Those golden eyes, I don't know why, but they just hooked me. I only was in love with her eyes... and her hair... not her! No, not me, sir. Not me. I don't like girls at all. I just haven't met the right guy yet. Suddenly, I feel like something's... off. It... didn't take me too long to notice that I was just smiling. Softly. While I looked at her beautiful red hair and gorgeous golden eyes.

Antonios wasn’t fazed by the joke, having already been briefed on the Generalissimo’s eccentricities by the Ministry of Intelligence. The mad man faked his own death during the last banquet for God’s sakes. Furthermore, good chefs were hard to come by in the Alaskan wastelands so it was unlikely harm was going to befall him.
As he received the documents and golden pen, he appreciated the gift and thanked his host, but sighed under his breath. Why would anyone in their right mind sign anything in this setting. It’s all wrong. Where was the intimacy of a one on one between leaders.
Taking a swig from his Potashkaya Premium Vodka, he outright rejected the military alliance and passes the stack of papers along, though he keeps the free trade agreement. After a thorough review, it is plain as day that the Potashkayans want to be part of the PanAmero Zone since the FTA is nearly identical to PAZ’s. He signs the document, passes it back to Ravi, shakes his hand and returns to his seat.
He glances at his watch and sighs. “Γάμω... We still have another hour until the real show begins, whatever it will be...” he says under his breath.
Anna laughed softly for a second as Sophie seemed very quick to apologize. She couldn't help but get lost in her beautiful blue eyes and red tentacle hair. Something about this woman was driving her mad and she had to find out what exactly it was lest she risk going insane.
"Yes... I would very much assume so...."
She kept her smile warm as she looked at Sophie, for a second leading to an awkward silence of some kind. She snapped herself out of it though as Kingsely began to wonder what the heck was going on, speaking to try and make the situation normal again.
"Well... if that is all then it was nice to meet you Madame Pearson...I-I mean Sophie..." She was beginning to stutter, her eloquent speech skills flying out the window for her as she talked to Sophie. Her face went totally red after she realized it though, embarrassed that she let herself speak with such inaccuracy. Amanda meanwhile looked up, seeing the spectacle and once again rolling her eyes.
"This is ridiculous...." she murmured. Anna, thankfully for Amanda, couldn't hear it though. She was too busy trying to rectify the situation.
"A-Apologies..." She said to Sophie, Kingsely at this point unsure exactly what to say or do with this anymore. He looked over to Sophie.
"Apologies for this, she is probably just tired or something." He then looked over to Anna who merely nodded in agreement, giving an awkward smile and laughing a bit.
"Y-Yeah... it is true that I didn't get much sleep last night." She said, her smile going back to warm and caring. She nodded in thanks to Kingsely for helping her out there.
Erwin felt a certain pride in what he was doing here. He had never had a diplomatic meeting of this type and it was a serious undertaking from the start. He felt that being himself would be the most natural of approaches, and it seemed to have been the proper choice. He wondered how different things would have gone if he has acted overly formal like most monarchies of old. He was pleased nonetheless.
Erwin observed President Thompson as she looked over and (OOC I presume) signed the parchment (please correct that obvious powerplay if its wrong.). Hiei took one copy for Scherzinger, and left the other copy with Ariana for their records and whatever else they may wish to use it for.
Erwin admittedly expected some sort of picture to take place. In previous reads on diplomatic meetings, nations tended to take pictures of their events for the press and textbooks amongst other things. He was somewhat surprised that Ariana didnt even mention a picture, and admittedly was relieved by it. He was not a photogenic individual.
While they made their way towards the Grand Hall, he stopped when he heard Ariana address them both by name. He was somewhat surprised at this request. Nobody really took too much an interest in the nation, or its culture, or it's people. "Well sure, but ShangXiang is an incredibly large prefecture. I assume you just mean the capitol city though. I am happy to grant this request President Thompson. Though i must ask that if you have any questions or observe something that you believe needs improving, please let me know. The citizens dont always tell us every issue they have. We can only fix the ones they mail us about." Erwin said. "Would you like to do this before or after the banquet?" Erwin asked, turning around to speak directly to Ariana.

First Polls Released: Iwatani With a Small Lead Against Schnee
The first polls for the upcoming January Election have just been released and Iwatani, the current incumbent, has a small lead, leading 44% to 42% for Schnee. Senator Ondor currently has 14% of the votes, based on over a hundred people who participated in the survey.
Schnee, a current Specialist in the Ventuan Army, was definitely seen as the potential front runner between herself and Ondor and many believe she will collect a lot of votes between current and former members of the armed forces. Iwatani, who currently has a 63% approval rating, will be running for the first time as she was formally placed as Chief of State during the Republican transition to the Alliance.
The election is still about five months away so anything can change but we will keep you updated on a weekly basis.

