The limousine began to move to its final destination. Kiyomi took off her cap and some of her disguise, in order to now appear in her true form.

Kiyomi: “Name a date?” She questioned thinking that this was an offer for some blind date, until it clicked to her, “Oh you mean pick a day, well perhaps in a week or two, I’m awfully busy around this week, I’m afraid this was perhaps one of these free days that I get to spend sometime with leaders and other people, this has been an enjoyable experience to meet you Emperor and Emperess,” she said with a smile.

Kiyomi: “Well a military lady as in she has been disciplined by the military? I mean I’m not the type to send people or children, my children to go to the military especially after my experience, I’ll let my children decide what they must do, I won’t put pressure on what hobbies they choose, just that it isn’t immoral or rather against what a Royalty would do,” she replies, “In the military I learned self-defense in the academy, though I don’t take it as a hobby,”

Kiyomi: “I think the food deal is just fine, we could discuss free trade afterward, preferably I’d rather let the free market run it’s course for the time being,” she says as the limo drives through the city and into the suburbs.

"Yes of course, what did you think i meant by that your Celestial Excellency?" Momo looked at the Empress with a confused look. She didnt mean that any other way, other than the date for the visit to High Charity II. What was Kiyomi thinking about.

"I understand, We ourselves will need a bit of a break from meeting here soon. After this one we have another meeting with a different nation. And another, and so forth, i think after your visit, we will be taking our own break so I can rest properly. As I'm sure you are also aware, we Empresses, you and I, need our beauty sleep." Momo replied smiling.

"Oh, no your Celestial Excellency, we do not force our children to join the military. Our policy is volunteers only. Though, that said, ever since the Great Struggle, our people, mostly men, have felt that it was their duty to serve our nation. Since the Great Struggle, it has become almost a tradition to our people that the men should serve at least a year to honour our ancestors who made sure we would have a country to run. Hiei joined on her own accord. Something about joining may make her more productive. Either way, we are grateful that she has done so. We in the Royal Family believe that if the regular people can do it so can we. I did mine over the last 5 years, my dear hubby has been in service since he was 10. " She clarified

"I couldnt agree with you more. It makes me incredibly happy to hear that you and your people are smart enough to embrace the beauty of capitalism, free markets, and free trade. As so long as that remains, I will be the first to trade with you" Momo said.

Ventus Prime wrote:The first couple rounds rocked the dreadnoughts though shields continued to hold. “Shields up, focus fire on those destroyers,” Halan commanded. “Carriers, launch fighters. The corvettes will handle the enemy fighters.”

The ships began another volley while the carriers opened fire with their anti-fighter turrets, which were able to lock into targets though the lasers could be avoided if one moved at the right time. The corvettes began moving against the enemy fighters while Fang-class interceptors, Tusk-class fighters, and Claw-class heavy fighters began engaging the enemy destroyers.

The Royal-class Carriers, which were assisting the Imperial V-class Destroyers were able to repel the enemy Fighters. They worked excellent as Anti-Starfighter Ships, with dozens of Automated Quad-Laser Cannon Turrets, Automated Rapid-Fire Point Defense Cannons, Automated Antimissile Octets to stop incoming missiles, Nanomissile Blister Pods, with Seeking Anti-missile Interception Protocols, and a short range Missile Deactivation Transmitter to protect them from incoming fire. Unfortunately they had no Anti-Capital Ship capabilities, which glued them to their brother Destroyers.

Some of the Imperial Starfighters shifted their attention to protecting their Destroyers, which only made the attack harder. The rest pushed on, using their Concussion Missile Launchers to assault the enemy Dreadnaughts. Some managed to get through, though they were having troubles due to the amount of enemy Corvettes.

Within the chaos was Schurke Squadron, which consisted of three TIE Fighters, five TIE Fighter Elites, three TIE Defenders, and one TIE Defender Elite. ”Report in.” The Squad Leader relayed into his communications system. One by one they all began reporting in. Their objective was to obliterate the enemy Corvettes and gain superiority over the sector.

They were making decent work, but beginning to get overwhelmed. Luckily a friendly Raider-class Corvette swooped in to assist. “This is Kriegsgans, we’ve got your back!”

“Rodger, we owe you one.” The Defender Elite Pilot responded. Still, the enemy Corvettes were to many. The Kopf Destroyer noticed this and ordered the Emperor-class Cruisers to reinforce the Starfighter line. They joined the three Raider-class Corvettes to even the odds.

The Destroyers and Kopf-class switched their fire from the Carriers to the Cruisers.

