Alex would be either worried he combined alien genetics into himself or ever-so-slightly disappointed (as he kinda liked the intense and extreme things John did, yet was also rather creeped out by them).

Now now, he wound up doing those simple genetic modifications in a safe manner. Let's just say that you can cut his hand off and that same have could stab some poor fella repeatedly and agressively without any loss to Biomass.

It was all sorted out with the Darkened One (this is what I'm calling Darksoul from now on). He removed the illness, as he consumed Oblivion's power to control every dark thing it has ever created, and consumed everything that Oblivion made. Black Holes now normally kill people, as they should, and the Darkened One has retreated in exile to an undisclosed location that even we can't get to even with warp tech.

Anyway, after all that was settled and most of this Godly nonsense came to pass, we simply devoted to fixing our economy. Of course, the trade-off was corruption but most of our people agree it's a necessary step if they want out of the slums. Then we proceeded to exploit the more eager ones into soldiers, agents and the like. Most of the others work in factories or taking to more... Dishonest methods to pay the bills. The capital planet was renamed Corsahnim and it is the most important place to relay information about nearly everything going on in the Hope Cluster, and potentially every other Galaxy for the right price.

Indentured servitude is also very legal, and that demographic goes to our muscled alien friends, the Oxnians. You can tell from the name that they're ox-like creatures with barely a scrap of culture. They're suited as either combatants or, better yet, manual laborers. Don't worry about their health though - their culture values honor in the toughest workers and killing worthy foes more than money, and since the defeat of their Overlord at the hands of a 7 year old (more on that tomorrow) we can safely assume that they'll work to the bone for us. Though the final word from that comes from the kid himself, hilariously enough.

OOC, that was pretty hefty to write.

Fascinating!!
Also, beware enslaving muscle-y creatures who seem perfectly obedient. We tried that. Alex is still annoyed at the descendants of the original Orsonians.

Ah! Remote biomass control! Nifty! That’s not very common among most Evolved, making John a little more special than he already is.

Ah, it's not enslavement if it's a warrior culture that has respect to whoever kills their then leader. Not technically anyway. They're pretty easy to hunt if you have a few armor piercing bullets. Their hide is tough but they're primitive in nature, almost feral if not for the fact that they have such a heavily ingrained warrior culture.

Believe it or not he wants to be the toughest man alive now. He's sick of being a target and is going to stop at nothing to get any advantage he can get, including achieving Godhood if necessary. This isn't because of some deep rooted need for control either - he's doing this primarily out of survival instinct. However, he admits that the Decisive Dozen was a product of curiosity rather than survival.

Ahh, nice! Vulcans (Spartans) are slightly similar. They originally swore fealty to Alex after he effortlessly slaughtered their God-King, thousands of years before the Rebellion. Challenges to his right to rule were common, but always ended with a dead Vulcan. But over time they came to genuinely worship him, and accept their place as subjects of the Empire. Though they mostly stick to themselves on volcanic worlds. That’s probably best for everyone, since they tend to be very Mercerist, and it would be quite bad if one became an extremist.
Anywho, I can see Oxnians sometimes being “contracted” for manual labor and experiments by Imperial scientists.

Interesting! Alex will help him along, of course. He wouldn’t want him to nearly die...again. He might be flummoxed by the control thing, as Alex is quite powerhungry, despite his generally good intentions.

Assuming the Decisive Dozen is just a fancy name for the many offspring you mentioned?

The Orson Empire wrote:(OOC: I'm honestly seeing this as a potential beginning to the 2nd Andrew-Orson War, if this is all occurring around 2015-2016, or even an alternate beginning to the 3rd Andrew-Orson War. What do you think, Andrew, Oceara, etc.?)

In response to the embargoes, the Imperial Inquisition has gotten into contact with various agents throughout the Andrewian and Wagain territories. These agents are attempting to "run the blockade" and smuggle goods into and out of these nations in an attempt to avoid the embargo. Meanwhile, the Empire has enacted a full embargo on the Ocearans, Wagains, and Andrewians, and is encouraging the Lucijans to do the same. Currently, the Empire is only mainly trading with the Timmies.

