Hark! For the historic city of Mdina has been seized by the forces of the left! Not all of the details are offically known, but what we have been able to gather is that someone within the city walls had opened the gate for the rebels to slip in during the night. After that, it seems as if the men caught the garrison in their bunks, and the rest during their guard duties.
We had sent a war corespondent, Albert Fischenbaker, to yell questions at partisans from below the wall,
"What is going on in there?"
"What?"
"I said, what are you all doing in their!"
"... things!"
"What?"
"The trains are running on time!"
"What? No trains come into Mdina!"
"Under us they do!"
"What's it like being a communist partisan?"
"I'm not a communist! I'm a Ratist! IT'S A SPECTRUM!"
Truly terrible lot; it is believed that the men are not making the trains run on time, but rather burning things, burning lots of things. It's also said that they hang folks by their toes and kick dogs for laughs. Oh lord, why have you cursed us with this band of ruffians! And to make matters worse, they have hostages, lots of them! Even officers, do you know what they do with the officers? They make them do manual labor like the rest of the pows! Oh the humanity! Someone needs to show these rascallians what for. And that man is our King, Ludwig! Ludwig has finally had enough with the incompetence displayed by the men in command. Now Ludwig gave the boys the boot, and unshered him and his brother in to take the city back and defeat the rebel scum that has been terrorizing the good people of this realm! It's said that King Ludwig is drawing up plans and suiting up as we speak!

King Ludwig and his brother Lawrence, the governor of Tunisia, laid hidden atop a hill outside Mdina. Covered by a nearby tree, a shrub and the night, the duo had been there doing their own personal reconnaissance for some time now.
"Pass me the binoculars, Ludwig." Lawrence nudged, keeping his voice hushed as to keep a low profile.
"Pass me the binoculars," Ludwig sneered, "Why don't you pass me a roasted chicken, I'm famished!"
"Yeah, and let's throw in Lablebi while we're at it." Lawrence chuckled, patiently waiting for his turn with the instrument.
This drew some mild confusion from Ludwig, who asked, "Lablaba? Is that some sort of Tunisian mud pie?"
"No brother," Lawrence ressasured, "it's a thick stew made with chickpeas, garlic, fish and some olive oil. I've grown quite accustomed to it after being in that place for so long."
"I can tell, you seem to be becoming much more of a Tunisian each time we meet." Ludwig smiled, before murmuring inaudibly, "A little too much."
Ludwig would then begin scanning the walls of the historic city, trying to find any weak points or rooms for human error in the defences. To him it seemed as if the men defending the city were as frozen as statues as they peered off into the distance. Every other hour or so the men would change their post or duties. "These men are good," He whispered to his brother, "They do not seem as if they'd give up lightly." Ludwig would shift his focus to the left wing up the city, it seemed as if the place was engulfed in flames, but there were no flames, but lights met with loud hollerings and the clankings of metal. "It's a bar mitzvah, probably." Lawrence injected, "There's a small Jewish community in the city." Ludwig nodded, and passed the binoculars to his brother, who in returned passed Ludwig a spirit,
"You know brother," Ludwig sighed after taking a swig, "It's great to finally do something together again, it's been how many years?" Lawrence gave a small shrug, "It has been awhile." He sighed, trying to keep conversation to a minimum while he focused.
After a couple minutes of silence on Ludwig's part, and concentration of Lawrence's, Lawrence made a grim announcement, "There is no way of assaulting the city conventionally without it being left in complete ruin. They seem to be well dug in, die-hard leftist who would be more than ready to burn the city and it's people to the ground before letting the place fall back into our hands."
"We could always rebuild and repopulate." Ludwig said plainly, "The people within the city had even helped the partisans take the city. If the partisans kill them than so be it. And if must deal with them, we shall. There's less than two hundred people in there, after all." Lawrence could not believe the words he had heard, he knew his brother was a cold hearted bastard of a king, but he never could have imagined that he would ever be contempt with the thought of murdering innocent people. HIS people. Sure, some war crimes have been committed on his orders and policies before. Even in Malta, under his brother's personal orders, mass executions of partisan prisoners had unfolded. Lawrence himself only seen one of these harrowing killings, where every third man was shot square in the back of his head while lying face down. He was as disgusted by that, as he was by this now.
But unlike before, where he simply stood and watched in idle horror, Lawrence was not going to sit idly by and watch Ludwig destroy the city of his birth, and allow the people that he had known and loved within the city during his youth to die horribly.