The palace itself reminded Raphtalia a lot of Japan, though it some ways the architecture differed, having an almost futuristic look to it. The inside was much the same as Raphtalia was led to the High Monk’s personal chambers. The great doors in front of her opened and there she saw an older man sitting on a small mat. “You may step forward,” one of the Leitandi said.

They then left and the doors closed behind her. “Ah, Miss Iwatani, please come take a seat,” the Head Monk said, motioning towards a mat in front of him. “I hope I’m not being too informal. I’m not able to walk as well as I used to.”

“Not at all, Head Monk,” Raphtalia said as she stepped forward and soon took a seat in front of him. “But please, Raphtalia is just fine.”

“Ah, what a pretty name,” the Head Monk smiled. “I am Takama Rokee, though Takama is fine as well. As you can probably see, we don’t get many visitors out of our system.”

“I’m certainly surprised,” Raphtalia remarked. “This place is certainly-”

“Breathtaking?” Takama smiled. “I appreciate your kind words. Truthfully, the Ascendancy is open to building relations but we mostly keep to ourselves. Our neighbors are...a mixed bunch, to put it lightly. Now, I’m sure there’s much to speak about, but first, would you like some tea?”

Ravi Olé sat in the throne room and awaited his visitors. Noises of jet engines and striking steel echoed throughout the chamber, a servant of the shogun sent towards the window that the sound emerged from, Ravi looked towards him and he backed away, the noise remained. The doors to the palace opened, all of the leaders were escorted inside below the dais, below the glimmering golden gaddi where the Generalissimo resided. Ravi was dressed in the standard, iconic, yet aesthetic, Generalissimo uniform, his chest bearing many medals. There was an air of silence, nobody spoke a word. Ravi stood from his seat and ambled towards the leaders. He approached them and stared at each individually. He treaded towards the open window, slowly reached out and closed it with upmost care. The air was deafeningly silent, closing the window proved surprisingly efficient. He looked back towards the leaders and turned, walking down a hall. Everyone followed.

They approached a unnecessarily large door, plated in gold and encrusted in jewels. Two guards stood in the path, both seem physically fit. One went to open the door, having to apply an abundance of force to push it open, obviously physically straining himself. Ravi stood idle and watched the man push the door. The solemn spoken guard made a struggling soliloquy while propping the gargantuan golden gate agape, "Tending to the tenacious Tsar is quite a tedious task."

The leaders went past the door into a large banquet hall, a table equipped with a purple and black table cloth stretched throughout the room. About fifteen seats totaled on each side of the table, with one on each end as well. Every seat had a name plate to accompany it. Every leader found and took their seat, the seats were made of bear fur and white spruce, handcrafted, sawdust still visible on them. Ravi took his seat on the end, his seat was larger than the rest and had carvings in it. Whether conscientious or coincidence, the seats appeared arrogantly organized. The closest seat to Oopsidroppedmyrightsburg was North italian union, who was a mere seat away. Then, two seats away from him rested Nationalist german empire. Cymiopolis was directly across from Nationalist german empire. Near the end of the table both Ventus Prime and Bucksden sat side-by-side. Kysikstan sat between Bucksden and Cymiopolis.

The table was relatively empty, aside from a few silver candelabras. Ravi glanced around to the personal guards that accompanied the other leaders. (If you attended I automatically assumed you agreed to leave your guards outside the banquet room, along with weapons. I said that in the letter if you are unaware.) The palace guards escorted the other guards outside of the room, one Oopsidroppedmyrightsburgian guard returned with a handful of small gunny sacks, he passed them out to each leader, including Ravi. Ravi took a small pistol out of his ankle holster and placed it in the sack, passing it on to his guard. The other leaders followed with their personal weapons (if any.) The guard walked towards a steel door on the wall, he proceeded to give a rundown of how to properly open the door, seal it, and of the supplies inside. Then, he collected the gunny sacks, "Your weapons will be returned to you after the banquet has concluded, thank you for your time." He saluted and exited the room. Three men in white suites entered the room. One passed out a menu to each leader, the Oopsidroppedmyrightsburg Cuisine contained on the card. One set the utensils out for each, not limited to salad forks, the last passed large glasses out to each leader. Most of the meals on the list are potato based, with a few involving fish, bear, and shark. Another man entered the room with a briefcase, black and locked. He slid it under the table near Ravi.
One of the men in white suits spoke, "Please take your time ordering, we will await your decision." He pulled out a small notepad and a grey pen.

