I did it ! I took up the sword to spread Catholicism and faced off against the horsemen of the apocalypse and barely survived a 101 nuclear onslaughter.

The Horsemen of the Apocalypse are hard to beat in either the Nuclear or Zombie events. I know them quite well.

It was quite uneventful for me, I was dead early on and didnt have my phone to defend myself for a full day. But, the Zombie Apocalypse is in a month so that should be super fun.

Are we going to Zombify any regions in particular or will it just be a vulgar brawl.

Hey guys forgive my recent absence, due to some short staffing at work, I'm working 7 days a week for the next few weeks. I'll try to be on as much as I can but I've been f*cking beat lately.

By the way, I'm still waiting on the debate from the conclave on the matter of the Charter of Rights and what we are to do with it. If no one says anything, I'll call for a vote to ratify it. If no one votes on it, I will break the 0-0 tie and it will become law. So get on it Scribes.

No worries! I’ve recently gone back to University and with it being my final year I’ve got a ton of work to do so my ability to do NS has been reduced and get to work on all the essays I’ve got to write and all the reading I’ve got to do...

Alright, there has been more than enough time given for members of the legislature to make their cases for or against the regional Charter of Rights. None other than Scribe Zartavaria has used that right as of this point.

I now officially call a vote to either:
1. Approve and enact the Charter,
2. Rewrite the Charter to better suit the region.

Scribes will have 24 hours to state their vote on the RMB before a final decision is called. If voting for revision, please also state what you would see changed about the Charter.

Should the Conclave vote to revisit the Charter for editing, I as High Priest will take on the duty of making any agreed upon changes made by Scribes, and creating the new factbook for it.

I approve the charter of rights. I think it’s a smart move.

So... the official count on the vote for the Charter of Rights, of 4 potential votes, is 1 vote for reaffirmation, and 0 votes for reform.

By the power invested in me as High Priest by the Eye of Abydos, I hereby decree, on this day, Tuesday, Octeber 1, 2019, that the Charter of Rights, previously passed by the Conclave on February 1, 2019 and signed into law by High Priest Zartavaria on February 2, 2019, is reaffirmed as a binding legal document for the region.

I will create a factbook for the Charter and will post the link on the RMB. I reccomend to the Grand Luxarch that after the link has been posted, it be submitted onto the world factbook alongside the Eye of Abydos, the Abydos Guilds, and the Abydos Gateway.

This is a grand day for Abyods! There can be no debate now. No doubt in the mind of any citizen of Abydos that this is our bill of rights.

These rights will now stand for all of time in Abydos and I, as High Oracle, will promote these values to the best of my ability.

Votes last for 24 hours unless ALL Scribes have voted. None the less, congratulations on the victory for the Bill of Rights Reaffirmation.

I'd Say that one section in particular needs reworked. This passage caused considerable damage as it is worded for dealing with resignations of officials who dont expressly say they have resigned.

§4.2 All nations have the freedom of mobility. Meaning that any citizen nation of Abydos may remain in or leave either the citizenry or region of Abydos without penalty, unless expelled. And so too may any nation re-apply for citizenship without penalty, unless they left the region or citizenry as a result of exile.

Fair enough. How would you like it reworded? I don't think minor clerical edits - so long as they don't change the fundamentals of the passage - need conclave ascent. So I can make the clarification.

I think the intent of the passage was to fit with the Axiom "Abydos is forever your birthright." So as long as we keep to that general idea, we can work it around a bit.

I believe the line.
4.2 All nations have the freedom of mobility. Meaning that any citizen nation of Abydos may remain in or leave either the citizenry or region of Abydos without penalty, unless expelled. And so too may any nation re-apply for citizenship without penalty, unless they left the region or citizenry as a result of exile.
Interferes or causes the need for an updating of a phrase within the citizens guild.
"voluntarily left or by law removed from Abydos."
On the topic of being a citizen. Does it mean left the region or left the citizens guild. If it means the guild then the preceding statement in the bill of rights is lawful. If it means the region then this bill either violates the citizens guild and in turn the eye of abydos , or it warrants a rephrasment in the citizens guild.

Edit: Also if it means region then by definition the Ancient Greek Kingdoms is not eligible as grand luxarch and its name has already been struck from the list. This should warrant him no longer being the Grand Luxarch like it states in the bill of rights.
Another edit: this also means that any thing passed under his name since he left should be struck null and void. Or since his name was struck from the list.
Either wag there is no way he can be grand luxarch and not be a citizen. So how much is struck null and void would be dependent on whether the phrase "voluntarily left or by law removed from Abydos" means leaving the region or guild.

Nope. Your argument here is that any legislation passed under him should be struck from law is completely wrong.

The Grand Luxarch has very little to do with passing laws that’s down to the Conclave and High Priest and furthermore, any law that has been passed by the Conclave and givin the High Priests signature can only be removed of law of Abydos though a repeal.

Simply stating that because he has an issue with the way Abydos was at that time and he left, rather dramatically, does not mean that legislation under him should be squashed from Abydos.

Regarding the Grand Luxarch issue. I will always call him Grand Luxarch Ancient Greek Kingdoms or former Grand Luxarch as he did hold the title constantly, just as when our current Grand Luxarch will receive the same treatment once his time is over. The only way he could possibly become Grand Luxarch again is if he returned to Abydos, begged for forgiveness and have his name in full standing in the Citizens Guild and have to start from the bottom once again.

In conclusion the fact that he left Abydos has no reproductions on the laws that were created under him. Regarding Grand Luxarch he could hold the title again but he would have to start from the very bottom and work his way up. But let’s be serious the chances of that happening are little to none.
