The New Duckian Times: Providing New Duckian, Elparian, And International News Since 1904!
As passed on Friday, the New Duckian Times agency has covered the current rewrites of the Elparian Constitution. As of now, the Constitution has been laid out and the cabinet has also been planned. So far, this includes:
- A Prime Minister.
- A Minister of Culture and Domestic Affairs.
- A Minister of Foreign Affairs.
- A Minister of Security.
- A Minister of Roleplay.
- A Poll Master.
However, the Minister of Roleplay is still under debate, but planned so far.
Also to note, the constitution is planned to be massive. This will include a preamble, five individual sections, a secondaries section, an amendments section, and a ratification section. Such Constitution may be hard to navigate, and the New Duckian government believes the creation of a separate set of laws would be easier for new members to read and understand. Not only this, it would allow Judges to have something to refer to when working in the region. What do you think?
The New Duckian Government has taken a temporary leave from work on the Constitution until Monday. The other head of the project, the government of Rophilus, has done the same until Monday or Tuesday accordingly.

Recently, in the wake of fascist riots in nations such as Masimau and Birmingham Island. Not forgetting the fascist revolution that has taken over PyeMcGowan, leaving many refugees stranded in Concordaia. It leaves the question, are these revolutions being funded?
So far, no evidence can be found. However, many of these revolutions have taken place around the same time, and in the same fashion. These riots would start in key cities, violently, target specific government and military targets. Or in some cases, the military itself would be part of the revolution. After this, the nation in question, Kuroria, would endorse these and in some cases directly provide weapons to these. In other cases, Kuroria would sell these weapons via the black market. Devastating but cheap weapons, such as the Ak-74, RPG-7, Tar-21, and many others would be sold directly or smuggled in. Though we may know that Kuroria supports these, it's still in question, is Kuroria the ones starting these itself?
As said, we cannot be sure if it is Kuroria actually starting these, as there is never evidence tied to them. But clearly, it seems that they may. However, how would a small island nation, isolated from any continents, convince a whole nation's military to overthrow its government without any evidence being found? A feat, indeed.
As of currently, no government has spoken out against such events. Claiming of an investigation into this matter, including the government of New Ducklands. Nor has the government of Kuroria given out any official statements saying that these were started by the government of Kuroria. The New Duckian Times shall continue to update on each of these riots, as well as investigate further into this.

Today during the threatening of war from the USUC, a car has rammed into the capital building in Stalin Memorial Building, The new soviet supremacy, killing 24. Including six government officials. The Minister of Defense, Tankov Krasimir Olegovich, was killed. As well as multiple ambassadors of the USUC from close allies such as Ubizeiten, and New Arinia.
The car was a GAZ Corpevchov, commissioned for government use. According to witnesses the car, originally made to pick up the Minister of Defense pulled around to the entrance before turning and ramming into the entrance as the Minister of Defense exited the building and then exploding. The identity of the bomber is yet to be found by the government. Meanwhile, suspicions continue to be made at the nation of Staraya rossiya for funding this. No comment has been made by their government yet.

In the massive wake of allegations, threats, and test launches. The unstable nation of New russia the 3, along with it's allies such as New ireland the 5th, The soviet reunion, Ubizieten and etcetera. Well, finally, Parliment has responded to our calls.
The United Kingdom has sent a fleet of ships in defence of New Ducklands, as well as another fleet to protect nearby Birmingham Island and also Fiji. The fleet includes; HMS Clyde and Tyne, HMS Lancaster, Iron Duke, Montrose, HMS Ark Royal and Duke of the North, HMS Vanguard and Victorious, and also HMS Artful. The fleet plans on staying at New Ducklands, Birmingham, and Fiji for the next two months. Further depending on the situation.
In other news relating to the current situation, New Ducklands has allied with Aclor Isle. But, Aclor is yet to decide if they will intervene. Also, the Unistad Province vote is still underway, if it should become independent itself. Until then, as the U.S.A. works it out with North Korea, New Ducklands shall work it out with New Russia.