Progress on the Motor Vehicle project has seen more progress, the team in Georgia has successfully made a chassis that can hold the weight of the vehicle and light enough to move at a reasonable speed. The Project has moved along so much a visual prototype is being tested at Vladivostok, with members of the public allowed to witness the test. Marko stood on the stage in Vladivostok, behind was the prototype being driven by two of his assistances "People of Vladivostok, for a few years, my team and I have been working hard on making a efficient motor vehicle for the nation and the people and it is now with great pride that I unveil the 'Marko' named after me but made for the people. the test here is a success and in the next year it will enter production and be made ready available for all citizens and workers of not only this nation but the world"

A group of indiginous Peruvians were arrested today in Cusco after police discovered that they had been running a murder cult in the center of the city. The group, who call themselves the Red Suns, are linked and responsible for the murders of 14 people. The bodies were drained of all their blood and used in various cult rituals. All 20 members of the cult have been arrested.

It has come to our attention in the past few weeks that certain other British-themed regions, which shall remain unnamed, have decided to close their embassies with our fair region without giving any sort of explanation, ultimatum, or other form of communique that may provide communication as to why they chose to sever ties with us. We am appalled that these regions have betrayed our trust and friendship by not providing so much as a sentence as to why they left us.
The attempt to destabilize our inter-regional ties has left us scarred and deformed. But, we assure you; our resolve has never been stronger! If these other regions want so strongly to break their ties with us, then we too shall break the chains. If you must know one thing, it is this: The era of Pan-Anglospheric diplomacy is coming to an end. Foreign entanglements, which have formally been opposed by our government, shall no longer be used to hold us back. We will re-align ourselves towards a foreign policy of undisturbed isolation, and if others wish to work with us in this regard of placing one's own region's interests first, then we shall cooperate with them as brothers.
A tempest is coming, and we shall bear the storm!

Addendum: One particular region has provided at least some sustenance to their cutting of ties, claiming that we succumbed to isolationist fascism in spite of the fact that our representative democratic system not only places more power in the hands of the people than their autocratic monarchy, but has done so in one constitution rather than three.
Do not be deceived. Pax Britannia is a free society founded upon the ideals of dynamic democracy, and these backwards reactionaries are stooping down to the level of ad hominem fallacies and name calling to provide an excuse for isolating us.
Would you care to explain why you have proposed the construction of embassies with the Union of Nationalists? Has this been discussed with our government? Have you taken a look at their RMB? I did, and frankly, I'm a bit worried by the right-wing rhetoric practised there. With links to fascist websites, mentions of preserving "ethnic identities", and even direct references to the admiration of fascism, I do not think this is a region we should be meddling with.
We must remember that we aren't a politically affiliated region. We lean neither right nor left and anyone is welcome to express themselves here. The views of individual members do not reflect those of the region, which as I said is apolitical. If people outside our region feel the need to segregate us because of how some of our members feel regarding irl politics then that is their prerogative and nothing can be done about it.
That said, we shall not associate with those who slander our name.

Two questions: You have the fascist tag, but from what I read here on the rmb you're open minded, democratic and in favour of free speech (all good things imho). Can someone explain this to me?

Allow me,
By no means, at all, are we an officially fascist region.
We simply believe that a diversity of ideas makes for the best platform. We mainly have the fascist tag because we just have a number of authoritarian nations in our population. With that said, I myself was recently considering appending the communist tag, seeing as we have a strong presence of those nations as well.
Officially, our regional government does not endorse fascism, nor do we condone its authoritarian ideas. However, we believe that if someone does adhere to its teachings, then they are free to express their opinions on them.
Honestly, if I had to boil it down to a concise statement:
No one here (at least to my knowledge) is a legitimate fascist. We just use the tag because we have a lot of authoritarian nations.
And yes, we are open minded. We believe in the absolute necessity of free speech and freedom of political expression. I, for example, consider myself a libertarian, and am strongly against fascist ideas. My NS country doesn’t reflect my own views, and the same can be said for a great many of people here.
At the end of the day, we’re just here to make cool RPs that we have fun participating in. And that’s why we’re all the more elated to have new folks like you!

Battle for San Marino begins,
25th of November, 1903
San Marino, Italy
5,000 soldiers of the Newly formed National Italian army cross the San Marino river at midnight. They encounter considerable resistance with the Pope's forces having set up machine gun posts, sniper nests and artillery postions.
They fight all the way till dawn before finally securing a bridge head. They then bring in reinforcements while under constant artillery bombardment.
They still however push on and now with a attacking force of 30,000 men they manage to flank behind some of their defenese and manage to force the Pope's forces to withdraw.
The Socialist forces push back the Pope's forces to the city of San Marino itself where the Pope's forces dig in for a defence.

