Chihana - National Anthem of Hinodia
Chihana
English: Bloody Blossoms
English: Bloody Blossoms
National Anthem of Hinodia
Music: Hinomoto Folk Music
Lyrics: Unknown
Chihana (Velhinō: 血花 Romanization: Bloody Blossoms) is the national anthem of the Imperial Federation of Hinodia, and one of the only Velhinō songs to remain in use since the extinction of the ancient language. Despite it’s fame and popularity among all Hinodians regardless of blood, there is no knowledge on who exactly wrote the lyrics, however it is known that the poem that serves as the lyrics was written sometime in the early-mid 19th century, approximately the same era that Hinomoto was fighting for independence against a fracturing Daqin Republic. Romanticized stories and folktales tell of a forgotten soldier who wrote the words, or even a scholar who had been drafted to fight for the United Provinces of Hinomoto, but there is no consensus or proof to these tales.