It was announced that officially on October 24th, 2017, New Ducklands will drop out of the Breslau Trade Pact that had only taken place last year. The famous quad-pact, a trade pact for oil and military supplies, included the nations of Chuukango, New Ducklands, Corusconia, and Treka-Conland. So, what happened?
After the economy rose back to its original standard after the Summer 2016 crash, New Ducklands' went through a complete economy redo. Due to this, the pact limited oil production in New Ducklands from limited offshore drilling near Gallitzin. The limit left New Ducklands with a bankrupt oil industry running only on government subsidies, which were needed to be directed to other areas.
As stated in the conference at Kent Palace, the trade Pact takes 3% of New Ducklands' oil for 3% of military supplies from member nations. Though, since being endorsed my the United Kingdom for protection, there is no need for this. Therefore the decision took place to drop this bill, but was delayed after the Rossferrian Coup incident occurred. It is unknown how the vote leads to New Ducklands entering the bill in the first place, but now New Ducklands has finally exited it.

Since the change in 1974, the fact that New Ducklands was the only nation in the world to pick an invasive species in their nation as their national animal was considered almost "deranged" by some. But in recent times, Prime Minister Brett Marlow has made it that the invasive species, known for damaging local ecosystems, especially near Kent, have been removed as well as possible.
These efforts involved putting bounties on each Muscovy Duck killed by licenced hunters, capturing them and releasing them in non-invasive environments in other countries, and even becoming pets for some. Surprisingly, the Muscovy Duck has been but eradicated in New Ducklands. As no sightings have been reported of them in the wild since last month. Due to this, the government of New Ducklands has decided that the national animal now is changed to the Mallard Duck. Thankfully, the Mallard Duck is non-invasive and can be found in the wild around New Ducklands, but sadly is the only other current duck species in the wild currently in New Ducklands. Though technically invasive, when they were introduced to New Ducklands they have only helped their ecosystems and benefitted the environment.
The vote today concluded unanimously that the national animal would be changed to the Mallard Duck, as of course, this only made sense. The Mallard Duck will seem to forever represent New Ducklands, has the Bald Eagle represents America, or the Peregrine Falcon represents Corusconia.

