The Județ of Gorj is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Cosmin-Mihai Popescu with an even hand, and renowned for its zero percent divorce rate and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-working, devout population of 3.578 billion Gorjians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Law & Order, and Public Transport. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Târgu Jiu. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 15.0%.

The very strong Gorjian economy, worth 223 trillion lei a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Book Publishing industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Gambling, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 62,516 lei, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 179,307 per year while the poor average 17,339, a ratio of 10.3 to 1.

Ancestry test results arrive bundled with patent applications, dreams of entering the Super League have been relegated to the history books, the newest shade developed by Gorj's dye industry has been dubbed 'Agent Orange', and Târgu Jiu has restaurants serving every meat from aardvark to zebra. Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Gorj's national animal is the deer, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Gorj is ranked 90,835^th in the world and 40^th in Terranova for Largest Pizza Delivery Sector, scoring 2,268.22 on the Pepperoni Propulsion Productivity Index.