The 2020s brought chaos and uncertainty to the nations of the world. The combination of a global pandemic, eroding global supply chains, the Russo-Ukrainian War and a global recession brought the world to it's knees and led to the balkanization of global superpowers. Smaller nations weren't any luckier with military juntas making a comeback in an attempt to maintain stability through force. While Russia and China have slowly pieced themselves together by the 2040s, the once mighty American Empire has shattered along regional and socio-economic lines. While democracies are starting to see the line at the end of the tunnel, autocracies remain unchecked in the meanwhile until the West can renew its alliances. A new world order is about to begin, and the new nations of the earth will seek to adapt and prosper, lest they perish into obscurity. |

Below is a list of all possible events that could occur in the roleplaying world of the New West Indies. All of these events are determined by the Nwi roleplay committee. These events will effect the general direction of roleplay in some way, and we highly implore nations to keep them in mind when writing their roleplay posts.
Events are determined in one of two ways. The first way is through pre-established roleplay, which means that an event could be decided by a roleplay post written by a member of the New West Indies. If said post can garner a reaction from the international community, it will be announced as an event. How long the event lasts is determined by the nation(s) in question.
The second way is through the Roleplay Committee itself. Certain events that affect no specified nations will be announced at random (such as recessions) OR at a pre-designated time (such as seasonal events). If the committee decides an event must start within a particular nation, the Committee will ask that nation for permission. For example, the committee may ask a nation on a fault line to roleplay an Earthquake. If the nation agrees, it will be counted as an event, and if the nation disagrees, the event will not be counted.
As previously stated, events of this nature can occur at random or in specific time ranges.
PLEASE do not ask the committee for certain events to begin.

Wait a second. Did she just... Did she just refer to me as Madame? Madame? No... I'm just going crazy. Maybe I'm focusing on her hair and eyes too much... I look back at her, and I feel like I'm looking at someone... cute. That doesn't mean I'm into girls, though. Hopefully not... but the more I look at her the more I think of a cute person. Why does everything have to be so complicated?! I don't get it at all! I try to breathe again, albeit slowly this time. Very slowly to not hyperventilate... after all, why would I not hyperventilate?! I just got addresses as "Madame Pearson" by the goddamn Prime Minister!
I began to relax a bit. Hopefully it meant that I was trusting her more...
I heard Amanda say that this was ridiculous or whatever, but I didn't give a damn about what she thought, so I returned my sights to Anna's face while I played with my fingers to pass the time. I chuckled when she mentioned her lack of sleep, because I was exactly the same in that regard. I didn't get good sleep at all... I mean, videogames aren't going to play themselves.
"So..." I said, with a significantly more confident tone being present in my voice. I felt like I was at home in my usually extroverted self. "Um... so... let's order some food and... have a chat! Yeah!"

Anna couldn't help but blush as she heard Sophie's laugh, it was so pretty and eloquent sounding. She clearly was a charmer even if it was unintentional on her part. Anna noticed the mood shift on Sophie, going from being nervous and timid to being rather confident and excitable. She couldn't help but to continue smiling warmly.
"Of course." She said, her voice soft and happy. Kingsely knew Anna was quite Young, the youngest Prime Minister ever in fact, so of course she would have such emotions still. The Waiter came by to take orders, once he finished Anna looked over to Sophie.
"So? Sophie, how are you enjoying Saint Marks? I assume you are in your final years since you do look a bit older..." She paused for a second though, quickly correcting herself.
"I-I mean you look older in comparison to the other students! Y-You are still very young... v-very pretty in fact!" Anna covered her mouth, unsure of what the hell she just said. Kingsely's eyes grew wide for a second, looking over to her in confusion. Anna calmed herself down.
"Apologies once again... I just didn't want you to take me calling you older as an insult, that's all." She gave a smile but in her head she was utterly guilt ridden, how could she do that? The Prime Minister calling a woman old... surely this will make its way to the media.

