I would like to announce the launch of a new international organization for the Idealist States: the Equatorial Council!
The Equatorial Council is the lead supranational organization of the equatorial belt of the Idealist States. With a dedication to the ideals of international cooperation, technological advancement, and environmental conservation, the Equatorial Council works towards an agenda of mutual benefit!

I'd like to apply. I've read all the other Dispatches, is there anything else I should know about the EC? I'll also get started writing out the structure of my government, so if there's anything I should prioritize, let me know!
Alright, I'll add your nation to the members roster! The only thing I would prioritize when writing about your government would be the legislature, since each member's delegation to the Assembly consists of the members of their respective parliaments, otherwise it's completely up to you which aspects to focus on.
Also, if you would like to choose a portfolio for your seat on the Directorate and the Presidium, I'll add both.
What does this mean? I can see there are Dispatches for the Directorate and Presidium, but I can't find anything about portfolios.
A portfolio is just which area you'll oversee. The options for the Directorate are the Directorate Of Strategic Collaboration which handles strategy and the militaries, the Directorate Of Economic Collaboration that handles the economy and enterprise, and the Directorate Of Substantial Endeavours that handles everything from sea walls to wildlife preserves; while the options for the Presidium are the Institute For International Outreach that handles relations with other organizations aside from the Equatorial Council, the Institute For Technical Research that handles things such as information and communications technologies, and the Institute For Ecological Research that handles matters such as climate change studies.
After some thought, I think I'd like my seat on the Presidium to be with the Institute for International Outreach. Is my state required to be part of the Directorate?
If you would prefer to only have a seat upon the Presidium that's perfectly fine, it's not a requirement to have a seat upon the Directorate, just an option.

The idea of a combined legislature is a little strange. Surely a country could purposely increase the number of representatives per capita... so why would Meta not?
I've thought up a way to make it very low, so Meta will have little power in the Assembly—conflict is the engine of plot, after all.
I need more time to flesh out the government, but if I do go with this option, I'll have 8 MPs to
