The US does have a load of people in its military but this is based largely off the fact that Americans love guns, America's economy is highly dependent upon messing with international politics (no judgement, just an observation), and their huge military-industrial complex, including 39% of the global expenditure on arms. Basically the US is geared towards being heavily armed and its economy arguably needs a big, industrialised army, as well as its position in global affairs.
North Korea has something mental like 4-5% of its entire population in its military, but that doesn't exactly mean their armed forces are a thing to be reckoned with.

Also I don't recall failing to spell "military" properly or using 1 instead of !. I get the joke you were trying to make, and it was indeed most hilarious that you made my position out to be far simpler and cruder than it was, but pls refrain in futur

Underestimating Russia's capabilities is a really bad idea, especially when your concept of their military is horribly flawed.
