The Empire of Petyr is a titanic, efficient nation, ruled by Lord Baelish with an iron fist, and renowned for its frequent executions, public floggings, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, devout population of 22.744 billion Petyris are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The tiny, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Spirituality, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Petyr City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6.0%.

The thriving Petyri economy, worth a remarkable 1,775 trillion coins a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Arms Manufacturing, and Retail. Average income is 78,084 coins, with the richest citizens earning 6.7 times as much as the poorest.

For just a few extra coins Petyris can get new driving records with their new cars, curtailed social programs have left many citizens bereft of any safety net, a punitive tax has been placed on harmful emissions, and the government advises foreign diplomats to speak softly and carry a big bag of cash. Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Petyr's national animal is the mockingbird, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to toxic air pollution, and its national religion is Faith of the Seven.

Petyr is ranked 308,816^th in the world and 12,722^nd in Lazarus for Smartest Citizens, with 0.93 quips per hour.