As the men both took their seats, the Doge couldn’t help but admire the Emperor’s study. He couldn’t quite pinpoint the architectural style, but never the less, they seemed to have similar tastes.
“I am curious as to why His Imperial Highness wished to have this audience. While it could simply have been an apology for the devastation caused by the rebellious elements in the Imperial Star Fleets, you could’ve have simply wiped your hands clean since the responsibility is not entirely your own. Further more, financial compensation is not needed. The rogue admirals clearly wanted to make a nation of their own considering they rapidly rebuilt all that was destroyed. Hell, our colonial infrastructure on Callisto, Antiope Minor and Hippolyta have been upgraded and are now the gold standard among Terran space colonies. No... you and your nation desire something more from us and you’ve peaked my attention”, the Doge said with a smirk.
He reached over for his brief case and pulled out a bottle of Amarone fella Valpolicella and two glasses.
“Care for a bit of wine?”, the Doge inquired.
"I... am enjoying it just well." I snickered, and smiled genuinely. It wasn't a smile brought about by awkward social interactions or anything like that, no. It was an actual genuine smile. I enjoyed her presence quite a bit. Don't know why, but I did...
"I like the University. And I like the people in it. They are just so cool!" now that I think about it, should I tell her what I'm majoring in? Or wait for her to ask? I want this convo to continue on and stuff, so I'm going to wait until she asks me.
I became slightly confused when she mentioned my age, nobody called me "old" like that before but I'm sure she didn't mean it to like... tell me I'm old. Old as in if I looked anything more than 23. But I noticed she began panicking, so I grabbed her hands in order to calm her down a bit. "Hey! No! Don't worry... it's fine! I know what you meant! Also..." I stopped for a bit. She called me beautiful and I began blushing. Oh God... "Thank you. I think your hair is pretty, too."
She profusely apologized, but I kept a smile on my face just by staring at her beautiful hair. My brain wanted to twiddle my fingers around her hair so bad...
"No! No, it's fine... again, I understand what you meant! And I didn't take any offense to it. Don't worry, Madame West..."
Anna liked seeing that Sophie was seemingly enjoying herself. She didn't know exactly but she liked it when Sophie was comfortable and happy, it made her feel warm inside. Amanda grumbled slightly when Sophie said that the people at Saint Marks were "nice people" and all. Anna could agree with Amanda honestly, the children of rich bureaucrats taking from the poor of the nation. Even so Anna remained silent on it, merely smiling.
"That's great to hear!" she said with a smile before the awkwardness began. Though something would happen that would somewhat shock everyone at the table, but Anna most of all, as Sophie grabbed onto Anna's hands to calm her down. It was common for Anna to get somewhat flustered in private, going on long tangents to try and fix a word she said or a phrase that was taken out of context. Though nobody had ever really calmed her down like this before, it was nice... really nice. Sophie's hands were soft, delicate almost.
Anna responded when she said her hair was pretty.
"T-Thank you.." she said, smiling awkwardly at her. As Sophie tried to reassure her Anna merely stopped talking and listened.
"O-Oh... I see.... well thats good... very good..." Anna couldn't shake the smile of her face as a blush started to form. This was going to be very interesting. Kingsely motioned to Amanda, the two of them getting up to go talk for a second, leaving Sophie and Anna alone at the table for a minute.
"Yeah! See? It's all good between us! No beef!" My smile was still there, with no signs of leaving. I was still blushing a bit, but it was barely noticeable. I was still holding her hands, they felt soft... and nice. They felt like touching a very soft pillow. It felt nice.
The two other people for some reason left for a second but I barely noticed it as my eyes were locked with Madame West's. It felt like... watching pure gold. But instead of gold, it was her precious golden eyes. I wanted to talk to her, see if... nevermind. Too early to determine that... the food arrived, and I was happy since I could eat a good Spiedskan-style fish pizza. I didn't know what she ordered, though.
"So..." I said before munching on the pizza. "Anything you want to tell me? Orr..."
Anna barely even noticed as the other two left, too busy paying attention to what Sophie was saying. She smiled warmly towards her as she assured her she was fine.
"I-I see..." It was clear that Anna came from a much more formal background than Sophie did, her speech patterns and usual mannerisms reflecting the pristine nature of the West Family overall. Even so though she was found by the people to be relatable, her undying kindness and determination for them is what got her where she was today. A fighter for the working class that came from the one-percent, what are the odds of that.
As the food arrived Anna noted the pizza sat before Sophie and before her sat a plate of Arancini, little fried rice balls that she found herself loving from young age. She looked up to Sophie as she spoke, seeing if there was anything else she wanted to say. Anna blushed once more for a second, unsure how to answer.
"Um...." She didn't know how she wanted to put it, she wanted to see this person more. She was just so interesting. Though they just met and she didn't want to seem weird.
"Well... this might be a bit odd.. but I think you're... you're a very interesting person..."
She didn't know where she was going with it until she remembered about something that she needed to do. She needed a helper around the office, not necessarily an assistant or anything but someone to help her with her workload. Thankfully the job didn't really involve much when it came to politics and it would allow for Sophie to make some money and allow for Anna to get to know her better.
"I-I would like you to come work for me... a-as sort of an Office Manager... now it doesn't involve much on politics so there is no worry there... I would like to get to know you more though.... It would be an honor to work with you." She smiled to her somewhat warmly and yet a bit awkwardly as well as she handed her a notebook, simply all it was was a few pages on what the job would entail and there was a bunch of blank pages behind it for if she decided to take the job. This was a bit unorthodox and all but Anna would make sure she got her way through it easily. Besides she was pretty sure the two would spend more time talking than anything else.
"O-Of course no need to answer now... you can take a few days if you want..." She looked quicly back down at her food as Amanda and Kingsely returned. Kingsely nodded the notebook by Sophie and smirked, he knew exactly what Anna was planning. Amanda meanwhile didn't care, sitting back down and wondering why the rich girl was still there.
I raised my eyebrow, confused. She was the one being stuttery now... reminds me of myself from a few minutes ago. What did she have to say? Of course I'd listen to her attentively, I liked how pretty her voice was. I won't take my mind off of it. As she began to speak, she mentioned something about being odd. Something about being odd? What! No! She couldn't be odd. She's a sweet lady, I doubt she would say anything odd...
As soon as she said "You're a very interesting person" I felt my hearts stop for a second. W-What? It's only been like... a half hour and... she called me an interesting person. What does that mean? Am I interesting to her in a good or bad way? What about a neutral way... this is all so complicated. But she herself said I was interesting! Does she want to analyze me... like I'm just an statistic... or maybe in a good way? I have to stay optimist, but... why would she think of me positively? I'm just a uni student that plays videogames! Nothing more!
I stared at her, completely confused. I still didn't know what she meant by interesting. Hopefully it was in a positive manner, because I'm just a uni-

