The five planes carrying the soldiers land in close succession at Tigera Airbase. After slowing to a stop, the Terranilian and Lyoan forces rush out of the plane. The DOSTÉV operatives are carrying LA-22s (imported from Willdavie) and Tz 805 assault rifles. Many of the RLD soldiers are carrying Terraniilian weapons. They number more than 1,000.

A Lyoan military garrison stationed at the airport approaches the rebel forces, but they are drastically outnumbered.

Major Sral hands a megaphone to one of the RLD leaders. He begins shouting in Lyoan at the military garrison. "Surrender now! You are outnumbered!" The Terranilian and RLD forces are poised for attack.