Traitors in our Midst?
As the war continues against the Serbs and their odious Balkan League, the government has taken proactive measures to ensure stability on the domestic front and the continuing safety of the Hungarian peoples.
It was reported in the early hours of Monday night that ethnic Serbs in the Slavic Quarter of Budapest had begun violent protests against the war - terrorising innocent civilians in the local area and incurring significant property damage to the businesses of hardworking Hungarians. Shops and homes were smashed and burnt throughout the night as the violent mob prowled throughout the Tában district of the city before moving to congregate in György Dózsa Square.
It is believed that local Serbian dissidents had organised the mob through the ethno-revolutionary Braća Srbije newspaper, whose editorial has repeatedly called to arms local Slavs, and has clearly and unambiguously stoked up traitorous revolutionary attitudes. Local sources suggest that this paper is widely read amongst the local Slavic community, and many of the papers views are but mouthpieces of sentiments shared near-unanimously within this community.
Thankfully following heroic and herculean efforts by local police in assistance with loyal and patriotic Hungarian citizens, the revolt was put down. Andrej Mirasov, the main firebrand leading the revolt, and known to be popular amongst the Slavic community, was swiftly detained and prosecuted with charges of high treason and inciting public disorder. It is expected he will be executed at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon by hanging, alongside several other prominent conspirators of the revolt.
In response to the crisis, the government has issued a number of directives to maintain stability and protect loyal citizens from the violence of Slavs and other traitors within our midst. Since such a small press outlet was able to so easily whip up these repugnant revolutionary sentiments, the government has enacted measures to prevent such acts from occurring again. All distrubutors of news and opinion henceforth will be subject to controls from the Imperial Ministry of the Interior to ensure that their content is fully representative to the glorious Magyar peoples. The government has made assurances that these controls will be considered and discrete, and has asserted that only those press outlets promoting such abhorrent views have anything to fear.
Furthermore Palatine János Sólyom has also announced that until such time as the widespread motives and intents of the community can be fully discerned, all Slavs within Hungarian borders will be interned to ensure public safety. The Palatine expressed his regret at having to take such drastic measures, but stated that if so many fellow traitorous Slavs joined in this repulsive violence before, how can all others be trusted again. Camps are already being swiftly set up across the country, and while Slavs are free to voluntarily hand themselves over to the authorities, it is presumed that most will be rounded up by police over the next few weeks.

Operation Hammer Strike
February 5, 1903 - November 11, 1904
The beginning of Operation Hammer Strike, thousands of soldiers lined up and on the border who were ready for the operation to beginning. At 11:13 am, General Veronica leading Group C gave the order to fire on the enemy lines for Group B to make a charge for Khmelnytskyi, the initial bombardment and attack wasn't a success but when the Germans retaliated they didn't make much gains either. for next few weeks of the war they're was nothing but statement on the front line with a few skirmishes happening in between. it wasn't until February 21st that the German Zepplins launched attacks on our lines causing fires behind our lines. They were swiftly however before any severe supplies, equipment or people could be lost to them. In retaliation, Red Army Command authorized the small Airship task force to bombard Khmelnytskyi and its Supply depots to and cause the Germans to suffer from attrition. although the overhaul mission did succeed in destroy majority of their targets, it failed to effect them immediately but this would change in the long run for the Red Army.
As the war would develop further, Phase I as the Generals and Commanders called it, was going well. the recent victory from Group A at capturing Novohrad-Volyns'kyi which drew German attention away from Group B which allowed them t finally capture Khmelnytskyi. Intelligence gathered from scouts and Spectre operations have uncovered that the previous attack on German supplies were now starting to show its effects as Troops were starting to starve and run low on ammunition. Spurred on by the recent victories, General Koros gave a rousing speech at Khmelnytskyi to the quarter million troops there. After the failed attempts to rouse spirits before, his speech meant a lot to the men and women fighting "A GREAT LIES AHEAD OF US TODAY! NOTHING CAN STOP US! THE GERMAN COLONIAL MACHINE ENDS TODAY! AND WILL BE BECAUSE OF YOU! THE AMAZING PEOPLE THAT ARE PUTTING AN END TO THE GERMAN OPPRESSIVE EMPIRE! WILL MARCH FORTH UNTIL GERMANS SURRENDER OR UNTIL BERLIN HAS BEEN CAPTURED WHICHEVER COMES FIRST!...SO RAISE YOUR HEADS UP HIGH AND MARCH FORWARD TO VICTORY!!"
November 11, 1904 saw the end of Phase I of Hammer Strike as the Red Army eventually pushed the Germans out of Western Ukraine and into German Poland with the capture of Lwow. The presumed arrival of reinforcements of 500,000 and equipment and supplies will see the beginning of Phase II. the Campaign for the Germany itself.
