This is the Malachite Book of Ma'at, a comprehensive handbook to joining and thriving in the World Assembly for the Leaders of newly arrived and resurrected nations alike. 1: Overview

The Order of Restoration (OoR) is an initiative of the Osiris Fraternal Order (OFO) designed to inform nations in Osiris of the numerous benefits of World Assembly (WA) participation, increase awareness of regional awards associated with becoming a WA member, and promote voting on resolutions. The successes of these initiatives will strengthen the influence of the region's nations, increase the regional vote's leverage in the World Assembly, and bolster security for all nations residing within the region.

2: The World Assembly and Your Nation

The World Assembly is a body of member nations/states from across every region in which a member resides regardless of regional borders. It has two chambers: the General Assembly and the Security Council. The General Assembly passes, defeats, or repeals proposed or active resolutions. Once passed, a resolution can be adopted by a nation, but be careful about adopting too few: if your nation adopts less than 75% of all passed resolutions, it loses its vote on future resolutions until it does adopt 75% or more. The Security Council, meanwhile, commends, condemns, injuncts, and liberates noteworthy nations and regions.

The World Assembly is the single most important organization in NationStates outside of the Osiris Fraternal Order itself and there are many benefits to becoming a member nation.

3: Benefits of World Assembly Membership in Osiris

A variety of game mechanics are exclusive to World Assembly members or make some achievements become much easier to obtain:

• Endorsements - Only World Assembly members are able to give an 'endorsement' to other WA member nations within their region. The ability to grant and gain endorsements is necessary for military gameplay in the Sekhmet Legion, building the census statistic for a national badge, proposing resolutions in the WA, and more.

• Influence - Influence is a census statistic like World Assembly Endorsements that increases much more quickly if your nation is a highly endorsed World Assembly member nation. It too has an associated badge for being within the top 10, 5, or 1 percent of all nations. Plus, the more of it you have, the safer your nation is.

• Propose resolutions - Only WA member nations with at least two endorsements from other nations within their region can propose their own resolutions in the General Assembly and Security Council chambers of the World Assembly.

• Name recognition - By engaging in activities like exchanging endorsements with other WA members, joining the Sekhmet Legion, weighing in on the regional World Assembly votes, and being featured as a Restored, your nation gains regional name recognition.

• Increase the Pharaoh's prestige - Each endorsement of our Pharaoh is effectively doubled when they vote in accordance with your own nation on World Assembly proposals; more aligned endorsements increased the efficiency of the region's vote, increasing Osiris's overall political leverage.

• Earn regional awards and ranks - After joining the World Assembly, a member nation can join the ranks of the Order of Restoration by endorsing the Pharaoh and Council of Guardians members, earning them permanent recognition by the Osiris Fraternal Order.

4: Joining the World Assembly

Before having your nation become a WA member state, please consult the following game rule:

Now that you can be confident you're not running afoul of the game moderators, read on to make your nation in Osiris a member of the WA.

1. Go to the World Assembly page by clicking these words. You should see a button that says "Apply to Join".

2. Clicking on the "Apply to Join" button will send an application acceptance email to the email account you provided for NationStates within a few minutes.

3. Your acceptance email will have a clickable link to confirm your membership in the World Assembly. Make sure to check your "spam" or "junk" inboxes if you don't see it in your primary! Some email providers, like Gmail, are more reliable for this email getting to your inbox than others.

4. Click the "Confirm: Join World Assembly" button on the page the link led you to. Congrats! You're all done.

5: Being Restored

Simply joining the World Assembly or the Sekhmet Legion does not make a nation eligible for regional awards. To truly restore your nation in the eyes of the Pharaoh, it must join the ranks of the Order of Restoration as one of the Restored.

To do so without joining the Sekhmet Legion, have your WA member nation in Osiris endorse the following nations:

PHARAOH: Federation of the Resentine Kingdom
GUARDIANS: Tethys 13, Rigels Light, Dragonian Alliance, Saharan Sappho, and Arkadia Universalis

Not sure how to endorse them? Just open the page of that nation then scroll down and click the "Endorse <nation name>" button!

Once you have completed the above steps, your nation earns Restored status and will be permanently featured in this regional dispatch: link!

6: Voting in the World Assembly

Your nation's vote matters in the World Assembly. Especially in Osiris, where our Pharaoh votes according to the majority consensus of its citizens and regularly commands a delegate vote in the top 15 of all regional delegates. Due to its importance, citizens come together in a designated channel of the region's Discord server to discuss, debate, and be notified of General Assembly and Security Council resolutions as they come up for vote.

The Pharaoh's votes are decided by our Citizens, conducted via a vote held on the Osiris Discord server for every World Assembly proposal that reaches vote (with limited exceptions). The Pharaoh maintains the legal right to vote as they will, but is committed to the maintenance of this precedent, and exercises their individual discretion exclusively on resolutions that concern the wellbeing of Osiris, and otherwise will never approve any proposal or vote against the consensus of the citizenry.
