I don't want to dislike Trump since he's going to be leading my country in a few days, but I have a very low opinion of him so I'm hesitant to believe he can do anything but screw up. I would not mind being proven wrong, however. I wouldn't mind Trump so much if he wasn't such a stereotypical capitalist and Republican. Doesn't help that he made Pence his running mate (though I suspect that may have been to deter possible assassination attempts).

Nothing wrong with Mike "Jumper Cables" Pence. He may be a texrbook cuckservative and Dahnald may be a textbook civic national capitalist but they're shockingly (pun intended) better than the remaining options.

Doesn't really sound like he had anything to do with it, to be honest.

I don't know, Bernie Sanders wasn't that bad. Sure, he was a Social Democrat but at least he was honest and had a genuine care for the people he supported. That is a rare thing in politicians, and it almost got him the Democratic nomination. But the DNC being about as intelligent as the third generation of a family that practices incest, they shut him down and single-handedly destroyed their only hope of winning by arrogantly believing they could win by popular vote alone.

I won't lie, I would've voted for him. I couldn't bring myself to the polls this year, though. I refuse to pick between an evil woman with dollar signs in her eyes and a bumbling fool and his yokel sidekick. This election was atrocious.

If you ever needed more proof of the failures of democracy, this election was it.

Sanders was limp-wrist joo-joo dudefreestuff panderer trash and "genuine care" is useless when you're wrong, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. If not for policy sake, Trump's victory was of immense importance in terms of cultural impact. Anything that ends with mainstream media "literally shaking" and millennial liberal scum crying is a massive bonus on my book.

You realize you're doing to Sanders the exact same thing that liberals did to Trump, right? Using the worst example of his supporters to ridicule and attack him instead of providing actual arguments against his policies and beliefs. Not to mention the fact that those people you mentioned are nothing more than an obnoxious minority with no real power at all. It's really no better than saying Trump's presidency will destroy America.

With all due respect Imperator, you're really not proving your point with the generational bashing and nitpicking of Sanders' supporters. Sanders had some decent points and ideas. Was he wrong on some things? Absolutely, but he is a man of the people and I can honestly say I can't think highly of someone who couldn't respect him for at least that. Unlike most politicians, he actually listens and cares. Even if he is wrong on several things, it still makes him better than most people in Washington.

I don't want to debate about the election by pointing out how utterly awful Trump is because I'm sure you've heard it all before, and as the election is over there isn't much point in it. I don't want to get involved in that mess because it won't end well for anybody.

All I ask for is for Trump to be at least decent, but I can't help but have very low expectations.

To be honest, I liked Sanders as a nice person despite not liking some of the things he supported, but how he endorsed Hillary Clinton left a really bad taste in my mouth.

He only did that to keep the Democrats from being divided to keep Trump away from the presidency. I don't like it either, personally, but I can understand his motives.

Trump is simply awful.

Sorry lad, but American jobs are being lost as soon as they're apparently made.
Both Macy's and SEARS/K-Mart have filled to shut down hundreds of stores and to layoff over 10,000 employees.

Why, you ask?
They had lower holiday sales than predicted, mostly because competitors like Amazon had online shopping (which went up 17% from last year) and these old fools didn't. It still kind of sickens me. Companies that aren't up to date think laying off employees rather than trying to modernize or improve is the answer...

No no no, I'm not equaling Sanders to his support base, I'm referring to the massive ongoing cultural war. Different candidates had different results in terms of the flow of the war between cultures in the US and the rest of the western world, and it is absolutely positive that the overtly nationalist and anti globalist sentiment defeated everything else including all which I listed. Judging by the voter tendencies across the """minorities""" it's clearly not a matter of "we have a few frindge loonies" and more of a matter of a serious decisive crossroad for what is and isn't socially acceptable and what is and isn't normalized.

You can't end the culture war going on in the U.S. by taking either or extreme, because both are utterly horrendous. The solution is not to be as offensive as possible or to be as offended as possible, because the very reason the latter even exists is because the former is so revolting.

People need to learn that there is a time and a place to be offended, but preaching more hate isn't going to teach them that it's only going to drive more people into the arms of these thin-skins crybabies who just want attention and to be special. There are a lot of reasons American society is the way it is, and there are a lot of things that need to be done to fix it, but driving toward Nazi Germany isn't going to stop the country from going full 21st Century Sweden.

And I personally find it funny when people who are sick people being offended about everything then pledge support for Trump, he gets triggered on the reg. He threw a fit when people said he had tiny hands and rages whenever one of his detractors calls him on his inane comments, calling them idiots and losers.

Even Ted Cruz can take a joke better than him.

I read about that guy, and he's kind of a douche when it comes to Communism. Ironically, he's better as a non-aligned president than he ever was as anyone in the entire Communist party. Still, it's good to have old, dying men finally die so that younger generations with less thoughts about world domination and how to completely eradicate people we don't like and more of Civilian issues and technology.

Too bad Communism is a disease of which there is no cure for.

I haven't seen him "rage" about anything really, just responding with insults. Ted Cruz was a joke himself.

Maybe "rage" isn't the right word, but I think the proper way to handle insults is to either ignore them or joke about them. He does not do either of those things, instead he let's it get under his skin and say stupid, inane things in response.

I don't believe a functioning adult should be so easily offended by mere words.