“Call them back,” Halan said. “Victory isn’t necessary, but let’s see how well their ships hold. I want all power to the lasers in one volley. Fire!”

Another volley of lasers came, almost as if they were getting desperate.

A NEW ERA | ANNA INTRODUCTION
PRETINNIUS | REPUBLIC OF PRETANNIA | JULY 2150

"In a shocking national upset, Prime Minister Kingsley has been ousted from power by Political Newcomer Anna West of the Unionists, winning off the backs of the New Conservative and Unionist Coalition and winning a landslide in traditionally blue areas of the country."

Anna West had just won the biggest victory in her career, the Prime Ministership. Since she got elected in 2147 to the Parliament she knew that big things were ahead and though her chances against the other Unionists was low, she still managed to beat the odds, winning a contested primary after the Kingsely Administration's failure to levy the corporations off the backs of the working class. While she herself was the daughter of a very powerful Pretannian family, her down to earth nature and shocking working class appeal managed to win her the day. Though... there was a problem.

She was essentially alone in this. In her first few days as Prime Minister she kept a lot of the New Conservatives that Kingsely had added onto his administration, in fact she made Kingsely into one of her personal advisors. The man still remained popular but he just was not seen as the man to deal with the diverse problems the nation faces as its leader. Within her first few months she had managed to pass through acts that made her an enemy of the corporate elite. Many of her friends from the upper class abandoned her, her father distanced himself to make sure he didn't get ousted as CEO of his company, so much in her personal life seemed to be going to hell. While her political career shot through the roof and her popularity was the highest of any new prime minister since the Johnston Administration of the 2030's, her personal life left her alone. The few friends she had left in the upper class had to maintain a sense of secrecy to their continued relationship with her while her Father, of course he still associated some, but rarely even sent her anything personal anymore. No emails, calls, or even letters. Just silence.

Of course Anna was a strong woman and this wouldn't get to her... or rather it shouldn't because it was. It ate at her, made her feel sick to her stomach with how many of her former friends hate her blindly now. Even so that wasn't very important, she had a job to accomplish. Within the Prime Ministers Limo she and Advisor Kingsley watched the outside world, the crowds walking through the skyscraper lined city of Pretinnius. She sighed for a moment, prompting Kingsley to look over to her.

"Madame Minister... are you alright?"

She looked over to him with a smile. It was funny that she had more authority over him but was over a decade younger, only being 24 years old. She was the youngest Prime Minister in Pretannian History, even from prewar. Kingsely merely nodded, sitting back on the chair. Meanwhile across from them sat Amanda Holland, Secretariat of Domestic Affairs. Her job changed from foreign affairs after West found she had much experience with important policy matters as a result of being so close with Kingsely. She read through the daily news on her holotablet, scrolling through to make sure nothing was a miss. She rolled her eyes as she saw a GUC representative complaining about the new administration to Sun Media, she had no love for the corporatists.

She looked up to see Anna

"Madame you are clearly not alright, what is the matter?"

Anna looked over to her with her warm smile as well.

"Nothing is the matter... I just feel somewhat... lonely.. that's all."

"Ah I see... I assume more of your former rich friends left you?"

She didn't respond.

"Anna.. I mean Madame West.. You mustn't let them get to you like this. They blindly hate you because of their parents. They barely can even form their own thoughts. You meanwhile... you rose up from your corporate shell to help the people. You should be proud."

Amanda gave her a smile to which Anna nodded as they arrived at their location, a fancy restaurant in Downtown Pretinnius. They were there for lunch.

"I guess you're right..." Anna said, not exactly believing her fully but willing to distract herself with her accomplishments for now."

As she got out of the car she put on a smile as per usual, Kingsely and Amanda behind her as they walked in and prepared to eat. Anna was always complemented for being so happy and loving. Though privately it seemed she was still loving but overworked and stressed... maybe something or someone would enter her life and fix it all? Oh who was she kidding... even she knew miracles don't happen like that.

Everything looked nice, certainly. To be frank, that was par for the course for anyone referring to themselves as Generalissimo.
Taking her seat, Heidrun looked over and analyzed the room and its occupants. Some interesting seating choices, but she wasn't going to complain.

She also didn't want to complain when she was handed utensils and a menu. Instead, she merely put down the menu politely.

"Thank you, but I will not be ordering anything."

