South Waterford and Vizcaiza

Hello friends! Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!!

Citizens of the Great Union of Allied States,
I want to update you on the current proceedings of the constitutional convention. As of today, I have finished working on the bulk of the new constitution, and I am currently working on formatting and grammar. I want to thank Zetox for input regarding the judicial system and craft a government that will grow with the region. South Waterford for tie-breaking as well as hosting the whole thing, lastly but most certainly not least, I would Like to thank Liberal Malaysia, who more or less built the whole structure of the new constitution.

Without them, this constitution would never have come to fruition; I am merely a guy who puts finger to keyboard to bring the many ideas (occasionally conflicting) onto one document. I also want to thank everyone for their patience as we take a step towards a bright future.

South Waterford, Zetox, Liberal Malaysia, and Southern kingdom union

India cracks down on Muslim rioters over "derogatory" Mohammed remarks

LinkIndian officials step up arrests, demolish houses to stop unrest over anti-Islam remarks

Mrityunjay Kumar, Adityanath's media adviser, tweeted a photo of a bulldozer demolishing a building and said "Unruly elements remember, every Friday is followed by a Saturday."

Home demolitions for inciting violence and throwing stones. India is acting totally BASED at the moment. That's an uber-hardline, bad*ss, Israeli-style crackdown they're conducting right now and it's f*cking awesome. THIS is how governments around the world should be responding to would-be Muslim rioters and terrorists who can't handle a few choice words about their murdering, raping, conquering, looting, pillaging, enslaving "prophet" by one brave Hindu woman and seem perfectly fine with emulating some of his methods through their violent actions this day all the while repeatedly gaslighting non-Muslims into believing that Islam is a peaceful, tolerant religion.

Peaceful at times, perhaps. Tolerant? Absolutely not. Tell that to all the non-Muslims who have been arrested and imprisoned by the Muslim state for years, if not lynched by a mob over real or perceived slights against their faith. Tell that to all those who are simply too afraid to speak out because they know what will happen to them if they do. Tell that to all those who have to worry about that sudden knock on the door at 4 in the morning by police coming to whisk them away in the back of a police car over something they posted online. And they have the nerve to call US "privileged".

This long-overdue crackdown on totalitarian fascists is the least they deserve for ALL of the intolerant, oppressive bullsh*t they have subjected us to for CENTURIES. THIS is how we FIGHT BACK. We show them that the spirit and resilience of non-Muslims can NEVER be broken. We STAND as ONE. Hindus, Jews, Christians, atheists, Sikhs, Buddhists, and genuinely liberal, non-woke, Muslim allies who truly believe in what it is that we stand for. E pluribus unum. Kumbaya.

I stand fully and wholeheartedly with embattled non-Muslim Hindus who are FIGHTING for their RIGHTS, DIGNITY, and EQUALITY, and sending a clear and unambiguous message that fascism carries a very high price for those who advocate and practice it in India today. DENY these chauvinists and imperialists any more of their precious Lebensraum and TAKE BACK BY FORCE what has already been lost if necessary, house by house, street by street, city by city, and country by country as the Ukrainians and Israelis have been doing. Fight fire with fire and don't EVER cede an inch to these fascists, for they will never yield an inch in return because their authoritarian, chauvinistic ideology of HATE prevents them from doing so. Sometimes, direct action, not the cowardly lip service of wishy-washy, woke politicians, is key to real change. Stop playing defense and start playing offense.

Do not think for one moment that fascists can ever be reasoned with and do not fall victim to their lies, their manipulation, and their repeated attempts to reverse the victim-offender dynamic and play the racism and "Islamophobia" card. THEY are the abusers and we are the SURVIVORS. THEY are the ones who traffic in HATE and DIVISION while it is WE who must stand as a bulwark against that very hate. ALWAYS remember that. Do not buy into the idea that love is the answer to hate, because if we respond to their hate with love, they will UTTERLY ANNIHILATE US. The Paradox of Tolerance by Karl Popper tells us how we must respond. Think of your family and friends and all the people that you care about. Think about your life as you know it and think about what could be.

"Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me."

It is clear that the Islamist fascists who are rioting in the streets of India's cities right now do not believe in this maxim in the slightest. So yell this powerful slogan to those who can't handle mean words about their "prophet" without erupting into a frenzy of mindless violence to the point of attacking Hindus and other non-Muslim passers-by: "Nazi scum off our streets."

Hold up cartoons of Mohammed and burn copies of the Qur'an in front of them to show them that WE WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED OR COERCED INTO SILENCE via threats and violence. We will ENDURE. NON-MUSLIM LIVES MATTER.

The Indian government's policy of home demolitions is JUST THE BEGINNING. India must double down and intensify its crackdown until the country is finally rid of the scourge of Islamist fascism. Rinse and repeat in every other country in the world. The BJP is the REAL Antifa and I applaud their efforts so far to correct longstanding historical injustices and redress the legitimate grievances of non-Muslims who have suffered for centuries. This is their means of exacting punitive reparations from those who have wronged us for so long. May India NEVER be cowed into groveling submission by these totalitarian control freaks at home and abroad.

In Malaysia, Malay-Muslim rioters were able to brutally massacre hundreds of non-Muslims in the streets of our capital with impunity because they are the majority and Islamist chauvinists have wielded a near-absolute monopoly of political power over us for generations ever since the British departed our shores in 1957/63. Since that fateful day on May 19, 1969, we have been cowering in submission ever since, silently and meekly acquiescing to their every demand that we keep our heads down and never challenge the racist status quo while they slowly attempt to erase us and threaten our secular, non-Muslim way of life little by little.

That's why it feels SO GOOD every time non-Muslims in a different part of the world are able to gain the upper hand against their would-be oppressors and publicly and courageously assert their rights, dignity, and equality as human beings by taking to the streets just as blacks did in America during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s-60s. NOW they know how WE feel. NON-MUSLIM LIVES MATTER.

In response to this latest, egregious assault on freedom of speech by the ENTIRE MUSLIM WORLD, government officials and Muslim internet trolls alike, Qatar included, against a man and a woman in India who are now on the receiving end of rape and death threats simply because they uttered some home truths about Islam in response to insults against their Hindu faith and pantheon, I think I'll be boycotting the Qatar 2022 World Cup in protest against the Qatari government's attempts to stamp out the freedom of speech of non-Muslim critics of Islam in India from thousands of kilometers away.

And shame on Reuters for blindly parroting the view that criticism of Islam and Mohammed is "derogatory", "hateful", or "Islamophobic". They need to check their wokeness at the door.

You're in the military? Based.

I know I would quickly lose my mind if that happened to me. How long are your power outages? The longest I've ever had to endure is 10 hours. Is it hot out?

Do you have like compulsory national service or something? We used to have it here in Malaysia. It was a total waste of time and the previous government scrapped it a few years ago. Non-Malays and non-Muslims were routinely disrespected and discriminated against and many Hindus and Buddhists were forced to consume beef. All kinds of abuses took place in those camps. At least Israel's compulsory national service serves an actual purpose and women are also required to serve so there's also that element of female empowerment and gender equality. I grew up abroad so I was lucky enough to never have to do national service or be subjected to the local education system from an early age. Thank God for that.

Our armed forces are not exactly up to par so we have to rely on the U.S. Navy to defend us against the PLA. If you're serving in the U.S. military, then you have my respect. Without you guys, we'd be screwed and Taiwan wouldn't even exist by now. Stay strong and stay proud.

VICTORY! Loh Siew Hong's custody order upheld, and more

LinkCourt blocks Maips from intervening in Loh's divorce case

The Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (Maips) is now unable to access the three unilaterally converted children of Loh Siew Hong.

The civil court this afternoon dismissed the state religious body’s application to intervene in the divorce proceedings between Loh (above) and her Muslim-convert former husband.

