My school had a Halloween dance after school, and a costume was required, but I didn't have one, so I just took my school football uniform and wore a different jersey than normal. Many of the other people who played sports ended up doing this too in order to get into the dance.

My school had a Halloween contest. There were different categories, like historical figures, celebrities, cartoon characters, etc.
Me and four friends went into the "historical figures" category and dressed up as five US presidents (Washington, Lincoln, FDR, Obama, Trump) and spent the day quoting our person and acting like them. We almost won the prize, but came in second to six kids who were dressed as the WWI leaders.