Oh my God, oh my God. Office manager? What?! No. THIS IS A DREAM! It has got to be... Oh God. What do I say to this? What the hell do I do? Oh man... I just stood there. In... well, shock. What else?! The PRIME MINISTER just offered me a job! She just offered the person who is perhaps the least qualified out of the entire restaurant a job in an office!
I rested my head on my hands while murmuring "What do I say..." all over and over and over again. My mind... it was just paralyzed. Hella. I guess... I could give it a try.
"I guess... I could do that." I said, with a notable gap between the two parts of my poorly-constructed sentence. "But I have to be on the uni full-time... what do I do?"
Anna looked up when she said yes, though it seemed more like a careful yes than anything else. Of course she would have some concerns with Saint Marks though, thankfully as a high ranking member of the government she could manage to shift around a few things to make room for Sophie to work for her.
"W-Well since I am the Prime Minister I am able to meet with your administration and settle that out... w-which honestly isn't that hard. I know those guys quite well." Her voice was still somewhat stuttery, though she was very excited to work with Sophie.
"I-I am glad you have decided to take this opportunity." She said, her smile returning. Kingsely looked over to Sophie with a smile.
"Welcome to the team Mrs. West, glad to have ya." He was having a ball with the events before him, he loved meeting new people anyways as well so this would be a good chance for him to become even more social than he already is. Amanda meanwhile looked over with suspicion to Sophie. She thought Sophie could be plotting something, she would need to make sure Anna was protected. Besides the Prime Ministers office is a massive Penthouse like Suite that takes up the entire top floor of the Pretannian Spire, home of the Executive Office. All four of them would be working on that floor.
As the Lunch went on Anna would think about what exactly she would have Sophie do. She can't just sit around and talk the whole time. No... of course! She could just do simple things. Moving Files around, getting coffee, etc... perfect! Hopefully things would go well in the future with this.

I blushed instantly when she called me Mrs. West. She just told me that she would arrange things with my uni but I didn't care. She called me... Mrs. West. I'm not even sure if this is a dream or something more than that. This doesn't feel like a dream but it also... does. Why? Well, now it didn't matter because I was now officially working for the goddamn Prime Minister of Pretannia. Wow...
S-She was glad to have me? Madame West was glad to hav- oh it was the other dude. Okay. I just nodded at him, and said thanks out of respect. I don't know, him congratulating me doesn't have the same spark as her congratulating me. Why does my brain decide to play with me like this, man? Why does my brain react positively when it's a girl but not when it's a dude... even though I'm straight? Yeah...
But my hearts started racing again when I turned my sight from Madame West to... the other girl. Yeah. I waved at her, awkwardly. I wanted to ask her if everything was ok, but I just couldn't bring myself to do that.
