I've watched the first two episodes of The Orville, which advertises itself as a science fiction/comedy hybrid. There have been comedic elements, to be sure, but not much beyond those in the original Star Trek. If fact, it appears mostly just to be a ST clone. Is anyone else watching it? Do you have a different reaction?
Yeah, I think the critics hate it cause they were expecting a comedy a la Galaxy Quest, and it just ended up being a normal dramedy. I'm loving the show, I think we need a lighthearted sci fi show, everything else is dark and gloomy and apocalyptic.
Btw the time slot has changed to Thursdays and episode 3 is out already, go watch it :)

I banned advertisements in an issue so my stand-in could watch Wheel of Fortune all day, but now there is a lack of funding for it which doesn't make sense because WOF is American. I don't want it to be in endless reruns! I want Vanna to be watched by everyone!
I was using Photobucket to host the banner image and some images for links. Photobucket recently started asking users to pay $399 per year for the privilege of enabling external sites to show images that are hosted by Photobucket. So I've had to host the images elsewhere (GitHub). The forum is fixed now.
Also, I see that Gabriela, Red and Netherlands recently joined. If one of these accounts is yours, message me so I can give forum access to these accounts.

I'm a filmmaker, so, I make films and shows. DMZ (The Dairy Mile Zone) is only one of my projects that I love working on. If you've never seen an episode of DMZ, the LOST EPISODE is perfect for giving you a taste. There are no spoilers for the show, there are no twists, just the basic gossip and reality-show feel of DMZ.

Hey, this is probably a dumb question, but where can I see the ruling criteria on discarding the last WA resolution? It says it was chucked for rule violations, but what did it violate? Looks like it passed by a pretty high margin, too. What a shame.

The full decision isn't up yet but will be shortly.
It was discarded because section 1 contradicted an earlier proposal
the people (gensec) who review proposal submissions apparently overlooked it earlier.
