"Way back in February 2013, the Natan Region had a government just as it does now (it's worth noting that the Natan Region has existed since July 2012). At the time, there was a prominent politician in the region named The Kingdom of Shemiki, who now resides in The Natanless Region. At the time, Shemiki was a somewhat experienced veteran of the raider/defender gameplay mechanics of NationStates, having served in the Ten thousand Islands Treaty Organization (TITO) for some time. He proposed that a military wing of the Natan Region be established, both to protect the region from raiders and help defend allied regions against raiders. This eventually evolved into the Natan Region Defense Force (NRDF), of which Shemiki was in charge. In July 2013, there was a constitutional crisis in the Natan Region. Many members of the government, including Shemiki, were ejected and banned from the region by The Federal Republic of United States of Natan. It is worth noting that Natan and Shemiki did not get on well, to the point where Shemiki and other members of the region who were ejected such as The Highly Apathetic Kiwis of Ordealius, The United Provinces of Skartok, and The Benevolent Democracy of Replica Union went on to form the aforementioned Natanless Region in December 2013. They would occasionally be joined by The Socialist Republic of Slarvainian, another nation with whom Natan had strained ties. The constitutional crisis of July 2013 resulted in the transfer of control of the NRDF from Shemiki to Natan. Shemiki would demand the region's return to him, to no avail. After two years, Natan began to form another government for his region, which was formed by the November 2015 elections. Prior to this, diplomatic relations had been established between the Natan and Natanless Regions; attempts to make the NRDF a joint effort between the two regions culminated in the NRDF Charter, in which Shemiki was declared the leader of the Natanless Region's NRDF and an administrator position was created in order to be the founder of the Natan Region's NRDF. Shemiki had lobbied for this during the drafting of the Charter, as he needed an avenue to regain control of the NRDF. Even after two years, he was still determined to not let Natan get away with his theft. He and several of his friends planted puppet nations within the Natan Region, several of whom were elected to public office in November. In particular, Shemiki and his friends positioned their puppets within the government so that one of them would be named the Secretary of Defense and the NRDF administrator. After a brief delay when The Utopian Freesocialists seized control of the region, Shemiki's puppet was able to set a refound date with Natan. At around 1:30 PM EST on May 15, 2016, Natan unknowingly, willingly, and ironically passed control of the NRDF to the nation he had stolen it from almost three years ago.
I have no intention of giving the NRDF back. Natan stole it from me, and now it has been returned to its rightful owner. I recognize that I will probably not be able to participate in regional politics (or indeed the region itself) anymore, as my actions will probably be viewed as treason. I just hope the citizens of the Natan Region understand that this is solely a personal conflict between Natan and myself, and I hold no ill will toward any of them. Indeed, I am proud of them, as they have created the teeming and active democracy the previous regional government I participated in was unable to create.
I also have no intention of revealing my remaining puppets, or the puppets of my friends, or who my friends are. I am grateful for their assistance in what was purely a personal matter, and I would not betray them so. Just know that there are still multiple puppets within the region, some of whom hold public office."