Is this the end of an era?
    Oxbury | New Spiedska

As muffled breaths of all kinds of people, from simple news reporters who have been for less than a year with the job, the elite of New Spiedska's political circles like SoD Athena Welsh or VP Emily Sanders, or the Chairwoman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Abby Hill, all congregating in a line on the main stage. What was this for? Everyone knew it would be a big announcement for almost the entirety of New Spiedska's executive branch to be present. The election cycle of New Spiedska was starting to re-awaken; after all, the year was 2150, four years into Amanda Miller's, who ruled New Spiedska since 2146, term.

This started filling the room with speculation. Would she announce her candidacy for the elections of 2150 that were just a few months away? Would she announce new nominees for New Spiedska's national court? Nobody even pondered the possibility of Miller retiring. To everyone in the room, it seemed like an impossibility: With one of the most impactful terms ever in the nation's history, and with an approval rate staying at a solid 72% of the population, nobody thought she would deny a potential second term.

The thoughts and, at some point, insecurities of the hundreds of people gathered to hear Miller's words would soon be cleared when a recognizable noise was heard by everyone, as the sounds of Miller's trademark high-heel shoes stepping onto the podium was heard. Everyone was soon ordered to stay quiet and pay attention to what the President's message would be. Hopefully something good. Hopefully.

She cleared her throat first, and then smiled at everyone present in the room, waving at the cameras. What she was about to say would very likely shake the future of New Spiedska's political scene. Hopefully it wasn't for the worst, she thought. Hopefully everyone will take it nicely.

"My fellow New Spiedskans...
Inkling and non-Inkling alike. As you know, we don't let ourselves be determined by our species as we are New Spiedskans after all, first and foremost. The Founding Mothers dreamed of a country that would be respectful to all, that would do everything in it's power to help everyone. No matter if you were a human, or an inkling... or a male, or a female... Charlotte Harper, she didn't care for those things. No. She wanted a country that was free for all, and free forever, right?"

She looked at everyone in the room again, her smile not showing any signs of leaving her face. She then turned to the paper she had, and returned to reading from it.

"I'd like to think that, as the extremely fortunate position of being the President of such a country with so many good faces, with so many hard working individuals and with millions of people I consider the most fortunate person on this Earth for working to..."

She took a deep breath. The news were coming, as a palpable sense of anxiety and uncertainty filled the room.

"I'd like to think I did a good job. I remember when I first arrived to this country, there were still daughters or sons not being able to express themselves or just be who they are at all. There were still humans being mistreated for, well, being human, or corporations taking a stranglehold on the people who can defend themselves economically the least. I'd like to think I fixed those issues, or at the very least, helped lay the groundwork towards a better future for this beautiful country."

"The point of this announcement isn't for everyone to have pity on me. No... it's because I have to announce something."

...

"I will not be running for President of New Spiedska in the upcoming elections."

As her eyes took a third gaze across the room, the reactions of everyone ranged from pure discontent to the most uncaring of apathy. She read from her paper again.

"This isn't a decision I formulated just in the past few weeks. As my term grew older, and the challenges I had to face more complex for example, I did my best to tackle all the issues head on. And whether I did right or wrong in the grand scheme of things, it will not be for me to judge. It will be left for the history books, the historians and the New Spiedskans that walk after us."

"I will not run for the Presidency because with the challenges I had to face. Whether it be an epidemic that could have pushed our country to it's knees, or the morbid threat to our sovereignty that we still have to adapt to... I believe I did well. I believe that what I did was in the best interests of the New Spiedskan people.... but again, it will not be for me to judge."

"One last thing before I depart from this auditorium; I am not more than a mere public servant. I am humbled that I was given the chance to be the leader of this amazing country, of which there is none on this Earth that comes even close to having the charm and mere spirit of happiness and energy of New Spiedska, an spirit that we have triumphantly and proudly had since the beginning of our nation. Because of this, I ask that, please, do not idolize me. Do not treat me as the savior of the world. I am but a person, just like anyone, that was given the tremendous responsibility of leading this, I can't reiterate this enough, beautiful country. Thank you."

The auditorium suddenly exploded in claps, and maybe even some cheering. As Miller looked at everyone while departing from the podium, she could realize something. The next person that would have the inmense responsibility to lead New Spiedska better do it right. She wants to see New Spiedska as beautiful as ever, and will do everything in her right to make it stay that way, even after leaving the presidency.

The palace guards escorted the other guards outside of the room, one Oopsidroppedmyrightsburgian guard returned with a handful of small gunny sacks, he passed them out to each leader, including Ravi.

(Your turn.)