Judge Evrol Mariette Peters ruled that Maips has failed to prove that it is an interested party in relation to the betterment of the children’s lives.

She reiterated that her ruling today would still be the same regardless of the religious status of the children.

The judge noted that in the event that the children’s conversion was done properly, Maips would still not be allowed to intervene because the body only has jurisdiction for Muslims in Perlis.

“The fact of the matter is that the children do not belong to the community in Perlis.

“They live in Selangor and their connection to Perlis is transitory as that is where they were taken to be converted,” Peters said.

The judge also said that the children are not orphans as they are now under the full custody and care of Loh, adding that Maips failed to prove that the single mother did not ensure her children still continue to receive religious education.

Maips to pay Loh RM8k

She noted that the state religious body had also failed to seek the views of the former husband in relation to the bid to vary Loh’s full custody order.

Peters emphasised that the civil family’s role to safeguard the interest of the children can be seen in the analogy of inviting guests into the family home.

“The application to seek leave (to intervene in Loh’s divorce proceedings is (equivalent of) asking the court (with Maips as the hypothetical guest) as a dinner host to enter the home and eventually sit at dinner with the family.

“The host here is the family court who has to be cautious of the guest that is invited to dinner as there are children in the house that needs to be protected

“If (the host) is cautious of the guest, then it is better not to allow them to enter as that not only would waste the time of the guest but also the host.

“My decision is even if the children are in fact Muslims, this (intervener) application (by Maips) must fail as the proposed intervener failed to show it is an interested person,” Peters ruled as Loh looked on from the public gallery.

The judge then ordered Maips to pay RM8,000 in costs to Loh.

Nagashwaran’s request

Maips previously filed for leave to intervene in the civil court matter so that it would have legal standing to seek to modify Loh’s custody order over her three children, who were converted into Islam by their father Muhammad Nagahswaran Muniandy, 35.

The state religious body was represented by counsel Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla, while lawyers A Srimurugan and Shamsher Singh Thind acted for Loh.

Later in proceedings, Nagahswaran’s counsel Malcolm Fernandez told the court regarding their incarcerated client’s request to communicate with the children via video call.

The civil court granted full custody to the single mother on March 31 last year and decree nisi (to annul Loh’s marriage to Nagahswaran) on Sept 23 last year.

Fernandez said the application seeks to allow the father - currently serving a jail term in Machang, Kelantan - to speak to the three children via online video call.

It is understood that Nagahswaran is set to finish his prison term sometime later this year.

“He (Nagahswaran) just wants to speak to the children. I met the father in prison, he has the letters from the children on the (prison) wall.

“We just wish to seek from this court to allow the father to speak to the children,” Fernandez said.

Srimurugan then told the court that he needs to speak to Loh about this.

Peters then set July 4 for further case management of the case.

Nagahswaran was alleged to have run away with the children and carried out the conversion in July 2020 without Loh’s consent and knowledge.

Loh’s separate legal bid to strike down her children’s Islamic conversion is fixed for decision before another Kuala Lumpur High Court on Aug 1.

On Feb 21, the Kuala Lumpur High Court (criminal jurisdiction) allowed her habeas corpus application to be reunited with her three children.

Justice has been done yet again! MAIPS can go suck d*ck. Cope and seethe, fascists. This just goes to highlight the vital role an independent judiciary plays in curbing governmental excesses. Speaking of an independent judiciary, a judge who convicted a former PM on corruption charges is now being investigated by the country's "anti-corruption" agency based on a politically motivated complaint by a Najib supporter upset with the verdict. A protest by lawyers is planned for next month.

LinkCourt dismisses Muslim-born woman’s bid to leave Islam

The Syariah Court's denial of a Muslim woman’s bid to renounce Islam and become a follower of Buddhism and Confucianism will stay in place.

This followed the civil court’s dismissal this morning of the 32-year-old’s application for leave to commence judicial review to quash the Syariah Court ruling.

The applicant’s lawyer Fahri Azzat confirmed the dismissal of the leave application by the Kuala Lumpur High Court (appellate and special powers jurisdiction) this afternoon delivered via email to parties.

