Nonsense. Pillowlandia's throat, and all other body parts for that matter, are still attached and functional.

What happened is that from time to time Pillowlandia assumes the role of bouncer, teacher, moderator, or some other authority figure. This is annoying to some of the rest of us as that nation really has no authority to be correcting or admonishing anyone. When those occasions arise, there are a few of us, myself included, that find it difficult not to mock someone that self identifies as our parent.

It's not a coup. I don't want to eject or ban Pillowlandia at all. He may be annoying sometimes but he is an important part of TDC.

During a particularly severe flare up of Paranoid Trump Derangement Syndrome, Sen. John McCain specifically disinvited President Trump from his funeral.[1][2] That's ok with me. It is his funeral.

However, on the day of the funeral the most of the news media and all of social media blew up with variations on the "Trump skips McCain funeral" theme. Most took extreme exception to Trump playing golf during the funeral.[3] The anchor on MSNBC's morning show said the President's absence from the funeral is Trump's "last, final snub of the late senator.

This was a set up. Think of it as McCain stabbing at Trump from the grave.

McCain is not stupid. He's been around the media block many times. There is no way McCain did not know, or at least strongly suspect, that after making that request, most of the US media were going to slam the President no matter what he did. Trump honored McCain's wishes and was crucified in the media for it. Had he not honored the wishes and made some effort to attend, or actually attended the funeral, most of the media would have crucified him for that.

No matter what the President may have said or done, he was going to the media shredder for it. In fact, they did. Trump's Tweet offering condolences to McCain's family was met with mass media scorn and complaints.[4][5]

Frankly, if I were the president in similar circumstances, I would have gone golfing too.
