The Empire of Milesier is a colossal, efficient nation, ruled by Malenia with an iron fist, and renowned for its ubiquitous missile silos, irreverence towards religion, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 2.643 billion Milesierians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The medium-sized, corrupt, socially-minded, well-organized government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Law & Order, Environment, and Education are also considered important, while Spirituality receives no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Babylon. The average income tax rate is 64.7%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The thriving Milesierian economy, worth 308 trillion Marks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, broadly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Tourism, Information Technology, and Book Publishing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 116,733 Marks, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Imitation is the sincerest form of felony, every record has been erased and every picture painted over, teachers regularly paddle unruly students, and polygraphs are relegated to the dungeon exhibit in castle museums. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Milesier's national animal is the Monkey, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Monkey Business.

Milesier is ranked 19,625th in the world and 287th in Europe for Highest Poor Incomes, with 92,341.21 Standard Monetary Units.
