Greetings, Comrades
Welcome to the third issue. This is a special issue because we have a new member to the writing team:
Liossalde, a writer who will be updating the DSA on our solar system.Between this issue and the last, there has been quite a bit of activity in
congress.
~Firstly, there was the
Discord Solidarity Accord Act, whichattempted to place the DSA
Discord under official law. Facing much debate,many suggestions, and arguments between Congress Members, the legislation
has been withdrawn by it's author, Solus Unus.
~Secondly, there is the
Discord Resolution #01, proposed by Ivory Rhodes.This legislation attempts to bring the Discord under Charter Law. It goes up
for vote today.
~Thirdly, there is the
MoIRP Restructuring Act, proposed by 
Dekks.This amendment seeks to remove the Ministry of Immigration and Regional
Promotion, replace it with a Department under the MoDA, and place
recruitment under the authority of the Cabinet. It goes up for vote today.
~Fourthly, there is the
Ministry of Justice and Court Restructuring Act. Thisamendment seeks to separate the court from the MoJ, separate the executive
branch from the judicial branch in the DSA, with the court being led by the
High Judge, and have the MoJ serving as the enforcer of DSA law

For about a week, the new official DSA has been open
and the region has also seen their first proposed
legislation as well as RP. This will be our primary
platform for elections, votes, as well as RP. Therefore,
the cabinet appeals to all members of congress, and
those who want to be one, as well as to everyone
interested in RP, to register with the new forum.
Congress as well as map opt-ins are also open again.

Our third interview is with Wileyshire, who is, at the
moment of this publication, the sitting Secretary-General
of the DSA.
⦁ When did you first join NationStates? How did you first
hear about it?
I had made nations in the past for a long time. The first time
was probably in middle school around 2008? I liked it but never
got involved in any regional things so I’d make nations, forget
about them when I got bored of issue answering and then make
another. As far as Wileyshire I made it in 2016 and said that I
was going to get involved in regional things and see how
different it would be to get involved with that stuff. I joined
The Communist Bloc and they were big and cool and made
me realize that regional play and people is what makes this
game so great, but I still eventually forgot about the game
again and CTE’d.
⦁ When did you join the DSA? Were you just looking at
regions when you found us or did you come through
recruitment telegram?
I re-founded in late 2017 and dug through the list of
regions and picked one that was cool and fit my ideology:
The DSA. When I got here the cabinet was Ivory rhodes
and 124mm10 was Sec-Gen. I was hard pushing to do
roleplay and get involved because I’ll be damned if I
don’t have fun and Ivory appointed me the MoRP at the
time. I never did follow up and finish most of the MoRP
things I was wanting to do. It was mostly my own fault
though, and not a big deal. It was still super fun and I
got to see you (Student Loan Debt) get involved and I
definitely thought it was a good idea to let you go for
MoRP unopposed. You’ve brought RP back the way I
was hoping to and I’m glad for that.
⦁ What are some things you've come to enjoy about
the DSA most? A favorite memory?
The people! We might fight from time and yell all about in
the Discord but you guys are some of the greatest people
I’ve ever met and I love debating, playing and chatting
with all of you. As far as a favorite memory, I’m really not
sure. There’s a lot of good memories. I’m so happy I’ve
gotten to play games with all of you outside of NS as well
as within.
⦁ What do you do outside of NationStates? Examples:
what your job (if employed)? Hobbies? Talents? etc
I’m an enlisted United States Air Force IT guy. I don’t expect
staying in the military. It’s not exactly in line with my political
beliefs and being IT I can make a living outside of it fairly well.
I love my jobs though, fixing and building computers is awesome
and I’m hoping to expand my knowledge with them. As far as
hobbies are concerned I play Magic the Gathering and Eve quite
a bit right now. I play a lot of various games both on and off
Steam. I’m not the most talented though. I’m hoping to train
my voice and learn to play an acoustic guitar but I’ve
procrastinated that so much I’m not sure I’ll get around to it.
Maybe someday, though!
⦁ What made you first want to enter DSA government?
What made you want to enter for this cabinet?
As I said earlier, I was hammering hard to do roleplay. I was
posting constantly about this bowling tournament I was
doing at the time within my nation and constantly trying to
get international involvement with it and I enjoyed it. Not
too many people got involved but it was fun to do
nevertheless. Eventually Ivory rhodes asked me if I was
interested in MoRP which was vacant at the time, which was
something I was honestly hoping for at the time. I jumped
aboard as soon as I was able. In regard to my current
position as Secretary-General, I chose to take this position
as it was a position I always hear awful things about and I
wanted to take a position in cabinet again as I had a 1-term
hiatus since my last cabinet position. I figured since most
people didn’t want this position I’d see what all the fuss was
about and it’d be helpful to the region as a whole. So far it’s
not bad! Just a little bit of paperwork is all and that’s not
anything to complain about in my mind.
⦁ Who are some people who you've come to consider
good friends in the DSA?
Oh lord, I’ve gotten so many people here that I consider
great friends and it’s wonderful. To start, Ivory rhodes
was one of the most accepting and welcoming of people
when I first got here and encouraged me to do things.
124mm10 and Solus unus are both friends I trust as
well as you, Student Loan Debt. Gribelt is awesome
and great fun too - especially when we're drinking.
There’s just so many people I could list off but I’m trying
to keep it to a handful. Everybody I named and so many
others are all just so amazing and great and I’m glad
we’ve crossed paths here.
⦁ What are your plans for the future in your life? What
do you hope to be or accomplish before you die? Or more
simply and less macabre, within the next 20 years?
I’m hoping to expand my knowledge of computers as well
as get involved with politics. I haven’t decided if I’d rather
be in some capital building, out supporting those who are
or handing pamphlets out about the system. I could see
myself in any of those places if I’m honest. I’m just hoping
to give this world a net good. Helping people as much as I
can while enjoying life and all that. I want to die saying I
tried. If I failed, that’s okay as long as I tried.