Raphtalia was happy enough to be sitting next to Heidrun, though she did try to exchange hellos with the other leaders. She was a little bothered about giving away her sword, considering what happened the last time all major leaders joined in one place. She then noticed that the representative from the Leitandi Ascendancy was getting a lot of attention. After being nudged in the side by Heidrun, she realized the waiter was waiting for her. “Sorry um...I’ll have the fish,” she said. She wasn’t sure what shark or bear tasted like so she picked the safe option.

Meanwhile, Impa was getting a lot of attention from other leaders, though she hoped it wasn’t due to her ears. She was dressed in her formal wear, certainly standing out from some female leaders who decided to wear dresses. Looking at the menu, she decided to go bold. “Let’s give the shark a try.” Honestly, the fact that they served Bear seemed a little disturbing but she kept that to herself.

There's nothing more cool than being able to just drive around the streets of Pretannia on your own motorcycle while you listen to some 2020's type rock to fill you in with nostalgia that you didn't even have because your parents didn't even exist back then. Heh... now that I think of it, it's kind of funny how I can be nostalgic for an era I didn't even exist in, but hey, the feeling is hella nice, so I'll take it. Now, where was I, oh yeah... I felt like going to one of those fancy restaurants, you know? It sucks to be dependent on my rich mom to exist but at least it has its upsides sometimes.

Okay. I drive by to my apartment, place my moto on the garage and then climb upstairs. A weird sense of energy fills my body, as if I was running away from a lion or just straight up fighting it. Yeah, that's what I would do... anyway, maybe I feel like this because I had handball practice with the girls earlier today. Mikayla, Aubree, Anaya... goddamn. I just realized they're all pretty damn good at handball. Not sure why I still get called the best in the school when it's just not true, man. Just not true! There are way more people better than me at handball.

Ugh, I should stop being a wimp. Final exams are coming through in like one or two months, and then I will have time to grind that sport until I become the best, truly. Until I'm not overrated.

As I enter to my apartment and carelessly drop off my backpack to my bed and hop into the bathroom, the bathub filling up fast, I begin to... sort of drift into my own consciousness. My inner thoughts that I haven't had time to converse with. What is with me? Who exactly am I... am I just the spoiled bratty daughter of a generic multinational New Spiedskan technology company? Where would I be without the money that my mom grants me weekly... do I just... appear strong on the outside to be weak and insecure on the inside... oh man...

No, that can't be it. Sophie, stop that! Stop thinking about that! You are stupid. Just roll with the waves... rollllll with the waveeeess....

...

I fell asleep in the bathub.

How I realized I did indeed fall asleep...? It was painful, actually. But I realized because suddenly a lukewarm stream of wather rushed straight into my nose as I attempted to breathe. Yeah... suddenly, I woke up, feeling panicked and then I begin coughing. Oh lord this doesn't look good. Coughing my soul out to get the water out of my lungs, almost choking, I get out of the bathub and look at my dizzy self, a reflection that is mildly blurred because of the hot waters' stream.

I sigh. I almost died because I fell asleep in a bathub. That's embarrassing. Why do people think I'm cool when I'm like this? I don't know. It just doesn't feel genuine when people say I'm cool because I'm not!...

I should probably get ready. The sun luckily didn't go out, but it was still a windy, warm afternoon in the city of Pretinnius, a city that I had to go to as part of an exchange program. Having money sucks sometimes. I miss my old friends back in Roseport. They were the real ones. My thoughts continue to drift into my conscious, seemingly endlessly.

Time goes by fast. I already have my dress on, typical of me: A blue, varsity jacket courtesy of the Saint Mark University, my beloved aviator glasses, and a black retro rock shirt. As well as my slightly ripped jeans and black boots. I should be good to go...

When I head into the garage to pick up my motorcycle, someone taps me in the back. I turn around, and it was Mary, my next-door neighbor. I look at her curiously, what did she have to say?

She only said a few words, but those few words shook me. "Are you okay? I heard you cough... strongly... and then you just stopped coughing..." she had known about the debacle in the bathub, apparently. I feel embarrassed, a lot... I just nodded silently. "Yeah. I'm kind of dumb sometimes..." the old lady patted me in the head, and looked down.

"You ain't stupid, young squid lady. Happens to us sometimes. Just take care of yourself, okay?" she said with an accent that just screamed older times. She was kinda old, but WAY more intelligent than me. She meant the advice she was directing to me, I knew it.

I nodded again. "Thanks, Mary. I will keep that in mind. I just happened to fall asleep in my bathub while thinking about stuff..." She let out a slight chuckle before looking at me in the eyes and then going back to doing whatever she was doing. I wave at her as I open the garage door and exit, riding my motorcycle.

