Hello all! Here's a brief introduction to my nation's history and it's general foreign/domestic policies. My nation is a representation of Russia in the what-if scenario of greater Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War. As you'd expect in this scenario, the White Army won the civil war. However, due to the extreme division and lack of a coherent unifying ideology among the Whites, Russia broke apart into many fragmented regions with a rump state left in the heartlands. During WW2, the divided Russian states had to set aside their differences to beat back the Nazis. Their alliance was spearheaded by the Church, which became very influential during the war. Following the war (and an allied victory), a peaceful referendum reunited much of the former Russian lands, with other states maintaining their independence. Some small wars and skirmishes between these states still continued. In the modern day, Russia's influence is very much lesser than its glory days prior to WW1, but it is recovering to play a larger role in the world.

The Russian state is on paper a democratic republic, but is largely controlled by the Great Holy Rus party, an Orthodox conservative political party that wishes to reunite all of the former Russian lands (mainly through geopolitical maneuvering rather than direct conflict) and has some royalist tendencies. The former Tsars are celebrated, but no official crowning of a Tsar has happened since that of Nicholas II. The Church has immense influence over the politics of the nation.

The economy is a state-capitalist system, with the government subsidizing a large portion of the key industries, but with other enterprises basically being untouched.
