In Palatine players serve the realm as knights through the use of their world assembly membership. A Knight is both a warrior and a steward. Knights hold more significant fiefdoms then ordinary gentlemen and in exchange perform military service as elite mounted warriors.

There are a few types of knighthood in Palatine, which recognize different forms of service and hold different degrees of honor;

Knights Bachelor: The most common form of knighthood and the only form of knighthood outside of the Order of the Grail. Knights Bachelor serve Palatine by maintaining their WA membership in the region and endorsing the delegate.

Knights Errant: The stereotypical questing knight. Knights errant are new members of the Order of the Grail. These knights travel the world demonstrating their valor and chivalric virtue through the the charitable defense of the vulnerable.

Knights of the Grail: The most renowned of Knights Errant make a pilgrimage to Lake Nymue, home of the Lady of the Lake. If they are valorous and pure of heart the Lady of the Lake will appear to them and grant her favor.

Knights Banneret:
Knights Banneret are veteran knights of the grail, tasked with leading others as officers on campaign, carrying the banner of Palatine with them.

Within the order of the grail there are additional honorary titles bestowed upon knights for outstanding contributions in the field;

Knight of the Swan: Accolade of honor for outstanding contribution to Palatine military readiness

Knight of the Girdle: For most active in defensive operations

Knight of the Star: For contributions to training membership

Knight of the Lance: For contributions to training membership.