With the opening of the forums, the DSA Convention opened as well.
Already, DSA members were underway in developing RP. Four resolutions
have already been passed in the General Assembly of DSAC: Resolution 1, Resolution 2, Resolution 3, and Resolution 4. These resolutions
established international law on War Crimes, Crimes Against Sapient Beings,
Genocide, Chemical and Biological Weapons, and established the DSAC
Peacekeepers.
Any and all members of congress are allowed to participate in DSAC, and
no sign-up is required. As per the amendment, all MoC are automatically
allowed in. Until one is found, the Secretariat of DSAC shall continue to beStudent Loan Debt.
While the Convention was considered officially open back at the beginning
of August, it wasn't attempted to be used. That is, until the second war
between Dekks and Syvis occurred. In this war, Dekks
was using biological and chemical weapons. Many were asking if we could
condemn the nation under international law, but there was one problem:
international law wasn't a thing. The only law that there was was the
Connolly Act that preserves Suceavalgid, our southern most continent, as
a nature reserve. Seeking to create this, Student Loan Debt, current
Secretariat of the DSA Convention, brought to the floor the first 3 resolutions
in an attempt to establish base international law.

Welcome Comrade to the first issue of DSA Hubble Column here, in Solidarity
newspaper. This column wishes to inform all residents about our solar system.
For this purpose, we will present our latest data about each and every celestial
body of our solar system at first and in every next issue of Solidarity, while
later we can expand to our further mysterious universe.
It's been 15 days since the last issue of Solidarity, where our MoRPStudent Loan Debt announced Space RP. Liossalde, from
the first moment, has placed the availability of its space technology in the
wider interest of expanding knowledge about the world around us. All the
satellite network of the country in orbit with our planet, DSA, in cooperation
with the space stations of the other countries of the region, comprise in total
the DSA Hubble.
In a coordinated effort with the Cabinet Aide of Space and Such, Solus Unus,
Liossalde, designated Hubble Administrator, oversaw DSA's Hubble telescopes,
which were turned in the direction of our own star. After a week-long research,
DSA's Hubble team presents some basic elements of Toto By Africa, values for
its size, brightness, surface, temperature, etc., accompanied by the first photo
publication of our sun.

After a poll and vote were conducted, the solar system that the DSA
is located in has names for its celestial bodies now. Starting off
with the sun, its name is Toto By Africa. Following that are the
planets. In order from closest to TBA to farthest, the planets are
Alunya, Opala, Urborea, DSA (that's us), Ceryx, Eumolpus, Hekaton,
and lastly, Misley's Family Fun Big Top Circus Extravaganza.

I was watching some older Scott Manley videos one day
(fantastic space youtuber for real space knowledge if you want
some for your RP, but I digress), when a video about killer
asteroids gave me an idea for DSA RP - an asteroid coming at
the planet. It works well as an idea, because it forces
co-operation between nations for a common goal, which, in
such a world with random wars from sh*tpost nations, is a
great change of pace.
Normally in the real world we would likely have more advance
notice than a couple months, but I didn't want the RP to be so
long-term that I might not even be around at its conclusion,
let alone that other people would get bored of it as well. That
being said, the extreme short timescale forces me to be nice
to people with the outcomes, though getting at it faster is a
good idea, which is why officially stating that your nation has
launched something sooner rather than only having vague
plans for a while is highly recommended Regardless of how
this goes, there are plans for the future based on the outcome.

RP Creator: Student Loan Debt
Hello everyone, I'm sure that most of you know me as Dekks, 6'9
tall, 420 year old Posadist minister of having to become an ambassador
because I essentially don't do anything.
And I was fairly certain of that, certain of my identity, certain of who I am,
up until recent that is.
You see, there's something I feel I'm obliged to tell you all; I'm a furry.
The revelation began with that faithful voice chat with Solus Unus, we
were talking about shaving, and how I essentially do not want to shave,
then I misspoke by saying that by the time i'm old (yes 420 is still young,
or at least that's what I tell myself due to me not wanting to face my
mortality, which I somehow still have despite having survived this long.),
I want to have fur all over my body.
Solus declared me a furry, and I initially fought back these claimants,
even going as far as trying to censor her.
But due to her support, I began thinking, did I really say that as an accident,
or is there a part of me trying to get out, so I began educating myself, and
found idols in mediocre to sh*tty deviantart "artist", and Jacksfilms, with his
fursona Furvious.
Firstly I tried being the dog of Ivory rhodes, but now I am more confused
than ever, and need you loyal residents to help me with my Identity.
