The Selkie wrote:For the ARVN-Team? What's a typical animal for Vietnam, which you'd want to associate with a Sensha-Do Team? Or which is cute?

I’d say Elephants, the ARVN rangers also went with black tigers.

The rhodesians also had a lion, though a live one may be illegal, so maybe Rhodesian ridgeback?

Since Queen Vic’s is based on St. Gloriana, I don’t think they’d have a mascot.

The Canadian school may be bears and their uniforms are Canadian Mounties.

I'd like to note, that a mascot does not have to come along necessarily. For instance, the mascot and animal on the coat of arms as well as the namesake of the University of Megido Sensha-Do Team is the Mushusshu, which is this wonderful creature: https://t-s.fandom.com/wiki/Sand_Wyvern
Up to 17 metres long.
Ferocious.
More claws and teeth then evolution knew what to do with.
Hard exoskeleton.
A club-like tail heavy and quick enough to send cars flying, literally.
You can imagine, that bringing such a beast along would be... difficult. They settled for plush.

i should write up a christinaslander school that does tankery

For those of you, who always wanted to know North German Cuisine a little bit, here's a splendid little NDR-documentary about it. It is in German, so you'll have to turn on subs and autotranslate, but the images should be enough, too.
Good appetite!

oh shoot i still need to watch this

If you want.

Instead of astronomical purposes I prefer https://youtu.be/FSmzHQqqvIw?t=1096 - "The Bronze Age equivalent of a gold-plated AK-47".

In other news, the Sensha-Do Convention proceeds along nicely, the preparations are advancing well. With the counsel in mind, I decided on how to do the proceedings:
1 OOC.
2 ICs, one for the Festival itself, one for the Big International Joint Match (which will happen on a Selkiefied Malinovka, a map of World of Tanks).
The ICs will start simultanously on the 3rd of June, the OOC two weeks prior as usual.

I'm thinking of actually throwing in that Osean team I made a while back y'know...
Instead of me trying once more to OP one... (maybe we can do that later).

Sounds good. Please keep in mind, 60s and 70s. ; )
As for being the OP of one, I will admit, that this is the first RP of that kind I am doing, so I would be happy to share experiences.

Also, I should mention, that I'm thinking about limiting participants to two or three tanks in the Big International Match, so that no one just floods the field.
If I will allow Witches or not depends on who is asking. ; )

It'd also force people who never cooperated before to cooperate so that'd be interesting out of the story-telling perspective. :3

Meanwhile does practically unarmed command vehicles count towards the limit? Iirc a Staghound Command has like.. an M1919 bow MG and a Bren gun...

Exactly my line of thought.

I am tempted to say yes, but do not quote me on that one. Let me think about it.

Selks, can I invite someone outside our normal group? <.<

Sure. Who?

Meanwhile, how hard can I modify rl tanks even if they weren't service variants in Osea?

Modifying as in "A7V with automatic grenade launchers and an engine which the Leo2 would get wet dreams about" or...?

What I have in mind and these two things would be the only ones:
1. Putting the Meteor engine into my Black Prince.
2. Replacing the 17-pdr on the Black Prince with the 20-pdr like what my 5 Centurion Mk. 3's have. The Black Prince's turret was an alternate one for the Centurion project so it should fit with little issues.

Considering, that the show made a 38(t) into a Hetzer without any rhyme or reason, I am sure, that this little bit of engineering magic will be alright.
However, as the OP, I need to insist, that you note such modifications in the app.

Ofc I will note them in the app. :3

Maybe it's also time to start worldbuilding in preparation.

I mean, I’m inviting Liegalla on top of Meillur so….

Kinda feel bad for them if they put in a tankery team though… fighting them would be like clubbing baby seals…

Well, then it's time for a training montage! I'll rewrite I'll Make a Man Out of You! ; )

Think the Liegallan lasses would be able to handle it?