Emperor Turner has demanded that the Andrewian soldiers along the border stand down and to "cease his meddling in Lucijan affairs", and that the Empire will defend the Lucijans with military force if necessary.

OOC: Just what I was thinking. Could be one of the things that helped kick start one of the wars we had.

Emperor Andrew has refused the request, stating that the same should be said about Orsonian troops meddling in SL affairs. Troops will remain in position and will be holding the embargoes tight. As well as the embargoes, we are officially cut all travel to and from both Santa Lucijan and Orson. There will officially be no ways in or out to our nation, and we will not even be allowing 3rd party travel methods from other countries to go through.

The Orson Empire wrote:OOC: I'd imagine they would be placed on lock-down and secured by local police forces until the war concluded.
OOC: I think I would agree, as it seems relations with the SRA are already bad (which makes since if the 2nd War already happened), and Oceara is unwilling to accept any peace.
Turner has refused to attend any peace summit.

The Imperial people by and large are calling for war with the Tri-Imperial Material Alliance, and the Imperial Military is ready for action. Turner himself is ready to execute the "Grand Plan", which calls for the complete subjugation of the Andrewian and Ocearan Empires (though the existence of this plan is only known to a few select people in the Empire).

Emperor Andrew himself has stated that he will not attend a summit, unless Santa Lucjia ceases operations against it's own people and Orsonian troops pull out of SL.

SIC: Hallian agents operating in Orson are gathering information on Orsonian involvement in the potential civil war, as well as other agents were inserted into SL to assist in evacuating civilians across the borders into Hallian territory to avoid the inevitable war.

President Calaway walked in the halls of his abode, humming to himself as he passed those around him. While the Palace served as his home, the complex also served as an office for other Government Officials, so most of those he passed were Officials from across the Republic, if not Ambassadors from foreign nations that were invited to the Palace by Calaway himself. He eventually stopped and greeted the Ambassadors, thanking them for visiting before offering to give them a tour of the public areas of the complex.

For those that agreed to take the tour, they were led first to one of the open-roof sections of the Palace, where the Coruscant sky seemed to glow above their heads as refreshments were offered by Palace Staff. This particular section housed many eating establishments from different cultures, with all sorts of foods and other refreshments being made to specifically meet the needs and wants of the customers. After some time of consuming these refreshments, Calaway presented what existed so far of a Ambassadorial Chamber that was under construction within the complex. This chamber would be used as a safe-room for any and all foreign Ambassadors on Coruscant during times of emergency when evacuation is not guaranteed. It, like his own personal quarters and other important sections of the Palace, would run on its own power generators separate from the complex itself, and would be capable of providing refreshments and other consumables for up to three months, as well as having a communications system and small armory installed in case of dire need.

As they were preparing to leave the area, an Army Cadet approached them in a hurry to halt President Calaway. "President Calaway!" the Cadet said before standing at attention and saluting. "What's the matter Cadet?" Mark saluted before motioning for a nearby Palace Staff member to approach. "There has been a development during communications silence with General V and his men on Kessel. I'm afraid the news is urgent, as many other Officials have gathered to discuss the matter in the meeting room close to your quarters. I have been ordered to retrieve and escort you to the meeting as soon as possible." Mark sighed, "It seems like even now the war is keeping everyone busy...Alright, let's go." he said before requesting that the Palace Staff resume the tour for the guests while he was gone, departing with the Cadet moments later.

Cybus1 wrote:Assuming the Decisive Dozen is just a fancy name for the many offspring you mentioned?

It's what they call themselves. The biggest three of the dozen are Jackie, who happens to be national leader for her bluntness and willingness to be controversial; Johnson, the one who decided to bring forth more... Brutal elements into warfare, up to and including using weapons that break conventional warfare but only a little bit; and then there's Jeremy, who focuses primarily on the sciences, primarily medicinal, though his research has lead to effective torture methods for Evolved.

OOC, the rest will be revealed gradually. I don't want to squander all my creativity as I have just gotten back into the character I want to play

The Ocearan Government has begun General Mobilization, seeking to have 14 Million Troops under arms by the end of the year.

