Je rigole. S'il vous plaît ne m'excluez pas!

Highly doubt that. The Internationale originated in France, and it was used by the Soviets as their national anthem until 1944, when Alexandrov came up with a new score.

Language cannot be indicative of class status, for if that's the case, many languages can be imperialist. English would then be associated with the British Empire, Russian with Tsarism, and so forth. It's spurious.

Who needs language anyway?

It was more a joke than anything. I wouldn't have learned it if I believed it to be an enabler of class struggle.

What are your thought about Esperanto anf other experiments of world constracted languages ?

Sogdian samrkand wrote:What are your thought about Esperanto anf other experiments of world constracted languages ?

I think theoretically it's a great idea, but in reality nobody will use it. Probably it would be best to just use english as a international language.

Why do you like my language ?(Greek)

Sogdian samrkand wrote:Why do you like my language ?(Greek)

Seems unnecessarily complex and it's a very old language that for a lot of people meant culture. The biggest reason is just because for thousands of years "greek = education"

You're forgetting Dutch you heathen.

English sucks :<

Other language I like (from the top of my head) are Afrikaans (though I generally count that as Dutch), German (goes without saying), Chinese (it sounds interesting and it's fun writing the three characters I know how to write), Korean (frankly amazing spelling system) and Nahuatl (because it's forking interesting).

Also, I like the way the North Germanic languages use suffixes instead of definite articles.

Oh, and I like Romanian.

And some other languages that aren't Portuguese (Portuguese is absolutely horrendous, I can't believe people think it sounds "sexy").

West germany- wrote:Guten Tag, mein Kameraden.

*meine :p

also, "Genossen" is the more usual translation.