As I travel through the bright, cheerful streets of Pretinnius, I notice something. While I'm stuck in a red light, I look around and see many banners of different people. Those are the Presidential candidates, right...? Eh, who cares. They are irrelevant to me. I can't even vote, so why would I worry about this country's politics...? That fleeting thought is stopped when the light turns green. Lest I want the car behind me to honk at me aggressively, I rev up the motor and head towards the rich people restaurant, which was sorta near but not much. As I drive towards it, calmly even, the face of one of the candidates is left imprinted in my mind. Why is that? I don't know. She just looks more friendly, I guess. Though it probably doesn't even matter since I'm just going to hop in, eat my food, then hop out and into my house to play some videogames.

As I arrive, I turn down on the motor, and as a result my motorcycle stops moving. I hop out, place it in the parking lot, then look at the restaurant. It's ambience sure gives off vibes that I like. I don't know why, though... I walk in, prepared to eat some food.

Aldo Von Herman was in his forties with slick backed grey hair. He was pale white and had a reddish tint to his eyes. Wearing a nice black uniform that had a few medals in it, followed by a black cape that was dark red on the inside. A gold collar lined the cape and followed over his right shoulder.

He retrieved a Vibrodagger and Heavy Blaster Pistol that resembled a Mauser C69 out from his uniform and placed them into the bag.

Anna noticed the woman on the motorcycle going by as they entered the restaurant, something about her was indeed interesting. Anna didn't say anything to her, just watching as she drove on by as they entered the restaurant. Of course though the woman did look like she went to Saint Marks, the same school West graduated from midway through her first term in the Parliament. Holland looked over to see who she was looking at, rolling her eyes as she ushered the Prime Minister over to her and Kingsely.

"Are you alright Madame West? You seemed off in space for a second there..."

Anna looked over to Amanda and smiled, giving off a sort of awkward chuckle as they headed inside.

"O-Oh nothing! Are we ready?"

Amanda and Kingsely both nodded as the group headed inside the restaurant to eat. As soon as they walked inside the hostess looked up, startled to see the woman she voted for walking into the restaurant. She quickly readied herself as Kingsely walked forwards, smiling to the group.

"Madame Prime Minister! Welcome!"

Anna smiled and waved to the hostess as she led them to their seats, sitting them down to which the Prime Minister thanked her for it.

"You know I really don't know why people love me so much." Anna said with a smile and laugh. Amanda rolled her eyes once more.

"Well you did sort of pull together a near impossible coalition of New Wave Conservatives and Unionists Traditionals.." She looked over to Kingsely forgetting he was there.

"Sorry.." Kingsely nodded, giving a small smile.

"No trouble.. its clear that Madame West here is an exceptional young woman."

Amanda nodded as the waiter came up and took their orders. As they sat there though Anna couldn't help but keep thinking, who was that woman she saw outside. Something was pulling her towards her. She continued to think, unsure of what to do from there.

Shortly after entering the restaurant, I could feel a creeping sensation on the back of my neck. Was that... someone staring at me? Why else would I get this feeling? I looked around, cautious. I mean, I could stand my own ground but it was still weird that someone would look at me. So why would I be scared? I took a very, very slight glimpse back and, oh my god. Wait, that couldn't be her, right?

I was going crazy, was I? There's just... no way this could be a thing. That the goddamn candidate for prime minister or whatever was looking at ME. Me specifically. Why? I was going insane I knew it. There's no way. No. No! My sight seemed to be darted into her for a couple of seconds shortly before I realized the... awkwardness of the situation. I tried conjuring a smile to hopefully make the situation more awkard but it made it even MORE awkward because I could feel my face going EXTREMELY warm. No way I was blushing. No way.

First, I lock eyes with the PM. Then, I try to smile awkwardly in an attempt to make the situation as a whole less awkward. But then I blush, and oh did I mention that I don't like girls at all?! So why did I blush?! Why... I just don't get it.

This situation is already lost. I'm supposed to be confident since I'm the jock of my class but here I look like any other nerd. My reputation with such a political figure is already over, so may as well...

"H-Hey, how are you doing? Pretty afternoon here, r-right?"

Ventus Prime wrote:“Thank you, Minister,” Raphtalia replied, bowing slightly. “We would be honored to be given a tour of your city.” They then boarded the hovercraft.

