In a shocking and violent turn of events, the President of Noundures, Malaquies Llorca Caparrós, was assassinated early this morning by a car bomb in Olèrdola. The explosion occurred as Llorca Caparrós was traveling to a meeting with top government officials. Eyewitnesses reported a loud explosion followed by chaos and confusion as emergency responders rushed to the scene.

Llorca Caparrós was known for his leadership of Noundures, a breakaway state in rebellion against Salisford along the Salvadorn border. Under his leadership, the country had continued to fight against the Salisfordian government and sought recognition from the international community.

The assassination of Llorca Caparrós has sent shockwaves throughout the region, and many are speculating that the attack was carried out by agents of Salisford. Tensions have been high between the two countries in recent months, with both sides accusing the other of violating ceasefires and launching military strikes and raids across the de facto border.

Noundures has condemned the attack and promised to launch a full investigation into the incident. Officials have vowed to bring those responsible to justice and to continue their fight for independence.

As the investigation into the bombing continues, many are mourning the loss of Llorca Caparrós, a charismatic and passionate leader who had dedicated his life to the cause of independence. His death is a significant blow to the people of Noundures, who saw him as a symbol of hope and resilience in the face of adversity as well as a symbol against Salisfordian occupation

Upon receiving news of the assassination, Noundurian Minister of Defense Amèric Romeu Perarnau i Agué declared a state of emergency and announced his succession to the presidency of Noundures. He placed the Free Noundurian Army (ELN) on a state of high alert in case of a Salisfordian offensive along the frontlines.

Llorca Caparrós was a Noundurian hero who sought to defend the destiny of the Noundurian people. His death will be avenged and those responsible will be brought to justice. I have already instructed the Anti-Terrorist Unit to launch an immediate investigation into this crime, and those responsible will be sentenced to death. This setback will not end our destiny; Noundures will prevail and out People will attain complete and total freedom.