Recently after the tensions dropped between New Ducklands and Treka-Conland, Treka is threatened in the face of war, again... After the possibly crazed government of Neolvex threatened war on Treka-Conland. New Ducklands, as usual, stayed out avoiding conflict. Due to this many nations have stepped in on both sides, hoping to either defend the mostly useless nation of Treka-conland of trying to get a share of Treka's territory. Either way conflict is not worth getting the benefits according to a recent press conference in which William VII talked about. The nation The Realm of councilry chose to meet with William over the inpending issues in this possible war tomorrow. Hoping to strengthen relationships between the to William has chosen to meet tomorrow in the capital of the Realm of Councilry. Just yesterday we found out that they had just had a boy inside High Rosenferry Hospital and they had left for Kent Palace to stay with the boy. Sadly, we do not have any pictures of the boy and hope to see the child soon! Usually you are allowed near the property outside the fences but recently New Duckian Police surrounded the area to prevent tresspassers, Police and security have also increased to keep Kent Palace private until the Royal Family decides to reveal the amazing child. William VII: "I would like to assure you that we did indeed do not have any spys within the country, though of what I suspect, its was a framed shooting by a gang, or it was one of our allies doing such. If it was an ally, we were not fully notified of such a shooting involved, but if so, we would not allow of this to take place. Due to the fact these men were not ours, Treka you may put down a full court trial on this such case immidently under mass-murder and trespassing charges." NDT Reporter: "Recently Treka-conland has brought accusations against New Ducklands for many things, due to these they have made many military enforcements within the Pacific area, including "Staging" fortifications and convoys of ships. What evidence do you have to prove of this since we can not fly nearby these convoys, and how do you respond to these mass military movements?" William VII: "Firstly I would like to assure you all, these "mass movements" are more minimal than suspected, secondly on that matter, we have used doppler radar towers used for weather to actually find these convoys, they are 50 miles and have dug into a small island there. If any attempt to attack us is made, we shall arm mines along the shore to prevent invasion, and prepare the anti-missile "Iron shield" defenses. Though we are rather sure that war will indeed not happen." Tensions rise between Treka-conland and New Ducklands after a suspected Trekian spy plane was shot down over New Ducklands just this noon. It was originally thought to be a cargo plane until it barged into illegal airspace and didn't respond to ATC after doing so. It was investigated by RNDAF fighters and found to be a Trekian spy plane, the fighter jets ordered a Anti-Air truck to shoot it down, in which it did. After this New Duckian spec-ops recovered the wreck and indeed did officially confirm it as a Trekian Predator Drone. The government has not yet responded to the issue towards the press though we do know that the pilot was captured and is to be put on a death sentence. And of what we know of now, the court trial is still on-going. What's going on here, war? Why are we being spied on... -Bob Wallis The New Duckian Minister of Defense and son of former New Duckian president (Before government change in the 80s) Lee R. Washington Jr. plans for a possible military thread against The Ducklands. The small territory of Treka-conland, due to this New Ducklands has prepared much of its army due to many "Hints" of a possible conflict between the to. If anything does indeed go wrong Ducklands is prepared, along with its many allies, to put forward sanctions and if required, a possible invasion. And such with this, the Ducklands has prepared its army in many bases scattered along the island-chain. Though Lee may be still stuffed up with the recent but violent riot at the ORDER convention he is still prepared to put forward the Duckland's military might along with its allies. Lee R. Washington Jr. has not spoken to the press about the increased military spending, training, and/testing yet. But from what we can conclude from now is that the military is up, a war may be upon us, and your going to be hearing more jets flying above your house at night. Later will we be in a war? Or is it just a caution we didn't end up needing to take? -Lara Williams Just last evening the government took action to the "ORDER" convention inside Gallitzin City, ORDER is a weapons convention for Military and Personal use. The government found that many of the weapons on display were in-fact illegal and smuggled weapons. Due to this the government ordered (no pun intended) that the convention would be closed for a further investigation. But the members and visitors had a different reaction, when the police came to shut down the convention a riot had started and people were taking guns from the convention and fired it at police. This caused a serious issue for police since the rioters were fully armed and armored and had no intention of surrendering. Due to this Military Police and spec-ops closed the convention and tear gassed the convention center from the roof in order to handle the riot. Over 200 people were arrested and 2 police were shot and hospitalized. 6 members were shot and killed inside the riot as well by other riot members, the government is putting a further investigation into the smuggled weapons and the riot. This isn't the first time a ORDER Riot has gotten out of hand, in 2009 in Trimainia a ORDER convention was terrorist bombed with over 600 dead and 1,250 wounded after a terrorist bomber bombed the convention and most of the ordiance and weapons inside also caught to flames inside. And in 2004 a ORDER convention inside New russia the 3 got out of hand and 20 people were taken hostage after anti-communist terrorists took the convention and killed 64 New Russian Police and Soldiers, the anti-communists also killed all 20 New Russian Hostages, 2 of them being New Russian Generals and 1 being a New Russian Senate. New Duckian Minister Of Defense, Lee R. Washington Jr, spoke to us earlier about the riot and what can be done. He said "This riot at the ORDER convention is showing the world that the ORDER convention often brings crime and terrorists due to its weapons and dense amount of people viewing them. If we are to prevent this we are planning to ban the ORDER convention completly from New Ducklands, for our own safety." I would like to state that our Defense manager Lee R. Washington Jr. is planning to ban the ORDER convention for our own safety, if such we may comepltly ban ORDER from any of our territories as well.
