did help the Allies develop the bomb during WW2)

While Orsonian soldiers began to advance all along the 1st Ocearan defensive line on the Kenya-Tanzania border, Imperial High Command had been thrown into chaos at the announcement that the Ocearans planned to use nuclear weaponry. Turner and High Command had already been very wary of deploying the Tasmanian Agent, fearing that it could cause a world-wide pandemic, or that it could trigger a response like this from the Ocearans. In just hours, the virus had already spread deep into Tanzania, with the Ocearans losing complete contact with the Mara Region. Even if the Ocearans nuked their own cities to stop the infection, they would be dealing with the virus for years to come. The virus could still infect all mammals, not just humans; one rabid dog coming into contact with a human could start the pandemic all over again.

Turner has made a public announcement, stating that he will accept a temporary cease-fire with the Ocearans. Turner has suggested that negotiations be held in Santa Catalina (if the Wagains approve), and he himself will go to the talks to represent Orson.

Turner has also suggested a cease-fire to the Andrewians, and that they come to the talks to negotiate the end of their use of the Orsonian Eradicator chemical weapon in the war.

The Government has made it a priority to carry through with the offer to hold peace talks, and while we continue to support Oceara diplomatically and behind the lines, we have reiterated our commitment to the humanitarian status of both factions, including the millions of civilians caught in the crossfire.

The Prime Minister appeared alongside the Mayor of Santa Catalina in a recent press conference, publicly supporting Turner's proposal and offering the use of the Imperial Palace for the negotiations (should the Ocearans accept). Security is already being mustered, with police on heightened alert and Territorial Guard units being brought in from several neighboring provinces.

The Superintendent Forerunner has formally announced, that with help from a race of aliens known as the 'Reperis', an intelligent race of telekinetic beings. They have accomplished travel through time, the Superintendent Forerunner has promised the nations of Earth that they will not use the accomplishment to alter the time that Sterkians revealed themselves to the Earth colonies.
However, one of the Forerunner Generals was recorded at a celebration later that evening saying; "Since when did promises mean anything."

That's a rather Torchwood-ish attitude to have.

The Emperor will attend, with a grand auxiliary both as a bodyguard and to help him with the talking since he isn't exactly known for attending international negotiations.

The Emperor has further pressed Socialist Republic of Andrew to take part in the cease fire and de-escalation negotiations.

We rule universes. Torchwood behaves in a similar manner sometimes.

Dr. Koenig was entering the Panopticon, behind an Agent by the name of Graves, when he noticed something odd. The Agent was incredibly hot. The heat coming off of him was literally felt a few feet away. Koenig raised an eyebrow, intrigued. He didn't have his trenchcoat on, so he couldn't have the internal heating mechanism on. Koenig went away to his office, only for the Agent to follow him. "Can I help you?" "Yes sir. I'm new here, just transferred from a Prowler. Could you point me to the cafeteria? Haven't had breakfast, I'm absolutely famished." Koenig pointed out the cafeteria on a map, and sent Graves on his way. He then pulled up his personnel file. Agent Tyler Graves, age 32, Evolved, most recently deployed to the colony world of Juliet, aboard the Orwell Class Prowler designated the Umbra. Nothing that would explain the unusual heat generated by the Agent. He could be using a heat-producing gene tonic, but something still seemed odd. He heard an odd noise, a muffled curse, then a gunshot from down the hall. Shortly afterward, an alarm sounded, the building locked down, and Koenig's guards took their places. An announcement came over the PA. "Attention all personnel. I was just assaulted by an intelligent Drakul masquerading as an Agent. There may be more. AI have started scanning for them. Be vigilant." Koenig rushed down the hall to Director John Forge's office. He saw a corpse on the floor, a .45 round in the head of the Drakul. "I'm fine Nathan. Are there other accounts of intelligent Drakul, other than the Eichhorsts?" "Ancients, but otherwise no. And an Ancient would have used the Murmur to stun you first. So this is a new development." "Find out why, and how we can stop it. You always complain about not having enough lab specimens. Here's a corpse. I'll have some droids bring it to you." Koenig could still feel the unnatural heat from the corpse. He was struck with a revelation. Heat.... He sprinted down the halls to the cafeteria, looking for Graves. He then stormed into the kitchens, and saw several bodies on the floor. Drained. Graves stood over a vat that fed water in the beverage fabricators, and was pouring something in. He sensed Koenig's presence. Koenig barely avoided the lunge with the stinger. He tried to pull out his Hardlight pistol but it was knocked away, with a well-placed hit from the stinger, making him frantically drop it and back away to avoid infection. The Drakul tackled him. He hit the floor with a thud. Koenig frantically pressed against the lower jaw with both hands, trying to prevent the mouth from opening and the stinger from emerging. Just as the mouth was opening, a hand grabbed the Drakul by the top of the head and squeezed. In a moment, the head caved in and was crushed. Koenig looked up to see Forge in his old Marines power armor. "Thank you, Director." "Can't afford to loose you. The AI have located two more." They set off to deal with them.