Singapore, Singapore Prefecture, Kadiya

The hovercraft toted its sharply dressed passengers throughout the vast and sprawling city. In between stops, Minister Paralkar took the chance to break the ice and strike up a bit of friendly conversation. Whilst it was not in her nature to engage in small talk, she pushed her anxiety aside for the sake of treating her esteemed guests well, and making them feel at home in a land far from their own.

The group's first stop was the Gardens by the Bay, a breathtaking location teeming with flora and colorful plant life. Within the park was the Supertree Grove, an array of massive tree-like structures brimming with plants and designed to be environmentally friendly.
"It has always stunned me that in a city so chock full of fuel consuming machines, a space like this can exist to renew the air and show off nature's true beauty... have you any gardens like this at home?"

The tour involves the Botanic Gardens, Orchard Road, Chinatown, and Sentosa Island. When at last the hovercraft begins steering towards the capitol, several hours have passed. Unfazed, Minister Paralkar chirps,
"Well, that seems to be all I can think of for now.. have you enjoyed your visit thus far? If there are any more places you would like to visit, please let me know. If not, we can begin towards Raffles Hotel to book your rooms for the duration of your stay."
She trails off for a moment, admiring the cityscape all around her.
"Singapore... it really is a beautiful city. I could wander for hours in its streets... lose myself in the crowd... at all hours of the day, it keeps its pace... truly remarkable."

Midino, Lanka Prefecture, Kadiya

Within her office, President Takalska was as stressed as ever. Following some private communications, she saw fit to bolster the armed forces. Nova Corporations had developed a plentiful stock of machines with which to defend the Motherland, and her settlements beyond Terra. Kadiya had grown, yes. It had become highly industrialized and wealthy, yes. It stood firm as a democracy surrounded by autocracies, yes. It had defied the Germans, yes. However, it had expressed its military might but twice, both times in defense of allies, both times far from home, and both times supported by friends. There was no guarantee Kadiya would be safe from attack, terrestrial or otherwise. It spoke loudly and defiantly, but if push came to shove, Kadiya needed to be able to fend for itself, especially if her allies never came.

If Kadiya wanted to become a superpower, it needed to show the world it could handle itself. Kadiya had the strongest terrestrial Navy on Terra, though boats and tanks were long outclassed by better technology. Whilst the Space Corps was growing, the majority of Kadiya's military consisted of outdated tanks, planes, and guns. Kadiya needed an overhaul, and Nova Corporations would spearhead her rise. With a few more phone calls and button pushing from President Takalska, Kadiya was to be harmless no more.

Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh Prefecture,
Kadiya

On the outskirts of the massive city, preparations were underway. In the style of Fleetbase Primis on Deimos, a Firebase was constructed outside of Ho Chi Minh City. Far enough away from prying eyes yet close enough to the city to defend it, Firebase Phoenix stood watch. The mechanical sound of heavy hydraulic legs traversing the soil enveloped the near area. AT-RT's and squads of Sentinel Droids patrolled the area, marching to the beat of their own footfalls. A sort of melody was produced, one of marching and wind from the skies above. A symphony of constant presence, a song of steel and strength.

Bangkok, Thaia Prefecture, Kadiya

A Firebase nearly identical to that of Firebase Phoenix slowly rose from the ground outside of Bangkok. Thousands of men and women entered and exited, leaving the structure more fortified each day. When finally construction completed, it was a sight to behold. A massive bastion of steel and guns overlooking the sea, the sentry of Thaia. Due to its location and wonderful view of the sea from the battlements, it was dubbed Firebase Mara, Bangkok's own fortress. Aurek fighters soared above the base, their ion engines inspiring those on the ground to look up in awe. Interceptors lay dormant within Mara's walls, the operators of which hoped they would never use. From Bangkok departed a shipping vessel, its contents several massive creates containing heavy material. What materials remained to be seen, for the ship soon disappeared over the horizon, en route to Nagasaki.

The palace guards escorted the other guards outside of the room, one Oopsidroppedmyrightsburgian guard returned with a handful of small gunny sacks, he passed them out to each leader, including Ravi.

POTASHKAYA BANQUET HALL | Opressionopolis, Oopsidroppedmyrightsburg

Antonios Kapodistrias, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, was chosen to represent Cymiopolis in the Doge's place. Having communicated with the Potatownians of Oopsidroppedmyrightsburg on many occasions in the past, the MFA was not surprised by the gaudy appearance of the Generalissimo's palace. For all he was concerned, he just wanted to enjoy his meal, chat with the other delegates and leave this frozen wasteland as soon as possible. Seated across from his was Aldo Von Herman, Mhar's replacement as Supreme Commander of the Imperial Fleets. Having lost a nephew himself in the Battle of Callisto, he did not know what to feel of his presence, but pledged to at least hold an amicable facade while to Doge was settling things in the Nationalist german empire. Soon enough, a guard confiscated his ivory handle .44 Magnum. The other guests seemed surprised that such an unassuming man would be carrying such a side arm, but they clearly don't know enough about Cymiopolitans and their love for things to go boom.

