Hail Osiris! Hail the Pharaoh!

Malphe II wrote:Yeah, so most regions similar the size of Osiris have legal or social mechanisms for delegacy transition, the previous Pharaoh legally appointed me their successor, abdicated, and legal rights to the delegacy passed to me. These mechanisms exist to separate an approved delegacy from a coup d'état. Our allies in the Brotherhood of Malice are helping stabilise in the meantime!

Ah I see, Thank you

As well it should. Patriotism is blind obedience. In baseball you have to think outside the batter's box.

I do not know of this “baseball” that you speak of.

Used to. Both RP & ERP. Don’t really have the time or energy for either these days, though, as what little bit of free time I do have lately has been going into playing ESO.

These nation trading cards are quite fun when you get a telegram from someone looking to buy a card off you.

They spent effort forcing the value up on the card and then message me looking to buy it for 1/40th that value.

This telegram exchange has gone on long enough that I'm not sure this guy actually understands basic economics. Acting like the card is worthless and then not giving up trying to buy it....

There are only 4 copies of this card and they have 2 so if anyone wants to help me tank the price of this card out of spite, that could be fun! Or alternatively force them into a bidding war so they pay the price it's worth.

the flag in the nation page ruins the banner smh.

Question of the Day:

Who is the wealthiest person in your nation?

Tethys 13 wrote:My answer:
Shakar Mindstorm, Commander of the Order of the Shining Hoard. Though a lesser order, they have accrued a considerable amount of wealth by running almost all of the gambling establishments across the Grand Libraries, and most of the resulting wealth ends up with their Commander. Shakar is an immigrant to Tethys 13, originally hailing from the Dragonian Alliance, where they were largely unsuccessful in their favourite activity - battles of wits. Though still brilliant, Shakar could not come close to matching up to many of their peers, but nor did they want to go somewhere where their mind was so far beyond the locals as to make the contest pointless. They found an excellent middle-ground in Tethys 13, As the Tethysi are renowned as great thinkers, but are not as insurmountable a challenge as Shakar's fellow dragons. This is how the Order formed - Tethysi who wish to match wits with the dragon join the Order, but must put forward earnings (particularly shiny imported things) to partake in said challenge, with their ante being added to the hoard if they are defeated. These battles can take many forms - general knowledge quizzes, riddles, poems, tabletop wargames, collectible card games, and many others. That is not to say Shakar is a layabout - they are an avid scholar, ever seeking to refine their mind and often venturing out in search of hidden lore or shiny things, though their income from those activities is around average for the nation. Some of the other members of the Shining Hoard are among the highest direct earners however, though that is still not even twice the income of the nation's poorest.

Tethys 13 wrote:Question of the Day:

The Dark Lord is officially the richest in the realm, though some local dragons dispute this, their claims cannot be verified due to the tendency of tax collectors going missing near their lairs.

The Dark Lord personally owns and runs many of the oldest enterprises in the land, owns the largest chunk of land in the kingdom, and possesses a myriad of artifacts from millennia of adventuring. Not to mention most of the technology being designed by him, all nobility paying him a direct tithe, and possessing enough weapons to arm everyone in the Alliance thirteen times over.
