Long route, but try to do it discreetly. Or perhaps send a decoy on the long route but actually attack them through the short route

Technically yes. Raiding is when a lot of raider nations invade a region and take over the government. Nothing actually happens to each individual nation.

Pretty much. Issues and what you want to add in your Factbooks

There are groups that liberate regions. Mostly large regions have these groups who help regions that have been raided by sending them all in and supporting the old regime.

These groups and raiders don't really debate or role play military invasions.

The raiders see weak, open regions and their nations move in en masse. Then they all endorse their leader and overthrow the old government.

The liberators try to move in quickly to counter the raiders. They have Skype groups and such to discuss this

Taijitu is strictly neutral. No raiders, no liberators. We don't get involved in foreign events I think. And we have over 400 nations. It's rather safe