When asked about his choice of meal, he ordered a Vodka water made with Potashkaya Vodka Reserve and a Moose Goulash with a side of Yukon Gold mashed potatoes drizzled in Kodiak gravy. In the back of his mind, he was worried about the events that were to unfold later in the even. He had been briefed by the Ministry of Intelligence to go along with it and that no one would be harmed in the process. Curse that wicked Alexandros Ypsilantis and his crooked morals. While the Minister of Intelligence may have an excellent track record in getting results, Antonios always wishes that someone with a bit more honor would have been chosen for the position. As he took a sip of from his glass, he breathed a sign of relief that this horrendous display of wealth and power would have some benefit for the Most Serene Republic.

Anna noticed that she was staring for a bit too long, quickly looking away and turning back to Amanda. Amanda looked over to the girl for a moment, recognizing the university uniform and rolling her eyes.

"Do not tell me you are falling for a woman from the upper class, do you want to ruin your image?"

Anna rolled her eyes back.

"I know I know..." she said. Though before they knew it the girl was walking over to their table. Anna looked up to her and waved.

"Hello!" She said, seemingly her nerves went away as she spoke, activating her politicians charm to an extent.

Amanda meanwhile somewhat ignored her, she never had the highest opinion of the rich and powerful unless they made efforts to change like Anna.

Kingsely however smiled to the woman, nodding to her.

"Hello Madame! Is there anything you need?"

“Ah yes, Anima City has its own, but not as big as the one here,” Raphtalia said, taking in all the sights.

By the end of the day, she was surprised the Prime Minister was still going at an even pace but she was glad that she was enjoying herself just as well. “In many ways, this city reminds me of home, but it has its own charm to it. Anyway, I apologize if this ended up eating into our meeting time...”

I somehow found myself at the table, looking at her eyes. Her yellow, golden eyes. Very round eyes and... very... very cute. And her hair... it was red, reminds me of a flower... and flowers are cute... and her hair is cute... red hair... golden eyes... I couldn't hold it anymore and I took off my glasses and looked away, in sheer disbelief. It was just her hair and her eyes, I didn't find her cute! I am straight. I don't like girls!... and I still looked at her. I'm pretty sure more than 10 seconds passed until I could muster up the courage to say even a single word. to her.

Stuttering, obviously, I could barely formulate a coherent sentence. But I tried my best...

"s-s-so, uh... yo-you the lady th-that postulated f-for pm, r-right...?" I said, in-between painfully sharp stutters that made my conscious ever so cloudier. I felt light-headed, barely could think straight. I shouldn't be feeling this! She is a girl! Why am I feeling this? It's probably the fact that she's a very important political figure... yeah... definitely that.... I kept staring at her red hair and intermittently looking at her gorgeous yellow eyes.

"There is no need for apology, ma'am. If anything, I should be the one apologizing to you for giving such a long tour" she says with a smile.

Chancellor Augusto Furlan had almost got an heart attack when Generalissimo Ravi Olè passed near the window. He still remembered what had happened years ago, and he was unsurprisingly still as nervous. After the accomodation in the hall, where Furlan could see the reason for the sinking potatownian economy, the Chancellor glared around him. There were officiers from allied nations like Cymiopolis, Ventus Prime or Bucksden that he knew well, new faces from totalitarian asia like Kysikstan and then ... oh. Furlan sighed. Ravi Olè had choosen to put his seat near the representative from the Nationalist german empire. The Chancellor could still remember the german drones flying over Trento or the space battles fought near the Belenos colony. Well, he thought to himself, Augusto, this could be an opportunity to bring home something from this dystopic land. After all WW4 ended and the cold war is becoming a thing of the past. The King wanted to improve our ties with the Nat. Germans after all..
He glanced at the menus. Of course everything was potato based. The Chancellor wasn't really worried about poisoning since, like any high ranking official in the NIU, he was genetically engineered against most common poisons from the Galaxy.
"Waiter, for me five shots of Potashkaya Vodka and some potato- based...", he glanced nervously at Ravi Olè, "... ravioli, thank you".