“(Civil court judge) Ahmad Kamal Md Shahid dismissed the applicant’s application for leave for judicial review with costs of RM2,000 (to be paid by the woman to the Attorney-General’s Chambers or AGC).

“The decision was given by email at 3.28pm, sent by the court interpreter. After short submission by email, cost was determined at 4.29pm.

“We informed the applicant immediately after the decision. The applicant instructed us to appeal against the decision. We filed an appeal (to the Court of Appeal) against the decision at 4.49pm.

“We will effect service of the appeal notice (on the Syariah Court) tomorrow,” the lawyer said.

Federal counsel Sallehuddin Md Ali, who is from the AGC and appeared for the government today, confirmed the court outcome.

The government lawyer added that the civil court judge did not provide grounds for the decision.

In effect, today’s verdict means the civil court will not hear the merits of her legal challenge against the Syariah Court’s refusal to allow her to renounce Islam.

On March 4, she went to the civil court to nullify the Syariah Court’s decision. Today was set for decision on her bid.

The woman’s judicial review bid named the Federal Territory Syariah Appeal Court, the Federal Territory Syariah High Court, the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP), and the government as first, second, third, and fourth respondents, respectively.

‘Never practised Islam’

According to the cause papers, the woman, born to a Muslim convert man and Muslim-born woman on Feb 8, 1990, allegedly went through a multi-year failed bid at the Syariah Court to leave the religion and officially take on Confucianism and Buddhism.

She claimed the Syariah High Court and Court of Appeal refused her bid as they held it would go against ‘hukum syarak’ (Islamic principles) to allow a fellow Muslim to leave the faith.

The woman - whose parents have since divorced - claimed her Muslim mother never forced Islam on her and gave her free rein to determine her own faith.

She claimed her father only converted to Islam in order to marry her mother and that her parents never practised the faith.

Contending that she neither practised Islam nor even recited the Kalimah Syahadah, she initially went to the Federal Territory Syariah High Court to try to renounce Islam.

The Kalimah Syahadah - one of the Five Pillars of Islam - is an Islamic oath that reads “I bear witness that there is no deity but God (Allah), and I bear witness that Muhammad is the messenger of God.”

The woman alleged that on Dec 10, 2018, the Syariah High Court ordered her to attend 12 pre-trial aqidah (faith) counselling sessions for a six-month period beginning Jan 14, 2019.

She said she then took leave from her employment in Oman and flew back to Malaysia to attend the 12 sessions which in the end managed to be completed between Jan 14 and 25 that year.

The woman claimed her mother and her mother’s close friend testified before the Syariah High Court over her faith in Confucianism and Buddhism.

She alleged however that on July 27, 2020, the Syariah High Court dismissed her bid and instructed her to undergo istitabah under MAIWP or the “Mufti’s Office”.

Under the country’s Syariah system, istitabah refers to faith rehabilitation.

She claimed that the court also ordered her to undergo continuous Islamic classes as well as more aqidah counselling.

"There is no compulsion in Islam."

Uh huh. Sure.

LinkState PAS chief summoned for audience with S'gor sultan

Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has summoned state PAS chief Ahmad Yunus Hairi for an audience today, according to the state royal office.

The state palace said in a Facebook post that the meeting at Istana Bukit Kayangan lasted about an hour. Details of the meeting were not revealed.

The audience at Istana Bukit Kayangan today followed Yunus’ June 10 call to bar Muslims from taking part in the Bon Odori festival.

Previously, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Idris Ahmad told Muslims not to attend Bon Odori, claiming that the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia had researched Bon Odori and believed that it would lead Muslims astray.

Sultan Sharafuddin, however, disagreed with the minister’s view that the event was religious in nature and asked Idris to attend the event himself.
Selangor ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah

The sultan had already instructed the Selangor Islamic Religious Department yesterday not to obstruct the event which will be held at the Shah Alam National Sports Complex on July 16.