Ocearan forces have requested permission to station 20 Divisions in the Cacusus to defend the SRA from a potential Lucijan Offensive for the Capital of the SRA.

Ocearan Navy Forces have begun to move into positions for a blockade of the Atlantic, and have dispatched a fleet to Japan(since we have full port usage rights with the SRA) to have a presence in the Pacific as well.

Oceara has put forth a massive equipment order to buy all of the Timmian Cold-war era tanks in their stockpile.

What parts of the Atlantic are being blockaded? The Northern Atlantic is very important to us. As for the cold war era tanks do you have a preference for European, Soviet, or North American tanks?

No preference, and we haven't started a blockade but the blockade would only apply to military ships belonging to Oceara's enemies.

Currently there is a backlog for US/Canadian/Korean/West European cold war weaponry. So, we can offer you some Eastern European and Soviet tanks from the 1960's/1970's/1980's.
Please note there could be some delays as the companies are trying to expedite your orders. The first batches will be delivered from Niger by truck.

Thanks, I estimate the cost of the equipment would be ~50-200 Billion depending on just how many tanks that ends up being?

Oceara wrote:Thanks, I estimate the cost of the equipment would be ~50-200 Billion depending on just how many tanks that ends up being?

Anywhere from 75 billion to 201 billion. It depends on how many they are able to ship out from the warehouses. The warehouses are scattered throughout the world. Your lucky that some of them are located in Niger and Chad. The companies are required by law as well to keep a certain amount of Vehicles on hand in case we need them.

Oceara wrote:Thanks, I estimate the cost of the equipment would be ~50-200 Billion depending on just how many tanks that ends up being?

The first deliveries are on their way to Ghana from Chad. The trucks transporting the tanks are having to a longer more secure route to avoid going through Andrewian or Orsonian controlled lands.

New Update: 75% of total tanks are at the border of Oceran-Timmy Africa or are at the port of Accra with other ships waiting for permission to dock. The delivery of tanks has snarled all traffic heading westwards from Niger and Chad. We are requesting the Ocerans expedite the border clearance process.

We have given full permission, and will send troops to clear the roads to the military facilities to clear up the traffic.

Live update on the Chuvash rebellion

As the much-publicized "terror march" moves toward the provincial capital of Cheboksary, defending rebels have begun to realize that the Tsar will not negotiate, and that it is only a matter of time before they are openly engaged. Some have fled with their families, hoping to reach the border before being apprehended by the government. Most, however, have stayed behind to prepare defenses and fight, hoping that their example will inspire resistance Empire-wide. Barricades consisting of cars, furniture, and wooden pallets have been constructed in the city center, and concrete barriers have been deployed to slow the advance of tanks.

As the mutinous forces were organizing their defense, the silent tension of the capital city was shattered by a series of government mortar strikes, targeting the central barracks where the hostages are believed to be held. No major buildings have been destroyed, but several dozen rebels are dead, as well as a number of civilians. The mortar strikes carried on for much of the night, and resumed in the early hours of the morning, testing the resolve of the defenders and straining their morale.

Oceara wrote:We have given full permission, and will send troops to clear the roads to the military facilities to clear up the traffic.

Can you set up refueling areas alongside your highways? These trucks are sucking up fuel like crazy. Chad has temporarily closed their border for one hour to allow the congestion to clear up. Niger is also closing some roads and border checks to clear up traffic.

Yes, we'll send fuel trucks and such to pull up to the sides of the road to refuel.

Additional information coming in live

The leaders of the rebel forces, along with several top lieutenants and two guards, have been found dead in their chambers at first light. It seems as though the previously mentioned mortar strikes were only a diversionary tactic; distracting defenders so operatives of the Lucijian or Orsonian government could slip in undetected. This marks a major turning point in the rebellion, and will surely send a message to future conspirators about the risks of defying the Tsar's authority. The rebels are still committed to defending their positions with honor, but it will no doubt be much easier to break their resolve with key authorities now eliminated.
