A Discussion of Expansion

Expansion 3/5

Night passed over Frisolania, and silence crept into the small cities palace, where three nobles conversed, one of Frisolani descent, another of Kivorodian, and the last was a dwarf from Blacklight. The two humans were dressed as a noble would be, fur around their neck, and clothes that divided them from the normal peasants. The dwarven man however wore his armour, which covered him from neck to toe

“We’re reaching for the southern seas.” The Frisolani King, Argamen stroked his bushy dirt-brown beard. “Why would Throkkrin want us to do that?”

“My question indeed.” The pale Kivorodi King, Alexei pitched in, though he may question the emperor’s motives, he still had a great loyalty and belief in Throkkrin, even from a nation away. “The land is fertile and ripe for the Frisolans, Alati and Kivorodians.”

“We don’t need to wonder about sh*t, the emperor wants it done.” There is a short pause between his words. “It gets done.” Tergrin stated, standing from his seat around a round wooden table, a map of the northwestern lands of Sokos and the eastern coast of Tylos displayed on it. “Most things he wants done from the kings and jarls that look after his lands, are only to the benefit to the Empire’s position.” He then shrugs. “He also pays me in gold, so that’s an incentive.”

“When are we making this move south then, I’m sure everyone living there would be delighted seeing the Blacklight Empire’s banners as we march on their homes.” Argamen says, smirking and staring at Tergrin.

“I suggest we march as soon as the Alati in Vaelantali wake up.” The Kivorodian King told the other two. “We’d have more than enough men to take the south without a fight.”

“Are you sure about that?” The dwarf takes a pause. “They seem, like halfwits.”

“That we can agree on.” Argamen gives a quick chuckle before being swiftly kicked under the table by Alexei.

“I don’t think calling the peoples you grew up with: ‘halfwits’ is a very good idea.” Alexei stated, narrowing his eyes towards the Frisolani.

“What, their King isn’t here is he?”

The dwarf shook his head slightly, his eyes lazily half-shut. “If he heard that, he’d be kicking your ass across the room without a second thought.”

“I swear I heard one of my women tell me that he is unnaturally tall.” Argamen tells them before also remembering another detail. “And that he strangled his father to death when he was twelve.”

“Some whore’s tales, just to keep you thinking that they get payed to make you feel great.”

“No question about that.” The dwarf added in, nodding slowly his eyebrows raised. “Let us get back to the original topic rather than speaking about the giant that is Azarion.”

“He is a hard son of a b*tch,” Argamen nods to himself slowly his eyebrows raised, immediately kicked under the table again. He clenched his teeth, looking wide eyed towards Alexei, letting out a quick sigh then cocked his head towards the table. “Well then…”