The Bon Odori is a dance during the Bon festival - which honours the spirits of ancestors and has roots in Buddhism and Shinto.

The dance itself is originally meant to welcome the spirits of said ancestors.

However, outside of Japan, the event has largely been stripped of religious connotations.

The Bon Odori has been organised in Malaysia since 1977 by Japanese expatriates.

The event in Selangor - touted as the largest outside Japan - is jointly organised by the Japan Club of Kuala Lumpur, the Japanese School of Kuala Lumpur, and the Japanese Embassy, with support from the state government.

Looks like the Muslim establishment is divided between federal fascist hardliners who want to ban Muslims from attending a secular festival to celebrate cultural diversity and the moderate, opposition-run Selangor state government as well as its ruler who want to allow Muslims to attend the festival. It looks as if the moderates have the upper hand for now. This is good because we want Muslims to experience how non-Muslims live their lives and celebrate their cultures and traditions. We want them to see that our very existence as non-Muslims is not, in fact, an affront to Islam rendering us worthy only of extermination or enslavement by Islamist fascists. We want them to know that we are here to stay and we are here to have a good time and if Muslims want to join in, let them. If they want to renounce Islam due to being exposed to our frankly superior way of living, so much the better for both them and us and so much the worse for these fascists.

Tiong defends Gawai dinner dancers, calls critics 'dirty minded'

Bintulu MP Tiong King Sing has defended a dance performance during a Gawai dinner event which some critics found too raunchy.

Tiong, who was present at the June 11 event, said the performers were performing a cowboy-themed dance and that those in attendance approved of the “unique stage performance” which combined dance elements from various cultures.

“There is nothing wrong with the costumes worn by performers of the Cowboy Dance. There is no nudity, so I don’t understand why these performers are being victimised at all,” wrote Tiong on his Facbeook page yesterday.

The event in question was a Gawai dinner organised by the Bawang Assan branch of the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).

Tiong is the PDP president and state assemblyperson for Dudong, a constituency near Bawang Assan.

Following the event, some netizens complained about the cowboy-themed dance performance which segued into a typical k-pop dance performance.

Gawai ‘desecrated’

One such critic was Dayak National Congress (DNC) president Paul Raja who described the performance as “dirty dancing”, adding that the dance has “desecrated” the sanctity of the Gawai celebration and demanded an apology.

“Gawai is celebrated by the Dayak community - Iban, Bidayuh, and Orang Ulu - as a thanksgiving festival to God for the blessings, health, and prosperity that the community has experienced over the past year.

“Whether in the longhouse or in the urban setting, the Gawai celebration is done in respect, sacredness, and solemnness together with joy and festivities.

“It has never been part of the Gawai celebration where lurid dances with sexual overtones are presented. The costumes used during the Gawai celebration, though moderate in fashion, were never meant to be lurid,” said Paul.

‘Virtue-signalling’

In response, Tiong said it was Paul that should apologise to the dancers for overreacting for political mileage.

Tiong also accused Paul of making “dirty-minded comments disguised as self-righteousness and self-declared virtue signalling”.

“There are all kinds of people on the street with their own sense of dress and style. Do those who use less fabric on their bodies need to apologise too?

“Does (Paul) get offended if he walks on foreign beaches with topless sunbathers? If Paul is there at the cowboy (dance) performance, who knows what kind of dirty thoughts would have flooded his mind to inspire such comments,” asked Tiong.

Why only complain about "sexual" dancing after the fact instead of prior? If you're going to complain, take it up with the organizers, not the dancers themselves.

Thailand will drop its mask mandate in all situations beginning next month but will continue to encourage the use of masks. If things turn out fine in Thailand, we can follow suit in Malaysia. Thus, the emphasis will shift from legal to social enforcement. Thailand will also further ease COVID travel restrictions in order to better revive its battered tourism sector.

Meanwhile, a UK study shows that those who catch Omicron are 20-50% less likely to develop long COVID symptoms compared to those who are infected with earlier strains such as Delta.
